Diner Reviews
  • "This was our first time here( it won't be the last ) . We arrived early in the evening 5:30 and it was very quite only a handful of people. The waiter was very attentive and helpful with the menu. We had 2 appetizers , The pakora's and the ribs , both where delicious as was the Butter chicken and Naan bread. The only downside was that I don't expect to pay more for a virgin Caesar ( it was a short glass) than my husbands beer."

  • "Both had "dinners"from menu but different ones and both were great food was delivered at a nice pace and weren't rushed at all. We were using a Groupon but have been here without just gave us an excuse to return to Khazana and will be back pup on or not. Try the Indian ice cream. Wow"

  • "Khazana was perfect for our group lunch. The ambiance with the fire in the middle of the room was excellent since it was a chilly day outside. The decor was warm and inviting. The chalice's made it feel like we were on a get away. I only would recommend that the staff inform that it is buffet only. The staff were very efficient but they didn't seem warm or friendly. Tandoori chicken was outstanding. I'm not sure why chow mein was a buffet option. Thanks!"

  • "The servers were attentive and helpful. The service was prompt and the food was good but the saltiness of it was almost overpowering. I couldn't eat much of it unfortunately because of this. The chef and those in the kitchen should try too revamp some of their recipes to reflect this."

  • "I took my partner out for his birthday dinner and chose this restaurant because they have good food. When we arrived, we sat down at our table. There was a huge kid birthday party that took up half of the restaurant. Kids were running around, poping balloons and blowing whistles. It was so loud that I could barely hear my partner talk. It reminded me of being at a chucky cheese restaurant. We did not stay and decided to try another restaurant downtown as it was Friday night and we wanted to enjoy our night out without having migraines."

  • "We went here for Valentine's Day and had the buffet, which offered a wide variety of excellent dishes - goat, shrimp, chicken, lamb and an assortment of curries. Small but decent salad bar and a good selection of desserts. There is great ambiance here; we sat by the open fireplace. Service was professional and friendly but a tad slow, but we were in no hurry. This is a great place for a romantic dinner or small group of friends wanting great food and conversation."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for Valentines. We both really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, our server was barely passable as ok (the rest of the staff seemed very friendly and helpful though). It was a tad bit expensive compared to similar Indian restaurants in the city. I would come back here again though, quite happy with the overall experience."

  • "Kazhana's restaurant Downtown continues to provide both exceptional customer service and top quality traditional Indian dishes. Staff are most accommodating to your special request and graciously offering everything available to make your dining experience memorable."

  • "Love the butter chicken! It is different from other Indian restaurant I have been too! The restaurant ambience is nice and cozy! I just do hope, the waiters would smile a little!"

  • "I am a regular visitor. I like Khazana for its very good food and nice interior design. Addition of new painting is very good. I enjoy lunch or dinner with my family and friends."

  • "The food is excellent. Much of it is done in the tandoori oven and uses marinated meats. Very tasty. The best dish was a marinated cauliflower that is cooked in the oven, it is our favourite by far. Very nice space, welcoming and warm. We will be returning for sure."

  • "I have been there couple of time and with my friends. I will say food is ok. I liked there La carte over buffet. i felt the Paneer in buffet was not tasty and It was tender. The ambiance is pretty good and I will recommend it to try out once but If you know how east Indian food taste then I will say You will not like buffet here."

  • "We ate at Khazana's again after an absence of several years and left slightly disappointed. The buffet seemed to be "dumbed down" , offering less dishes that were not as interesting or as spicy as before. We may try it again in the future but not for a special occasion with friends who have never been before."

  • "Place is very big and has a cared Indian decoration all along the walls, ceiling made of wood and nice fire in the centre. Food amount can be overwhelming, that's why it's a good place for groups or sharing among 3 or more people. Their menu is very extensive, so I would suggest to aks for features or recommendations to waiter. As appetizer, fried fish is delicious. Yellow lentils and goat meat are good choices as main dishes, however thy put too much cilantro on it."

  • "I have reviewed this restaurant numerous times and our experience has never changed. It is a personal favorite of ours. We love the food, and the staff are so kind, helpful and friendly. The fire and lighting are so calming and welcoming. I feel relaxed every time I enter the place."

  • "Khazana is so beautiful inside, it looks like a page out of a romantic cabin with the wood tables and fireplaces. Their lunch is fantastic but honestly ordering off the menu for dinner is the way to go if you know what you're doing. I would highly recommend trying the Bhindi (okra) dish. It is perhaps my favourite Indian dish in the city, this coming from an East Indian. I would also recommend trying the lemon rice as a side and the Alu (potato) naan over the regular naan. If you like Indian, this is an awesome place to go."

  • "I go here for lunch buffet at least once a month because I like the food. I've never had such lack luster service here before though. At lunch, even when it's busy. In the evening, when our party comprised half the diners in the restaurant that night, we couldn't get service at all. One member needed a new napkin, but we couldn't get it. We wanted to order more beer but couldn't get service. The bhindi was great, but I'll never take a group back here in the evening."

  • "The food was amazing, the best Indian food I've ever had. The servers were very prompt and went the extra mile to ensure Gluten Free options were made available."

  • "Went with a group from work, food was excellent, well seasoned and the naan was so fresh. The buffet was clean and well done. The waiter service was a little lacking but he did refill our water glasses. Overall it was a good experience, great food and I can't wait to go back."

  • "We recently moved to BC and had returned to Edmonton, AB to visit family and friends for the weekend. We booked a reservation on OpenTable at Khazana's - Fine Indian Cuisine to visit with a group of friends. Khazana's had been one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Edmonton. The restaurant accommodated our group and we enjoyed a good visit - it was quiet enough to engage in conversations without having to raise your voice to be heard. The food is still as flavorful as we remembered; the menu has been updated and expanded since our last visit. The staff were attentive and allowed us lots of time to order has we visited with our friends. Thank you for an enjoyable dinner experience, Khazana's!!"

  • "One of Edmonton's most ambient restaurants. Staff excell at customer service. Chefs prepare some of the most delectible home cooked cusine you will find in Edmonton. I highly recommend this reaturant to couples, families, and business groups."

  • "We enjoyed the buffet - food was good, nice large glasses of wine, Since we ordered the buffet, not much service is required but the waiters could be a little more attentive. Only complaint is the pre-made chai tea in the urn on the buffet is not worth drinking - tasted like luke warm milk with very little chai taste. Next time, I would ask for a freshly brewed real chai tea."

  • "We had a wonderful experience with our server and cuisine. The naan and the salmon were amazing. I didn't think I liked Indian food before and now consider it a favorite. Was so glad I took the chance and can't wait to go back again!!!"

  • "We have frequented this restaurant for two or three years now, based on a recommendation by a friend. We LOVE it and return time after time! Starting from the ambiance - warm, relaxing and inviting to the delicious food served by the most professional, friendly people. I would be unable to list one negative thing about Khazana."

  • "Khazana provides a wide variety of East Indian dishes for their lunch buffet. I went to Khazana with a group of people for a retirement lunch. There were so many items to chose from, that most people at my table took a little bit of all food dishes. The dishes were flavourful and medium spicy. The lunch buffet was reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant for any individual who likes authentic East Indian food."
