  • "We had the Fusion seafood wonton soup which was very good followed by what I would describe as a Cajun shrimp bisque with mushrooms over grits that was unbelievably good....we also had the king Salmon which was perfect, super fresh and delicious.....First class food,go here and eat!"

  • "It was great food all around. The oysters both raw and cooked had some great and interesting flavors. Everyone had wonderful entrees. We will be back"

  • "The dinner special was great as well as the service. Extra special bread also. Waiting 15 minutes for our desert, however, put a damper on our dining experience. We finally told the waiter to cancel it, paid the bill and left. So many restaurants fail at the end of the meal."

  • "We both had seafood. Both meals were superb. Reasonable price, given the quality. Will go there again."

  • "I try to visit every time I am in Anchorage. I almost always am there for work and therefor done alone. I have never felt I was treated any differently than the couples or groups that are most of the rest of the diners, which is nice."

  • "My girlfriend and I looked forward to our 3rd dining experience at the Kincaid Grill and we were not disappointed! We were looking for exceptional cuisine and a quiet romantic atmosphere....again we were very pleased with both the atmosphere and unmatched service! Our filet special's with cherry compote were tender and cooked to perfection! We can't wait to return!"

  • "Normally, I don't enjoy going to a nice place because I feel like I could have made the dinner myself and saved some money, but not here. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits-AMAZING! The cream sauce is cut with a vinegar zingy flavor and cilantro. I ordered the cioppino and was very happy. The seafood in both dishes was cooked perfectly. We ordered the oysters casino-wonderful minerally sweet flavor, again, cooked perfectly. The service was great and they do have an extensive wine list. Yum! Lots of people around us seemed to order their filet. I will go back!"

  • "We enjoyed our meal tremendously - we both had the filet mignon with the parmesan crusted potato cake and brussel sprouts, which was one of the specials of the day. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and wine. Do not be put off by the fact that this restaurant is in a strip mall - it is well worth a visit. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Service was great. Other than the waitress serving wine after opening the bottle, we poured the remainder ourselves. Very pleasant and knowledgeable waitress with frequent check-ins on us. It would have been nice if she would have noticed that our wine glasses were empty and poured some more. No biggie really though. The food was a great combination of flavors that paired very well together. The portions were very large and after awhile all the flavors just ran together as the presentation of my salmon was stacked with all the veggies and sauces. I guess that I'm one of those people that likes my foods separated on the plate so that I can enjoy each individually or combine myself. Sauces were wonderful. We will be back."

  • "I wanted a lovely, quiet dining place to meet up with a long time friend that I had not seen for a couple of years. Kincaid Grill was the first restaurant to come to mind. It was perfect, the food was wonderful, perfectly done and the presentation so nice my friend took a picture. The restaurant was full and yet we could carry on a conversation easily. Our server was attentive without being obtrusive. It was all I was hoping for."

  • "We treated ourselves and our visitors from Chicago to a dinner; the visitors said their experience was comparable, if not better, than what they've enjoyed in Chicago. Everything we ordered was to our liking, but the halibut, the lamb chop lollypops, and the cioppino were highlights. Our server was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. This is a great alternative to downtown restaurants and we are spreading the word to our friends. We will return."

  • "The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was over the top. It was beautifully presented and the tastes were varied and delicious. I hope to return soon and often as it is one of Anchorage's best restaurants."

  • "My daughter and I enjoyed the relaxed feel of the restaurant. We will definitely return. The halibut ceviche wrap appetizer was amazing, and as always loved the seafood fusion soup. I thoroughly enjoyed one of the evening specials of beef shoulder medallions with the onion jam. Cooked perfectly, so delicious. Service was fantastic from the minute we walked in the door."

  • "A bit off the beaten path but well worth seeking out. Inventive and delicious food with worldwide influences--clams with Thai broth, halibut special with polenta, Mediterranean tapas appetizer plate. A good number of wines by the glass so you can pair your courses. Comfortable bar area as well. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. We'll be back.......often I hope."

