the food at Kimis leaves a lot to be desired! We have eaten there a few times now and not one dish is memorable except for being mediocre. Kimis is way too expensive for such poor choices and execution. However, the dining room and setting is beautiful.

    Dined on 7/14/2012
We went for a summer brunch based on a friend's recommendation. The service was welcoming, friendly, and unobtrusive, the food was delicious, and the view was spectacular. We lingered for almost two hours and there was only one or two other tables filled at any time (maybe not best for business, but it was nice to have a quiet, peaceful meal). The rain and weather had us eating inside, but I look forward to coming back and dining around the fire pits outside. I would highly recommend Kimi's.

Kimi's Mountainside is always a treat. The food is terrific, and the mountainside setting is amazing. We were very impressed with the service. When it got a bit chilly sitting outside, Kimi set us up with a cozy gas fire pit. Then she brought us blankets!!! We could be comfortable and still enjoy the view. We love Kimi and her restaurant!

Kimi is a wonderful host who takes very good care of her diners. The menu was full of wonderful selections, and there was something for everyone. The kitchen even created a special sauce to serve over the salmon for one of our group who couldn't have bacon. We all enjoyed our meals very much, and also our great visit with Kimi! The setting was wonderful, and the food was delicious. We followed Kimi from when she had a restaurant in downtown SLC -- dining at Kimi's is a tradition that we look forward to continuing.

Make sure you ask for a window seat in front of the huge window looking out on the bottom of one of Solitude's slopes. The food is elegant and nicely presented. Both times we've visited we've enjoyed the cheese fondue with bread and apples. The steak pizza was excellent as was a salad we chose. The menu all looks very good though. The prices are a bit high, but if you are going out for a special occasion, I would choose Kimi's over Log Haven any day.

We must have gone right during the transition out of the peak season. The menu was smaller than what we saw on the website, and they didn't have the one entree that my boyfriend and I were both looking forward to. The food was good, but it was quite a let down, especially since we checked the menu on the website right before we went.

We had a fabulous dinner! Highly recommend the pork chop...thick, juicy with a cherry sauce! Yum. NY steak was outstanding as well. Each day after skiing we stopped in for drinks/food. $1 sliders, jalapeno poppers and wings were outstanding. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Will certainly make this our first choice for dinner and after ski drinks each year.

We went to Kimis for a ski lunch break and really enjoyed it. I had the mushroom soup which was some of the best I've had - others had salads and sandwiches and everyone enjoyed their food. They have a good wine list by the glass and by the bottle. It wasn't a warm day so we sat inside but the patio area looks great for when the weather gets better. We had such a nice lunch we'll definitely try it out for dinner.

We've been to Kimi's during the summer to dine on the gorgeous patio for brunch. Last week was our first time for dinner. The restaurant is nestled mountainside within the Solitude Resort. It's a long drive but well worth it. The walk from the parking lot is quite a ways (maybe half a block) so I wouldn't bring my grandparents knowing there is no drop off close to the door. But for our able bodied group of eight, the walk was quite enjoyable as we passed the steaming pool, outdoor fireplace and a skating rink with kids playing. I was glad to have a reservation as it was crowded. Wine list was substantial and not too pricey. We had a California Zin. We ordered quite a few appetizers and the table favorites were the hummus & crab cakes. No rm

We attended the Thanksgiving buffet. I especially enjoyed the appetizer table with unique fare such as brie rolled in hazelnuts and dotted with cranberry compote. The entree choices of ham, beef, or turkey and accompanying side dishes, satisfied everyone. Our server was classy, unobtrusive, yet efficient. I was most pleased with the fact that conversation volumes were effortless to compete with in a pleasant dining area with views of the snow covered mountain. I noticed one table thought ahead and were allowed to bring their own wine bottle. (A good wine list is available through the restaurant also.)
