  • "Coming to Kincaids for us is for special occasions. It's a big treat to go there with friends. We were there just recently and couldn't have had a better time. The food was good and plentiful - no one left hungry. The seatingand the tables are spaced out in a way that we are not involvedf in other guests conversations. The servers are very friendly and very professional. We were with people who are involved with the airlines so the big treat was to watch for planes landing from the airline they work for. We had a real good time."

He and the waitress appeared to be sincerely apologetic. The cook didn't seem to care much. That part was disappointing but overall you need to try this place"

  • "I had a steak that was cooked perfectly, the wine was excellent and my colleague had fish that was also very good. The service was also attentive and good. I've eaten here 5+ times over the past 2-3 years and remember each of them being consistently very good overall. The only problem with the restaurant is the noise level. On several occasions it's been difficult to hold a conversation across the table from someone because the noise from large groups or the overall level of noise is high. I'd recommend coming at non-peak times or trying to sit closer to the outside of the dining area so you don't have this problem if you are a smaller group."

  • "Kincaids can be counted on for exceptional seafood and steaks. I have enjoyed many a fine and satisfying meal at a number of Kincaids locations. This Burlingame location is no exception whether it is a Crab Louie for lunch (what I had today...and it was delicious with a heaping pile of fresh, tasty crab atop) or A hearty well prepared Ribeye or Salmon filet for dinner. What makes this location special is the view, from a window side seat, of the San Francisco Bay and the East Bay across it. Just sitting in such a beautiful spot enjoying a truly fine meal reminds you how special living in or visiting and dining in the Bay Area is...doesn't get any better!"

  • "I'm a semi-regular at this establishment and usually enjoy myself. On this occasion I ordered the special "Live Lobster". I asked what was the difference between the regular lobster and the "Live" since they'll both be dead by the time they hit my table. I was told it would be "fresher and more tasty", so I bit. BIG MISTAKE! Not only wasn't more tasty, but for $50 it was a rip there was so little to salvage...a scrawny lobster to be sure. I will say our server did offer to bring me something else, saying, "I want you to be happy.", but when I order something and don't like it, I own it and won't order it again."

  • "A little disappointing. I used to come here quite often when I lived in the area so I looked forward to having dinner here. I felt the prices were very high for the quality. I did not feel the prime rib was up to the quality implied by the price ($36). The service was not very attentive and I expected better knowledge of the offerings. Quite honestly for the price, I should have gone to the House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. I guess they get away with the lack of quality and high price because they have a captive clientele of people on business trips staying near the airport."

  • "Our party consisted of three for lunch to celebrate my B-day. My lunch was great however one in our party had ordered bacon on her burger and did not get the bacon. The second person ordered the beef and crab sliders rare. She couldn't chew the meat as she said it was stringy. She had kind of picked at her lunch and when the waiter saw her plate being taken away they didn't ask if there had been something wrong with the lunch. When waiter asked one party if she was done with her beverage or still working on it the party said yes which meant she was still working on her beverage. With that the waiter picked it up and walked away with it."

  • "We are regulars at Hortatios and these two restaurants are very similar....though I think the food is slightly better at Hortatios. It was good at Kincaids also, but Hortatios is a cut above! I had the sea food salad and there are more asparagus and more artichokes at Horatios....Also, their lettuce has a delightful lemony taste, which I did not find at Kincaids....."

  • "Had not been to Kincaid's for dinner in several years but decided to choose this restaurant to take out of town guests. My first impression was that it has become dated and looks a bit worn. When our waiter came to our table, he acted and spoke as though he was some kind of rehearsed robot pointing out the menu. That was when I got my first shock, the prices had gone way up. They were actually higher than some of the San Francisco that we consider fine dining. The noise level was so high that all of us had a difficult time having conversation. The food came and we were terribly disappointed, especially for the prices. It seemed not much better than run of the mill low end chain restaurants. I will not be returning."

My initial visit was about a year and a half ago and was so impressed I made a reservation to host a business client who was attending the same conference I was in town for. Asked for and was given a table along the window to watch the planes approach SFO over the bay waters which added to the evening's enjoyment. The food was outstanding as I remembered and I consumed every morsel with sheer delight. My client from the Midwest was similarly blown away by the food and service and was still thanking me the next day for selecting "Kincaid's". Next time out to the Bay area, this will be a 'must stop' again!"

The desserts were very yummy. 5 of us shared 3 desserts. Because it was a Friday night and it was packed it was hard to hear everyone at our table but you can easily talk to the person next to you."

  • "I use to work near by and would frequent Kincaid's and always enjoyed it. It's been nearly a year since I had the opportunity to eat dinner there and was pleasantly surprised by the changes. The new booth upholstery brought new life to the dining room. The food was even better than before. I highly recomment the sable fish with the blood orange sauce. It was delicious. I should also mention that the service was also very good..The server was engaging and attentive."
