  • "Food was just average but the waiter we had was very good. He was timely, attentive and professional. As for the food I had a strip sirloin that was cooked properly, medium rare, but was not a superior grade, it had to much fat and was at best average. My wife enjoyed her lemon pepper sword fish. "

  • "We ate here 3 times recently after not doing so in years. I can't say any of the meals were very good. Not even the steaks. Service not very good either. Disappointing. We don 't plan to go back. "

  • "The food was excellent, stuffed mushrooms were the best I've ever had. The service was fantastic, Dominique, our waitress, was fantastic, extremely professional, friendly and right there when we needed her but in the background when we didn't. She should be commended for her work. This was a wonderful experience. "

  • "I have been to Ken's a few times. This restaurant has a classic, old school feel and I like it. I love the onion bread and that a salad comes with every entree. The food is great as well and I will be returning."

  • "on my birthday, we went to the theater, and then on to ken's. i was greatly disappointed. first, the waiter put his hands on the edges of our drinking glasses, while pouring our water. (our mouths touch this area). he denied this. very unfortunate. i requested a different waiter ,who was terrific. the food was a disappointment. our baked stuffed shrimp were not done enough. the shrimp were crunchy. the salad was tiny, and limp. lettuce ,tom, onion only. no cuke, olive, etc. we will not return. cheryl bird"

  • "We had a wonderful experience at Ken's Steakhouse. The food was excellent, and our steaks were both cooked to perfection! Our server was fantastic too!"

  • "Meat was generally good. Seafood items not so much. Great if you have a Groupon!"

  • "Had the surf and turf special for a little over 30 dollars. Very little meat on the lobster: mostly a bland stuffing. The steak was good, but the 6 oz. portion seemed smaller than that. The salad was really good, but it would have been nice if the lettuce was green instead of iceberg: Ken's excellent salad dressing made up for it, though. Drinks were a "good pour" which is always important. Could have had a better steak and for less at Outback. Dessert was spectacular."

  • "Chateaubriand is awesome. Steak tips good too. Live piano music was outstanding."

  • "Ken's is a venerable standard. There is a good variety of options on the menu, and the appetizers are all excellent. The lamb chops were tasty, but not the best I've ever had. The staff was lovely, and very attentive. All in all, especially with the Groupon, it's a good value. Without the Groupon, the $26 lamb chops is a bit steep."

  • "Everyone at the table ordered steaks and was very well pleased! The only problem? Our steaks were cold because we took so long to eat them, generous portions! Good portions, good prices and a great ambience. Great if you are feeling fancy and/or hungry."

  • "Service was exceptional. Food was excellent. Everyone in my party (including 4 teens) enjoyed the evening. The piano music was beautiful although a "tad" too loud. All in all, a really nice birthday celebration at Ken's."

  • "We have been to Ken's before. We were enticed to come in with the recent renovations. Our server kept forgetting us and it took 15 minutes to be informed that they were out of Sangria. Also took 5 minutes to get steak sauce while the steak got cold. The steaks were not tender. We won't be back."

  • "Hadn't been for years, but a Groupon lured me back, and I'll return. Old-style place, but food prep still very good; everything cooked to exact order and served plenty hot. Our waitress was very nice but needed a lot of reminders for things that had been asked for. I think she was new or overwhelmed; it was a Sat. night and the place packed. The front end, whether on telephone or in person, was neither intelligent nor alert. "Whatever" as they might say. Bottom line: good meal, and good rapport quality/price. Solid choice."

  • "The food and atmosphere were great. The waiter was either not organized or he had to many tables. BUT he was a great waiter when he was able to get to our table."

  • "We ordered the prime rib, which was amazing, and the house sirloin, which was very overcooked. I actually had to send it back. The waiter was very responsive to this issue, and handled it promptly and courteously. The replacement item was terrific. LOVED the salads! To top it off, the piano man was fantastic! Very old school!"

  • "There aren't many restaurants around that my parents went to back in the day but Kens has with stood the hands of time and continues to serve old and new generations of food lovers."

  • "Ken's steakhouse is comparable to steaks you would receive at the "old school" Ponderosa steak house. The steak was over cooked and under seasoned, the salad was so doused in dressing that it was inedible, the side dish was missing components. Way over priced for the quality you receive."

