Definitely a cozy place to eat with closely placed small tables. But, that could be considered part of the charm. The food was excellent, from the bacon wrapped prawns, to the Caesar salad, to the ravioli and trout. One of our favorite places in town!

I think we just may have had a fluke experience. The place had really great reviews, even for groups, but for our circumstances we should have maybe booked elsewhere that had a little bit more of a private table and different atmosphere. 8 of us gals came here all dressed up for dinner before we went out for my sister’s bachelorette party. The vibe is chill and low-key so we felt a bit judged and overdressed for the atmosphere. I mean we were wearing cocktail dresses and it was 40 degrees outside, so I get it. But besides that, I’ve never before had to send anything back in my entire life. I drank about half of my water before I realized at the bottom there were two gnats in my glass, along with that fuzzy, whitish film; like when a dishwasher isn’t cleaning your dishes properly anymore. So I asked if anyone else had any issues with their glasses and unfortunately 2 other gals also had bugs at the bottom of their cups. I understand things happen or sit on a shelf or something or an ice machine gets left open and it’s really no big deal. But the part that didn’t sit right with me was there was no apology of any kind. It was an awkward, “Oops, we’ll get you new glasses” and that was it. I just don’t expect that from the service industry, I’d be mortified if I served dirty glasses to my house guests! So just from the moment we walked in, it seemed like we were a nuisance for celebrating an event there and I felt like we were kind of treated that way through the bug incident and dinner. I’m sure this place has way higher standards than that, I just wanted to share that for our type of event, we had kind of a weird experience.

Toms fish was very over cooked. The salads were kind of witty. I appreciated the kitchen finding spinach to put with my lamb instead of the potatoes.

Lady at the front desk seemed irritated that we showed up for dinner. Not friendly at all. We had to ask someone to find our waitress so we could order dinner. Waitress wasn't friendly at all. The place was cramped, crowded and noisy. Food was mediocre. Prices were high. Will not be going back.

Celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary. My husband is in a wheelchair. We were placed in a small room within arms length of another table of ten very loud and very celebratory middle aged people. We couldn’t decide if they were drunk or not. The noise was so intrusive that I got a headache. In retrospect, I wish I had gotten up and wheeled my husband out of the restaurant before we ordered. It was our last night in the Sun Valley area after a week celebrating our 35th. We had honeymooned in Sun Valley and had been in the area many times over the years, spending many spring breaks there with our two sons. The other three Restaurants we may have chosen over Ketchum Grill were all booked for the night. The manager should have asked the group to quiet down, even a couple decibels would have helped. When I asked for our check in order to get out ASAP, I had to shout at the top of my lungs to ask for it. There was not one person in the entire very small restaurant that heard me shout! As we were leaving, several of the wait staff, hostess etc. looked very embarrassed but no one except our waiter offered any condolence for the distasteful circumstance. Who ever the group was, their freedom to ruin our dining experience far outweighed our desire for our own celebration. My husband had a stroke 23 months ago and because of circumstances beyond our control and the four hour delay of getting to a hospital, he miraculously survived, but his right side is affected and he can not speak. For us to venture out at all takes so much determination and we’re both trying so hard to adjust to our world being turned upside down. We were both in tears when we left the restaurant. It was a horrible experience and a night we would like to forget. The lamb was gamey but everything else was delicious. ~PHIL & CONNIE EASTMAN~
