My husband and I always go to the St. Paul Kincaid's Restaurant, and love it! We were giving the Bloomington Kincaid's a second chance after a miserable experience last year. Our server was excellent and the food was great. Glad to know that our earlier experience was just a fluke.

The waiter was nothing but attentive and willing to please. We had a lovely meal and a FABULOUS dessert. I'm a chocoholic and I enjoyed chocolate cake with ice cream and their homemade chocolate sauce. I couldn't have been happier.

Admittedly, I am very picky about my prime rib, and this one wasn't worth the price I paid. It didn't melt in my mouth. Perhaps it was a little under cooked (I ordered medium rare). On top of that, it was heated as your could tell from the cutside.

The food is fantastic. The service is great. It is expensive, but very much worth it on a special occasion or business outing. We have been going to Kincaid's for years and it is reliably wonderful.

We have been to both Kinkaids a few times & always have been pleased. We shared a bowl of the butternut squash soup which was outstanding. I had the special scallops & short ribs which was quite good. Our waiter was excellent. My wife's mahi mahi, however, seemed to be overcooked. The waiter & manager were very gracious and tried to accommodate for it. Since this was a special occasion for us it was a little disappointing for both of not to enjoy our meal.

Located a short drive from my home, Kincaid's has been a routine dining destination for years -- so familiar that I know most of the servers by name. The food is always good, though not particularly adventurous. I almost always select a seafood meal and their Maytag salad is sometimes enough to satisfy a visit. Their bar is one of the best in town, a place for conversation amid carefully prepared cocktails. They are one of the few places that has Plymouth gin!

I've always loved Kincaid's for special occasions and just because occasions. The ambiance is great, the servers are engaging and the service is excellent. I think the food use to be flawless but more recently I've found that you can have a meal you're not crazy about at Kincaid's. They're always very gracious and offer options, which I appreciate. I'd like it to get back to the time when you never had to worry if it would be good or not - that's the Kincaid's I loved.

Kincaids has always been an expensive restaurant and their are certain expectations that come with a high price meal. In the last two years the quality and the preparation of the food have declined significantly. The prime rib, one of their signature items, used to be a nice, thick cut of tender beef. The regular sized portion that I had on Saturday night was tough and overspiced. The vegetables were soft and not slightly crisp like they should be. My wife had the walleye dinner. It had so many sauces and items on top of it she had a hard time recognizing that she was eating fish. She certainly could not taste it. We now have had two bad dinners at Kincaids (this year and last) and will not return.

Since we are not originally from the twin Cities metro area, we knew the 1st time we visited that it was always going to be a special place for us to dine . We originally ate here about 15 years ago. My wife and I found it on a weekend away. The next two or three visits were made with our 3 boys. They loved it as much as we did . This visit was dinner for two of us to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We certainly were not disappointed .

Wasn't wild about the Grilled Teriyaki Tenderloin appetizer, too rare and not much flavor so will skip that next time. We love the warm bread. My husband pronounced his Clam Chowder soup, and Walleye with crisp asparagus entrée perfect. Grilled Salmon is my new favorite menu item, pairs well with the wild rice pilaf - absolutely delicious. This restaurant never disappoints.

We have dined at Kincaid's numerous times and always enjoy the food. I must admit the service was not on their A-game this evening. We had to ask for our bread while we were almost done with our salads and had to remind our waitress to bring our wine once our entrees had arrived. This was surprising as normally these would be non-issues. I had the special of the evening - Asiago Crusted Halibut which was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Mixed Seafood Feticcine as well. It's a lovely touch with the nice card and complimentary CREME Brule for dessert due to celebrating our anniversary.

Person who seated us didn't know my husband's name or that it was his birthday; the server knew both. Husband's steak & Caesars salad were very good as was my onion soup, bread & garlic butter. My Dungeness crab was dry and served without hot butter. Pleasant, but somewhat disappointing. Service was slow, but accurate. The Burnt cream was a nice treat.

We dine at Kincaids at least twice a year on our birthdays. I am not a food connoisseur by any means but I've never had a very satisfying meal at Kincaids. I often order fish or scallops and they are always over-cooked. This past July I ordered a Alaskan Halibut and it was dry and there was not enough gravy on my plate to subdue it. Last night I had the short ribs with scallops and pumpkin Risotto. The risotto, short ribs and veg were great and Scallops very over cooked. I like the wine selection. Again, not a connoisseur but I was able to find something I like. Kincaids is just 5 minutes from where we live and that is why we eat there. The ambiance and service is always great. I also love the rewards program.

As much as my husband and I dine out, Kincaid's-Bloomington remains our favorite restaurant for food, atmosphere and service. Hubby had the Halibut special and I had salmon, the same meals we ordered the prior week because it was that good. If I could, I'd dine here every night of the week. We think it's simply the best all-around and dependable dining experience.
