A word from Kiki's Bistro
Kiki's is a French Bistro with regional specialties and has the look and feel of a French country inn.

It has received 3-star reviews from both *The Chicago Tribune* and *The Sun Times*, and now in its eighteenth year, Kiki's Bistro maintains its well-earned reputation of gastronomic excellence and friendly, professional service. A comfortable French country atmosphere attracts an eclectic array of food-lovers, including celebrities, politicians, and acclaimed chefs.

Previous to Kiki's Bistro, Georges "Kiki" Cuisance opened Le Bordeaux at Madison and State in 1969. The restaurant attained a revered status among cosmopolitan Chicagoans, and when "Kiki" moved his kitchen to its current River North digs, his avid following of regulars and Francophiles pursued without hesitation. In an official proclamation the City of Chicago praised Mr. Cuisance for being at the forefront of introducing French cuisine and savoir-vivre to Chicago's developing dining scene.

Diner Reviews
  • "Took my husband to Kiki's for his birthday and it didn't disappoint. From the valet to the waiter everyone was out to make our night special. Food was top notch. From the traditional to the menu specials. Highly recommend it for your special occasion or for dinner if you're in the mood for French. "

  • "Kiki's is always a dependable choice for a nice casual bisto meal. The food quality may have slipped a bit over the years, and the wine list is limited, but service is amiable and the surroundings are pleasant."

  • "We went to Kikis on a Saturday night to celebrate my husband's retirement. Everything from the chicken to beef to fish entres were fabulous. Almost all at our table had the French onion soup which was raved about-- best they ever had, not to salty etc. Service was prompt and attentive, the only issue being that the credit card system went down and we had to wait for our bill for quite a long time. The atmosphere was lovely and although crowded there was no problem with hearing discussions at our table of 8. We would definitely return to KIki's"

  • "Everything about Kiki's--from Kiki himself greeting you at the door to the quality of the great bistro dishes--is excellent. It has been open and full for years for that reason. Kiki's is a destination restaurant, and it is always worth the trip."

  • "This was my second time at Kiki's and it was even more delicious than my first time there. I went there with my family for my birthday dinner and we ordered a few appetizers, including the frog legs, and everything was delicious! I tried a bite of everyone's entree as well and they were all amazing. Also, i have to specifically talk about the dessert i ordered: the Tarte aux Pommes...it was pure perfection. The apple tart was perfectly flaky and crispy with a hint of doughiness, covered in a warm caramel sauce and topped with a scoop of ice cream. It is literally one of the most amazing things i have EVER eaten. I will be back!!!"

  • "I hadn't been here in a couple of years....Kiki's is just sort of off the beaten path despite it's close proximity to the Loop. We were able to find on-street parking quite nearby; had a delicious dinner with attentive, knowledgeable service; and--in part because we were dining early on a Saturday evening--were able to converse without having to shout at each other across the table. Sad that quiet dining is such a rarity these days. Request a secluded table at Kiki's and have a romantic dinner with a loved one!"

  • "From the welcome at the door on yet another frigid Chicago evening, to the assistance with our coats as we were leaving the experience was a delight. Our servers, from the wine steward to the waiters were pleasant, informative and of course the food was delicious. Glad to see patrons of all ages enjoying themselves. Kiki, personally, and the restaurant, never disappoints."

  • "When I want to enjoy a quite evening for just the two of us Kiki's is one of my Hot Spots to go!! A quite table in the corner, a nice bottle of wine and one of Kiki's Specials (which this evening was the "Beef Bourguignon", which was the best ever)!! Kiki's never seems to have a bad nite, whether you are having their to die for French Onion Soup, Steak Pomme Frites, Steak Au Poive,Half Roasted Chicken or one of the evening specials. Parking is free, reservations are easy on Open Table & the food & service are outstanding!! Enjoy!!"

  • "Hadn't been to Kiki's for some time so made arrangements to meet up with friends there for dinner on a cold winters night. This little French bistro has just the right atmosphere to welcome you in from the cold. Starting with there little fireplace to their homey wooden beamed ceiling. We were greeted warmly and promptly showed to our table. The waitress was there immediately to take our drink orders and was very helpful with dinner suggestions. The beef Bourgogne was delicious and just right for the night. We also appreciated that we could sit and catch up without having to shout at one another. Overall a great experience."

  • "Every time I eat at Kiki's I think...why don't I come here more often? We were seated by Kiki at a lovely corner table within seconds of arrival on a crowded Saturday night...with our reservation. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The place was packed but that did not affect the food or the service both of which were terrific. We had the salmon and the grouper which were delicious and beautifully plated. We started with a fabulous spinach salad that featured dried cherries and walnuts. And we drank many glasses of White Burgundy. This charming restaurant is so quaint and the menu is so wonderful that I plan to visit more often. I would highly recommend KiKi's to everyone who enjoys eating."
