Ken Stewart's Lodgegreat meal...beware of the towerFour of us had 1/2 of a duck, halibut, prime rib and ahi tuna. all very good. Tuna was two large pieces, not the small amount of sliced pieces you normally see. Son did not like horseradish sauce on Prime Rib so they brought out 3 other sauces that he loved. The Seafood Tower was a mistake. $90! I would rather have ordered four interesting appetizers for $60 instead. We were a party of 8 but the service was slow. Took 15 minutes just to ask our drink order. Then it was 30 minutes in between apps & main meal. Everyone really loved their meals. Mine however was not good-tomatoe basil tilapia. I get tilapia prettying everywhere I go and this was the not good at all. Their servers spend a long time getting to know their menu and are prepared to share their knowledge with you. The decor is dark, cozy and delightfully different from most fine dining. The outside dining is like a summer party and you get to experience some beautiful Ohio skies and be warmed by a fire if it's chilly while having some of Ohio's best cuisine. (I should note that I mistakenly made the reservation for the *next* night; when I got to the restaurant they handled it with finesse, and quickly found us a table that night!)
What can I say about the food other than it was fantastic as always. When you go to KSL, the menu is just a starting point. You really have to wait and hear the specials, and 'WOW', what a list of specials that night. The beef two ways (beef carpaccio and beef bone marrow) was AMAZING. The kids enjoyed the truffle fries, plain penne pasta, and crab legs! For dessert we had the S'mores, which we cook right at the table. Fun!
