"I'd been here once before for a networking evening. It was great for that. I took my date here and we were seated in a nice secluded table angled toward the window. However, the window looked out into a private party room that wasn't being used, so that was a missed opportunity for better ambiance. Frankly, except for the jalapeño martini, the food was not on par with so many other places. The cheese plate had decent cheese and I liked the quince paste, but the (not enough) honey and vinegar were hidden on the clear plate on top of the brown table. We've simply had so many better cheese plates anywhere else. The food was just okay. They just need to improve little things and it would be a great repeat for a romantic dinner."

"Located in a business plaza, which I suppose is typical for Irvine restaurant. Service was lacking. We stood at the hostess stand for several minutes before anyone came to greet us. We asked about Happy hour specials and the hostess was not able to provide any information. We were seated in a nice booth, however, we were left seated without any service for at least 10 minutes. The entire staff seemed pretty clueless. Finally the hostess came back to inform us that happy hour was only at the bar, so we proceeded to go the bar, since we were not getting service at our table. The bar was vibrant, however, again the service was lacking. We sat ourselves and no one came over for at least 10 minutes. Happy hour food was pretty good."
