  • "Also a favorite! We try to get there every few weeks even though its 40 minutes away! Love the food!"

  • "My husband and I came in for lunch on his birthday. Our waitress was very attentive and got us everything we needed. It was one of the best birthday lunches I have had in a long time! Thank you for an excellent experience. Side note-our waitress even put sparklers on our Peanut Butter Bomb dessert! What a special touch! Thank you!"

  • "Only complaint is the price, other than that the food was terrific! Reductions and sauces were delicious on the steaks and fish. KS wine was nice with the meal."

  • "Experience was awesome, loved the rustic atmosphere and can't wait to come back"

  • "My husband and I don't, get out that much without kids, but really enjoyed this date night at Ken Stewart's lodge. The food was fabulous and plenty to choose from. The waitress was attentive, but not bothersome and the ambiance with quiet, yet busy and very well lit for a romantic night out. Will enjoy again for special occasions."

  • "We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is perfect for intimate meals. The service was excellent and the server very attentive. We enjoyed the crab stuffed portobello appetizer. The scallops were well prepared. Chilean sea bass was a bit overdone so the texture was tough and rubbery, though the rice, sauce and Brussels sprouts were excellent."

  • "We have attended the Lodge many times. The food and service is always solid. This time, though, we had a waitress who was a rookie. She did not tell us all of the specials. This was apparent when (after we had ordered) we overheard the other wait staff rattle off specials to other customers not told to us. Our silverware was never replaced. I was down to one fork at the end of the meal. This review pertains to our visit on March 15, 2014."

  • "Service was very good. Baked potato was mushy. Rest of the food was good and prepared to our satisfaction. The food was VERY overpriced and I could not recommend the resturant"

  • "Service a little slower than usual, but overall still an excellent experience. First time for my business associate and she is planning to come back."

  • "We have been hitting this restaurant a lot lately even though we live 45 min away! Crazy as it seems we are addicted to their cheeseburgers! Honestly bet I've ever had in my life! The truffle fries are to die for! Great cocktails and the peanut butter bomb for dessert is the best!"

  • "excellent service and outstading food. Server was excellent and attentive!"

  • "The atmosphere at The Lodge is always impressive. On this particular evening, the service was extremely slow. This was not the server's fault; the server came back to our table twice to "check in" with us and explain the delay in receiving dinners. We sat down a bit before seven o'clock and our dinners arrived at nine o'clock. This was not because of getting lots of apps ( only one for one guest). The explanation was that a large party's orders had gone in just before ours. This was not a problem in that we were not in a hurry but we were hungry by the time our dinners arrived. A visit to The Lodge is usually for a special occasion in that the meals are a bit pricey. All in all, a nice evening."

  • "I requested a table by the fire place and we were literally placed at the fire place, which was great when the temperature outside was in the single digits. It had been a couple years since we were here last and not much has changed which was good from an atmosphere and food perspective. The only problem is that I do not need to spend nearly $200 for a meal for 2 people and only 3 drinks. We started with the Tuna Tartar which was very nice. I went with the special of surf and turf which is 3 (3 oz) filets and a little crab, single scallop or 2 shrimp on top. My wife went with the chicken piccata which included spinach. We each added a salad and shared an order of au gratin potatoes. I finished with tiramisu and a cappuccino."

  • "My wife and I went there for our date night. The server was very nice and knew the menu and specials in impressive detail. I ordered the Lamb special for $52 but was disappointed when the cut was covered with Gorgonzola cheese and heavily charred. The two resulting flavors completely eclipsed the flavor of the lamb. The chef recognized this and sent out a couple new chops that were not burned nor covered with cheese. So we would probably go back but there are so many good restaurants in that price range that Ken Stewarts won't be our first choice but perhaps when we're in the area."

  • "Delicious food, excellent service, a very special occasion was made even better at Ken Stewart's Lodge. The atmosphere rustic yet professional and for us: romantic from the amazing House Cabernet to the finest dining selections with abundant portions and everything cooked to perfection. There were others dining there but we had such a wonderful time and were so well cared for that we felt as if we were the only ones there. An amazing evening, and hope to return their soon-thank you and God bless."

  • "We had a great New Years Eve dinner at this cosy cabin. Beautiful surroundings, a nice booth, great food, and good service. I would definitely go back."

