Kennedy Manor Dining Room & BarGreat Retro DiscoveryThis restaurant is located on the lowest floor of Kennedy Manor, a classic apartment building with beautiful architecture. The restaurant decor is in keeping with the architecture--very classic and retro.
The food was excellent, and most of the menu is gluten free. As someone the must eat a gluten-free diet, it's such a relief to have many choices and a confident waitress to assure me that my food selections were gluten free.
I had the eggplant polenta, and my dinner mates at the roast pork tenderloin, and the smoked salmon. All of us enjoyed our food. We also ordered the three seasonal drinks: a cosmopolitan, a sparkling wine and Chambord drink, and a bourbon Manhattan. All were quite good.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacular restaurantI highly recommend Kennedy Manor Dining Room. We tried the salmon with dill and the pork tenderloin, both of which were spectacular. I highly recommend the creme brûlée and chocolate cake as well. The staff are friendly and attentive. We had a late dinner, and at least at that point in the evening, the restaurant was very quiet and cozy, and I loved the 1930s feel! We will definitely be returning.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe don't go out that oftenWe don't go out that often and stay away from the chains. We were there years ago for a dinner play and loved the food and wanted to go back so we did on Saturday. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent and our waitress very sweet and accommodating. Hope not to wait years to go back again.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe owners were very welcomingThe owners were very welcoming and we enjoyed our first visit tremendously. We will definitely return.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst course(tomato leek soupFirst course(tomato leek soup and spinach salad), entrees (steak and salmon), bread were all excellent.
Two desserts were average at best. Cheesecake was very dense and had a gummy texture. Cheesecake portion size was very generous. Chocolate cake was very good, but accompanying chocolate sauce/syrup was not very good.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMQuiet, out of the way, walkQuiet, out of the way, walk back in time. My wife and I enjoy the change from our regular dining spots.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll return for more!A quiet, intimate dining space with a cozy piano bar. Owners were friendly and personable. The spinach salad was a meal in itself, with smoked bacon bits, a cooked egg and homemade dressing. We had pork tenderloin with a currant sauce that was scrumptious. Don't forget dessert. The chocolate pudding cake was heavenly. Oh, loved the French bread served with real butter. It was a wonderful dining experience. Kennedy Manor is a place for a special occasion dinner or a reasonably priced, tasty meal anytime. My husband and I will return again and again.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
