Built in 1925, the historic log-and-stone Evergreen Golf Course Clubhouse is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a delightful meal, in our atmosphere of rustic elegance. We feature fresh fish daily, Certified Angus Beef, along with natural, organic and gluten free meals, all beautifully prepared by award winning Executive Chef Kevin O'Brien. Chef O'Brien selects the freshest ingredients and prepares them in a simple, straight forward style that allows the full flavor of each dish to stand out.   • "Excellent value prime rib on Saturday night. It is $20.14 (the year) for salad, steak, fabulous potatoes, and dessert. A real value for the locals. I went by myself and sat at the bar. The staff is always friendly and the evening view over the golf course is stunning. Their wine selection is also good and their South African choices superb."

The food is very good, especially the Osso Bucco. The owner is incredibly friendly & accommodating. I recommend making reservations as most tables inside were tagged for parties that had yet to arrive. It was a very busy Friday night...inside, outside and on the upper patio."

  • "Always love stopping by Keys on the Green but continue to be less than impressed by the service. Booked reservations via their website which uses Open Table ... requested outdoor seating and arrived to learn that they were unaware of that request and we're going to put us inside on a beautiful night. After a 30min wait for a table in the bar where we could never get served, we were finally taken outside to a table. From that point, the service was OK but it was clear that they were horribly short staffed. Apparently one of the servers had an illness or something but why the owner wouldn't jump in and help out or find someone to take care of these guests is beyond understandable."

I don't think she liked kids for one, and she was so unbelievably rude, I am not sure I have ever had a worse experience dining out, and we dine our three days per week."

  • "Brian decided to order the seafood marinara after the server explained that the salmon could be left out--something which we she seemed to sympathize ("I hate salmon too"). The dish came 30 minutes later with salmon in it and without the garlic toast. Brian put the salmon on my plate and received 3 shrimp and his garlic toast 10 minutes later. My halibut was underwhelming in every respect. I have brought patrons and performers from the Central City Opera to this restaurant in past seasons, but will no longer recommend it."

  • "With most entrees hovering around $30, and sub-par crab cakes at $7.00 for one cake (mostly breading) I was hoping to at least get hot coffee with our desert. Everyone's coffee at the table was barely warm, even before adding cream, and nobody every came back around to offer coffee refills. Keys seemed to have better service and prices when I was there last year."

  • "This is a favorite of mine, I live up the road so it's not only convenient but close to home. I love supporting the locals in Evergreen and do so whenever possible. When I went last, it was very crowded and it seemed like I didn't receive the attention I usually do, but that happens and I will certainly return as I have had both good food and service in the past. Maybe a good idea to hire more wait staff?"

  • "The food was excellent, but they were very understaffed. Craig at the door forgot us 2x even thought we had a reservation. It was 34 min between our salad and entree. They ran out of bread at 7:30 pm. E were celebrating my birthday...noted on reservation, yet got placed at a bar high top and not even 1 wish. They need to staff a hostess, a food runner and more wait staff. It will be a long while before we return. "

The current owners really get what Evergreen needs. A reliable go to spot that has a variety of price points. Sometimes you want a high end quality steak, other times you need a quick "I don't want to cook meal". Scenery, decor and location are superb. Wait staff (Talia) was delightful. Management is on top of it. Go, and go often."

Her birthday fell on Ash Wednesday so we needed a restaurant that served dinner early as we had church service at 6:30, well Keys does open early for dinner, which is great! We were greeted promptly and had our choice of tables. They offered their normal menu plus a 3-course menu for $30 pp, which was very nice. Service was great and food was quite good. Make sure to try the Tempura Asparagus!"

  • "We have eaten at this restaurant before and really enjoyed the experience so we chose to go again. This time, we could not have been more disappointed. The waitress took 15 minutes before she came by to take out drink order. She dropped off the drinks and then disappeared for another 20 minutes before she came back to take our order. She forgot to bring out our appitizer that we ordered and we had to tell her to just cancel it when she brought our meal. Our meal didn't arrive until an hour and 15 minutes after we were seated. We ordered the Walleye and the Osso Bucco. The Walleye was very dry and over cooked. The Osso Bucco was very tough and dry. Doubt we will go back anytime soon."

  • "Having lived in Evergreen for 11 years, I have never had good experiences at Keys on the Green. The service was usually horrible which took away from anything else. Management at Keys on the Green could care less about customers, it used to be a terrible experience. I'm happy to report, having gone to try the 5280 menu, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Craig, the new "owner", came to our table and asked us how things were, multiple times. He also took time to spend a few minutes to get to know us... wow, what a change. The service was amazing, I'm thinking due to the new owners and the food was fantastic. For all those who were previously scarred by the old Keys on the Green, I suggest giving it another try!"

  • "This was valentine's day and the staff made every effort to accommodate us on a very demanding nite. Service was good and the food was generally good. I should not have ordered the lobster tails as they were tough and not very tasty, but then I'm from New England and have high expectations for lobster. Everything else was great however. We will return in the summer and try again."
