The back smells of the bathrooms and not very appetizing. The food was great but they had run out of certain items (it was 7pm)."

  • "The restaurant has wonderful atmosphere and great service. We started with papaya salad which non of us really liked, had sauteed Chinese broccoli which in our opinion had way to much soy sauce but was good. For our entrees my husband had Prawns which he says were just OK nothing really special, I had drunken noodle which I felt was a smaller portion but it was tasty. Our daughter had mussels which most of them were closed which is not a good sign she had to send them back. I will say the server was wonderful and the manager came over to say he was sorry and took off the mussels and gave us free dessert. So all in all it was good but to us not great."

  • "Went with my wife while on vacation. We eat out quite a bit and are not the type of people who often send back or complain about an order unless it's eggregiously wrong. I ordered chicken pad Thai (which is an up charge for the protein). When I got the dish it had only (what appeared to be) tofu in it. I called the server and pointed out they brought it without the chicken. He proceeded to have me look around the dish until I was able to locate the sole piece of chicken in it. Again, not one to complain and certainly not one to ask for bill adjustments but absolutely nothing was done and the final bill came out with the protein up charge. Completely amateur service and a disgrace to charge for what we got."

  • "Based on some reviews, we went to KRH on Monday for lunch. The place was relatively empty, but that was to be expected on Monday. We thought that we would get burst of flavors, above and beyond a regular Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was not very exciting and somewhat bland. The portions were very small, so we had to load up on rice to get full. Nothing special - you would get a better value going to a neighborhood Thai restaurant."

Yellow curry was boring and Masaman beef tasted as though the beef was boiled in water and then added to curry sauce. Waitress was extra bold but tolerable. Our group of 5 wasn't impressed."

  • "We had dinner at this restaurant in May 2014. Though the options for vegetarians are limited, the food that's vegetarian friendly is outstanding. For appetizers we had the Burmese fresh noodle wraps which were awesome. For main we had the Vegetable Fried Rice which was good, but we felt the portion size was a tad too small. From an ambiance perspective, the lights could have been a made little less brighter to make the space feel more cozy. One small thing that did sour the otherwise great experience was that our server swiped our credit card for some other table's check. Though she promptly reversed the transaction and correctly processed the our check, I would have felt better had she informed me without prompting from our side. "

My favorite was the seafood noodles and the charred okra. DELICIOUS. I don't live in Miami but if I ever get back, this is definitely top of my list to visit. "

Poor managing of the program. The floor manager was scene more focused dancing near the bar and high fiving other saff members then actually ensuring any guest satisfaction. One of our 2 appetizers came after our entree arrived. This used to be a local gem and has now become another generic offering near Lincoln avenue."

  • "I heard many great things about this place so when I had the chance to pick a late-night-bite spot, my mind immediately went to KHONG River House. Upon walking in, I fell in love with the ambiance. The whole energy was great: cool, boathouse, no-nonsense. The smell coming from the kitchen made my palette very excited. The drink menu was filled with distinctive and enticing cocktails. I decided upon the Lanmei Cooler, which was so refreshing and unexpected! The dill in it gave the drink an interesting twist. Food-wise, I had the Thai Summer Rolls to start and the Short Rib Panang Curry as an entree. Both dishes were very good offering an interesting mix of flavors: sweet, hot, tangy, minty. I'm looking forward to my return!"

  • "I suspect one's experience at KRH can be extremely variable as it seems dependent on service and food selections. Our server was not particularly helpful, knowledgeable, interested, or attentive. The food was good, but not worthy of the accolades we'd read. The decor was cool and fun, but the restaurant was loud. Sitting adjacent to the phone was an extra challenge to my conversation - despite our advance reservations. For conversation you should ask to sit toward the rear (rest rooms!). It was also disappointing that the chef was not offering summer rolls that evening :(. The Masaman curry was very good. An interesting experience, but not spectacular."

Our Thai spare ribs were delicious as was the Prawn Pad Thai.....I also loved the rotisserie chicken salad.....a big hit with my friends! I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back."

  • "Khong delivers. The menu is short but it has some very special seafood dishes as well duck, etc. The best is the food which combines mainly Vietnese and Thai specialties. Three appetizers and three main courses and 5 out of 6 I will qualify as excellent. The place is very nicely decorated and the service was very good. For the price of about $50 a piece including a mid-priced wine, it far exceeded my expectations."

Some great flavors, good mix of appetizers, main course, noodles, etc. Service was very attentive, very nice upbeat crowd, good shopping right outside the door. We were thrilled with the experience and would return again."