  • "You can't beat Kincaid Grille for fine dining in Anchorage. Lovely atmosphere with lots of natural light spilling in through the windows. Great wines. We always order from the specials because there is so much going on on every plate, and the chefs obviously take great pride in their work. They even let us substitute filet mignon with the beef shoulder special. Great salads, soups, appetizers... we could go on and on. After some less than steller experiences recently at other fine-dining establishments in Anchorage, we chose Kincaid Grille knowing we would have a great time and a great meal. "

  • "Had a good time, got put in the back room and anticipated a quiet evening. Large group came and detroyed that idea. If you are looking to for a more intimate plan then I would suggest the main dining room. The back room acoustics make it quiet loud for other tables if a large group is dining."

  • "We are never disappointed with Kincaid Grill. Hate to spend that kind of money when the food is not good, but the food at Kincaid Grill is consistently outstanding. We have never taken anyone there that has not been impressed by their high standards. Please keep it up, because that is where so many other restaurants fail. "

  • "Dined here for my birthday with my wife. The food was good, but the service was excellent. Meals are expensive relative to portion size, but I thought worth it."

  • "Really, this place is simply the best food in Anchorage. I've eaten here many times and I've never had a bad meal. This last meal, the Chef even popped out and gave us a try of his crab cakes. I always bring friends here, especially if they've never eaten here before. The best part is? It's in my neighborhood!"

  • "The Kincaid Grill is an excellent place for a wonderful dinner whether you are alone (which I was) or with a group. The food is well prepared, and wonderful wine to go along. Staff as a whole are knowledgeable "

  • "A noteworthy dining experience needs three things, good wine, imaginative & fresh food, and excellent service. (Fun dinner companions are a given). When deciding where to eat out Kincaid Grill is always a top contender. Our food was excellent and the service delightful. "

  • "I was waiting for a late night flight and found this gem. "

  • "Both my husband and I ordered the tasting course with wine. He doesn't usually go for this feature, preferring to order off the menu and pick at what I allow from my courses. This time he did and was quite impressed. My only disappointment was the Halibut with a tomatoe cream sauce that was a little heavy on the smoke flavour. Everything else was fantastic. It was quite a busy night so the table service suffered a bit but not to the point where it was annoying. This is our go to restaurant for food and ambience whether by ourselves, with family or friends."

  • "We've visited Kincaid Grill several times when we want to celebrate a special occasion, or even just treat ourselves to a good meal. The food and service are consistently excellent. Didn't think they could top that, but the food on our visit on March 28 was the best we've ever had while dining here. Two members of our group had the five-course meal. Two of us ordered off the regular menu. Each item was well seasoned, beautifully presented, and greatly enjoyed."

  • "The perfect dinner. The beet salad was delicious- golden and red beets with two small fried goat cheese balls. The king salmon was unbelievable. I eat a lot of salmon; the serving size generous, cooked perfectly and the drizzle of sauce on top delicious. A great dining experience. Jerzy, our server was very on top of everything."

  • "From start, to finish, an excellent dining experience."

  • "While the food and service were equal to the cost of the food, the back room where we ate dinner was so cold we had to eat with our coats on. The waitress never asked if we were cold and only when we asked if the heat could be turned up so we could enjoy our meal did she note that it was colder in our area then the other part of the establishment."

  • "Regular over many years. Seen prices rise. Clientele change. Sometimes hard to get in. But non of the above tonight. Halibut best ever, corn crab bisc to die for. Great service."

  • "I remember this restaurant back when it was still Gesine's. The food is still amazing. We had the 5-course meal. The wine pairings were perfect. The proportions seemed small at first glance, but after 5 courses we ended up pleasantly full without that overstuffed feeling. Every course was wonderful, beautifully presented, and the serving staff were some of the best I've ever seen anywhere. The prices are on the high side, but if you are looking for a special night out, this is definitely the place. The only drawback is the location. While they have done wonders with what they have, it is still a small place in a strip mall. The food is worthy of much more."

  • "The King Salmon was fresh and the leak and mushroom sauce served with it was delicious. My friends ordered the Filet Minjon and said it was one of the best they have tasted. The potatoes serviced with our dishes was very creamy. We also ordered the oysters for an appetizer and definitely recommend this dish as well. The service was outstanding, our waiter and bus staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We also enjoyed the olive bread."

  • "Staying near the Anchorage airport, looking for a nice spot for dinner, gave Kincaid Grill a try. Turned out to be a find. Great food, from the bread, to the soup (I had the turnip with scallop) to a great salmon preperation. Great service too; got a great recommendation on a wine to match the meal."