  • "Five of us went to Ken's to celebrate my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and the good service continued from there. Four of us ordered beef ( chateaubriand, tenderloin tournedos, sirloin), and all were lean and cooked perfectly as ordered. Servings were large enough that several had leftovers to take home. Our other dining companion had scrod, which she enjoyed. Entrees included salad and 2 side dishes (I had a baked potato and delicious baked butternut squash). Dinners also came with homemade hard rolls, sweet cornbread, and onion rolls. When the waitress heard that we were staying in a motel, she insisted on wrapping up extra rolls, butter, and plastic utensils to carry out with our leftovers."

  • "We used a Groupon but even with a Groupon I would not return. Food and service was not bad but also no great experience - and that's what we are looking for."

  • "Dinner was excellent - server was very helpful, and even brought out a slice of cake with a candle, when we mentioned it was my husbands birthday. Atmosphere - although the restaurant was quite busy, it wasn't too loud, as many places are when they are crowded. - we are already planning to go back in a few weeks with friends - Simply wonderful!!!!"

  • "Had a Groupon that was more than adequate to cover appetizers and entrees for the four of us. Our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. We had seafood stuffed mushrooms and French onion soup as appetizers and they were delicious. My wife's salmon entree was a bit bland and somewhat disappointing. I chose the queen size cut of prime rib and it was just ok. The meals come with a delicious basket of bread, salads (house or Caesar) and a potato and vegetable. I asked for butternut squash and the portion was very small being served in a tiny aluminum bowl, alongside my baked potato. Don't understand why a full serving of vegetables is not included. Our friends were pleased with their chicken and chateaubriand entrees."

  • "Hadn't been to this local landmark for over 35 years. Decided to give it a try after reading and hearing some good reviews. Had an excellent meal, sirloin strip wife had prime rib and others had shrimp and pasta dish and smaller sirloin. All were done perfectly and portions were ample. Sides were perfect not just an afterthought and service was excellent! Piano player played during dinner in a nice background non intrusive sort of way. We will definetly return!"

  • "Cost: 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, 2 wines - $104.43 Calamari – The menu says, “Served with marinara sauce” for $9.95. . A bowl of over-breaded fried calamari with tomatoes and peppers…and no marinara sauce- dry, doughy, “flavorless”. Caesar - a bowl of wilted, chopped romaine tossed with “Ken’s Caesar” dressing and 3 anchovies thrown on top. P-Gal - 12 oz. Prime Rib (Menu-$23.00, chg-$25.95) I had Filet Mignon (Menu $28.95, chg-$29.95) The Prime Rib was very chewy and flavor was just o.k. My 10 oz. filet was small., and had the texture of a sirloin. It was served dry. Carrots and squash were overcooked and way over-sugared. For being THE Ken’s Steakhouse, they are riding on their past reputation and have grown lazy and mediocre."

  • "Our immediate family are not big steak people, but with loved ones who are... You need to try all places to find a great Sunday afternoon celebration place. This was it. Lobster ravioli, escargot, pork chops.... All were good. The house salad was iceberg- old school. Not my taste, but whatever.... Check it out for a family affair."

  • "This restaurant has a lot of historical charm. Although I prefer an updated atmosphere, there is something about the old world feeling that makes this a special place. The dining areas extend into a seemingly unending labyrinth of rooms, each with their own decor and layout. Great entrees, pretty good sides and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend this location."

  • "Girl friend had raved about this place, figured I would take her there for her birthday. Reservation made with no problem. got to restaurant and was not greeted by hostess, just was sat by waitress.waited 10 minutes for her return to take drink order. upon her return she took drink and appetizer order. Appetizers came and then the drinks. Apps not that good, missing flavor- was told they were out of peppers which were a main ingredient in the appetizer. The steaks came- prime rib of FAT and Blue filet Mignon, ordered MEDIUM not RAW. Hello FOOD SAFETY. Waitress apologized and took filet off the bill after she spoke to manager who NEVER came to table and upon leaving was not even told have a goodnight from all standing at hostess station."

  • "Everything was just ok. Nothing terrible, nothing stood out. It was very busy and very noisy. We used a groupon so that might account for it. Prices are very reasonable and the meals include salad, starch and vegetable. My meal came with the wrong starch and vegetable. It was corrected quickly."

  • "Took my husband out for a nice dinner on Valentine's Day. Ken's was just right for us. You could tell the restaurant has been around for a while. There was a nice range of patrons, from young couples to seniors, enjoying really good steak and sides. The seafood-stuffed mushrooms are incredible, don't skip those! And the onion soup gratinee was really good, too. AND it's not as expensive as some of those high-end steakhouses in Boston. So it was worth the trip from Worcester to Framingham. Classy place."
