  • "I had to invite VIPs and asked the restaurant to reserve the table beside the windows. When we arrived at the restaurant, most of the tabels were already occupied. And the nice table was kept for us. I appreciate this kind of service for the special request from the customer. The one thing I have to mention is that in the past we could order only appetizer first and start enjoying the dinner, and later we could order the main dishes. However we were told that we had to order everything at the same time including main dishes and dessert. This change ordering system was a little uncomfirtable. And it took a longer time than expected when we ask something to the staff."

  • "I have been coming here for over 20 years and have seen it go up and down in terms of quality and my enjoyment eating there. I keep coming back because I have a large reserve of goodwill for Kincaids and generally the experience is good. Today was a good day. Our server Sage was friendly and helpful. Our entrees of salmon and mahi mahi were both hot and well prepared. The lobster bisque was good, as was the key lime pie. Add in a beautiful day over the bay and we were glad we went."

  • "It was a delightful experience. The food was beautifully served and everything was fresh. We had a waiter named Noel, who was helpful in suggesting items and extremely polite. We even had a sample dessert of creme brûlée. Lovely. All in all, a very nice place for lunch with a open air view near the airport but you do not hear the planes."

  • "I often take family and visiting friends to your restaurant for a special dinner. The staff is always courteous and knowledgeable, the food on this night was exceptional. 3 of us had the salmon and one had the beef short ribs. The next day my wife and I received sincere thank you notes from our guests (who were visiting from London England). One would think we had prepared the dinner rather than leaving all the work to your wonderful restaurant. I try to go to dinner there at least once every 6 weeks, more often when we are entertaining visiting guests. Thank you, thank your chefs, thank your wait staff."

  • "Kincaid's in Burlingame has been one of our favorite restaurant since moving to the Mid-Peninsula 20 years ago. The food and service quality has been consistently good, with that warrants the higher prices for most offerings. We recently tried out the Sunday "early bird" fixed price three course offerings. The offerings were well prepared, and the fixed price was very reasonable. I had an salad with a well balanced dressing, salmon which was cooked perfectly, and the to-die for key lime pie for desert. The only glitch was the kitchen forgot to add a vegetable to my spouse's plate, and we had some difficulty in getting it corrected. Generously, we were comped for a spinach side dish ordered."

  • "Good food, good service & great views!! One of my favorite place to eat in the peninsula. Not overly priced this restaurant is a good place to celebrate any occasion. It's not too noisy and I love the ambience. If you come for a late dinner you can watch the sunset during the summer."

However our lunches today were a bit on the salty side, my husband had fish and chips and I had open faced crab sandwich. The service is always great here!! As for the desert, the key lime pie was a flop...too much whipped cream on top and the taste was bland."

  • "Took a good friend here for a farewell lunch--she is retiring from her job and I wanted a nice memory for both of us. Service a bit slow/spotty altho server was pleasant. Food was excellent--my friend had Mahi Mahi with roasted vegetables that was presented very well and delicious and I had burger and yummy house made chips---but we had to wait 40 minutes after ordering to be served. We did come in at end of lunch crowd (reservations were for 12:45pm) but good thing we were not on a regular lunch hour or we would not have made it back to office in time. So---great food, great location, okay service but long wait for food."

  • "We had a reservation and were seated right away. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table and offered us water. Young Waitress little to no experience. Salad was served before our wine arrived. Waitress couldn't answer questions about the menu. We had a birthday celebration, they brought out a small complimentary creme brulee with a candle in it but hadn't brought any desert menus to the table, so our guest ate alone while everyone watched. Food was average. Portions are big. Sauces didn't work on any of the entrees."

  • "Our last dining experience at Kincaid was A+. Return on June 22, with a party of seven to celebrate a birthday dinner. The foods where salty and over cooked. Kincaid has high standards. What happen 2 the Kincaid chefs??? I would like a refund."

  • "We dine here all of the time...kind of our go to until our last visit. The air conditioning system was blowing directly on us...we asked the server if she could do anything and she happily was able to have it turned off. Our experience got better however our food was cold as a result. Not 5 minutes later the air was back on. Our server noticed it right away and called a manager over to us. This is where it went bad to worse. The manager kept saying "I don't know what happened" no apology, just confrontational. I told him that we eat there all of the time and this is the worse experience we have ever had and because of his attitude...we will not be back."

  • "My husband and I LOVE Kincaids and our last visit did not disappoint. I had the Halibut Cheeks (to die for) and got a side of the mac & cheese with truffle oil. My husband ate 1/2 my mac and cheese (he is normally not a fan). We started with the Artichoke Crab dip. I love this dip. I had the pear bread pudding for dessert; wasn't the greatest, but wasn't bad. I would stick with the crème brulee in the future."

  • "I went to Kincaid's for lunch after a long flight home from Richmond, VA. My waiter took my drink order shortly after I was seated, but then he disappeared for 20 minutes with no drink and no water. I got the manager and he took my food order after sitting about 25 minutes. I got my drink after a half hour, but I did not receive my food after sitting for 45 minutes. I ordered one of their lunch specials, so it should not have taken this long. Since it took a half hour to get my drink and 45 minutes with no food, I left the restaurant. This is one of my worst dining experiences I've had in a while and I travel and eat out frequently. I won't be going back to Kincaid's any time soon!"

  • "We were a party of 9 that ate here on a busy Father's Day weekend. The experience started out great. We were escorted to a table by the window and the waiter took our drink orders while the rest of our party parked. The food was great. They were accommodating about bringing high chairs. But at the conclusion of the meal there was no waiter. My husband had to walk into the kitchen to find the waiter who abandoned us. No offer of coffee or dessert. I understand that 18% is put on to a check of large parties and normally we tip on top of that. In this case it was a rip off. Too bad. The service ruined an otherwise good impression. We won't be back any time soon."

  • "We arrived about 15 minutes late for an already late dinner reservation. The staff was gracious and we never felt rushed. We were offered everything on the menu, including drinks and last call from the bar. We were given great service, ate delicious food in comfort and even though no one else was left in the restaurant, we never felt pressured to leave. I have been to this restaurant many times and would come again many times."