  • "I received a gift certificate to Ken Stewart's as a retirement gift. We waited for the holidays when our grown children would be home and took the full family. We went to the Lodge and enjoyed the evening a lot. The restaurant was rustic, working fireplace and low noise level so it was very easy to converse among our entire group. The appetizers of calamari and fried pickles were great and we all tried different dishes and they were wonderful and plentiful."

  • "Crab cake appetizer was outstanding (as always). Service was excellent. Did not earn 5 stars this time as filet was cooked medium well (closer to well) and not medium as ordered. Will continue to visit as this is a favorite of ours."

  • "Disappointed with service and food quality and appalled at what it cost. Often dine in upscale restaurants but can say we never dealt with such long wait times nor the lack of attention from a server. Extremely overpriced and food was sub-par. Steaks were overly charred on the outside (and I like a good char on my steak!). Seafood was cold and portion for $47 was small. Ordered 3 sides which were not rcvd with our meals. Server so rushed to serve table of 20+ behind us that we were half done with our meals before we could catch him to ask for our sides. Sides arrived horrible: potatoes/asparagus cold, spinach so overcooked it was hard. Didn't return because we were nearly done eating so we left them. Will never return!"

  • "CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER WAS VERY SPECIAL. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND FOOD. EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH IT."

  • "The atmosphere was wonderful. This was a great place for a special meal and celebration. The specials list is incredible and they are very willing to create a combination or something unique. We were there over the holiday and it was busy so service was a little slow but we were definitely not rushed. I look forward to going again."

  • "décor reflected in the name. food is really good. you wont be disappointed. prices are a little high for the area and food offered."

  • "The food was good but very overpriced. I had better salmon at The Burntwood Tavern for half the price. The restaurant is capitalizing on being the only place in the area for fine dining and is ringing the register as a reault. It shows to much."
    Dined on 11/12/2013
  • "We had an emergency office meeting. The food was great, the service just right--attentive but not intrusive for the meeting--and it was quiet."

  • "We went to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was a perfect place to go. The food and service was outstanding. It was quite and romantic and we loved the lodge feeling."

  • "We went with friends that had dined here before. The atmosphere was wonderful, decor unusual for the area, but lovely. The only drawback is the price of some of the entrees. I had a Delmonico steak with horseradish crust. It was just ok. Nothing to write home about, especially for $55.00. The appetizers were great! We had truffle french fries, fried pickles and shrimp. Go for the ambience and eat appetizers!"

  • "You expect certain things when you dine at a high end establishment - excellence in all areas - and they missed by a little. Cornmeal Perch was outstanding, just what you'd expect. The lobster bisque was just OK. Would not order it again. Not horrible but I've had better for less money. Sales was good and would order again. Service was as expected and ambiance is great."

  • "This was the first time my husband and I have been to Ken Stewarts. We were surprised by the selection of item on the menu as well as the extensive amount of items that were specials that night. Would return anytime. The food, wine and atmosphere were amazing."
    Dined on 10/19/2013
  • "Pretty average entrees considering the price. The Roast Duck was too greasy. The Chilian bass not very good. Appetizers and soup was very good. Service was excellent."

  • "Received a gift certificate from some friends. Took the wife and twins (11 boys), actually took them kicking and screaming. Given a table next to the dining room fireplace (nice). Was warmly greeted by our server Desiree (amazing). Great menu and they will craft the individual items with or without any item or add your own item (really!!! how creative). The food was amazing. We started with calamari (WOW) and fried pickles (actually a shocker, very good). We then went to main course, Delmonico Steak (melt in your mouth and could cut it with a spoon) and probably the best hamburger (tasted like a real hamburger) every. Then topped it off with Peanut Butter Bomber and the Fried Angel Food Cake. The kids actually cried. AWESOME ! !"

  • "Ken Stewart's food is excellent, but one of the things that always sets them apart is their service. The servers are always a pleasure to interact with, and you end up doing so because the place has a great number of specials that the servers memorize and verbally relate to you. The worst part of the specials is that they all sound so amazing, it's really tough to choose. Wine list is excellent, and the bar stocks high-end liquor (including some nice well-aged Scotches, which to my surprise not a lot of higher end establishments actually do). We enjoyed the petit filet trio - three 3-oz filets, each done differently. YUM. And the crab-encrusted salmon, done in lemon beurre blanc - also delicious."
