  • "We were warmly welcomed and the service was excellent."

  • "Always had great lunches went for a birthday dinner a little more pricy than I thought it would be side dishes were ok, fish dishes were fantastic sea bass and scallops. Go for lunch anytime and have the burger!"

  • "It was our first visit to Ken Stewart's. Our server was very informative, attentive, and friendly. The food was good, but my husband and I both felt it was overpriced. He got a steak and I ordered the chicken. We both had a salad and potatoes. We shared creme brulee for dessert. We did not have drinks; I ordered ice tea and he had a beer. Our total with tip was a little over $150.00."

  • "There are so many great restaurants in our area to try we rarely visit the same restaurant twice. Our meal was exquisite and our service was even better. We will be back! The front of the house service was the best we have experienced. Our server was the knidest, caring person I have ever encountered in a restaurant."

  • "If you are looking for a spot to celebrate a special time Ken Stewart's Grille is the destination. Kay, our waitress, welcomed us to the grille and did make the evening special. Ken Stewart's has special items such as the Akron chowder. Traditional items like filets and scallops are prepared with care seasoned to please most. The cocktails are prepared according to your wishes. The chocolate chip bread pudding was just the tip of the desert offerings. All was noteworthy."

  • "My wife and I made a pact to go out once a month and leave the kids at home, so we're trying all the area restaurants. KSG was a great place -- good atmosphere, the table felt private, and the service was great. There are a lot of options on the menu, and although it's expensive, dinner was fabulous. It's great for a special occasion."

  • "I took my wife to Ken Stewart's Grille for her birthday. We had been there before. The atmosphere was great, the noise was low, the food and service were excellent. It is definitely pricey (I ordered one of the specials without realizing it was $66.95), but it's definitely worth the experience. We will return."

  • "Service was excellent..way too many specials that are recited to the customer. My sea bass with pumpkin seed crust and spaghetti squash in a sage butter was excellent. Trio of beef very good. Truffled fries...parmesaned but could not see or taste any truffles. Oysters very cold but not very plump at all. House salad was perfect."

  • "We had a very nice, timely and quiet dinner. I requested a quiet table as my partner is legally deaf and it's often hard for us to communicate in a noisy restaurant. We were given a quiet table. My only complaint is that the table was so small we could hardly move. Every plate had to be removed so the next on would fit on, meaning the server had to come to the table often."

  • "We went for Valentines Day Couldn't have been better. Our server was outstanding!"

  • "Ken Stewart's has been known as the best restaurant in Akron for yeas. Even with the upscale steak franchises that have moved in (Hyde Park and Fleming's), KS's still gets the nod -- especially since it is a local restaurant. Great menu and lots of specials. It is expensive, though!"

  • "All my husband and I wanted to do to top off the evening on Valentine's Day was to have dessert and a night cap somewhere. Luckily, I remembered I had a gift certificate and made reservations for just that. I made reservations online and found it very easy. I liked that you gave a choice of sitting in the main dining area or the lounge. We chose the lounge for this occasion and really enjoyed ourselves. Also, I'd like to mention that your desserts were delicious and I give you kudos for giving "healthy" portions, for a lack of a better word, than just a "sliver" as we have received at other restaurants. And to top off the evening, our server was sweet & charming. It was a wonderful way to end our evening. We will return. Thank you."

  • "My wife and I took my father and our son to Ken Stewart's Grille for Valentine's Day dinner to celebrate both Valentine's Day and my father's birthday. Ken Stewart's Grille (like other establishments operated by Ken Stewart) is considered a bit pricey, I believe that you truly get what you pay for in most cases. The food ranges from very good two excellent and the portion size is fair. If you order your salads à la cart, they tend to be a bit disproportionate to the rest of your meal (too large). Our meals were excellent. As with any fine dining experience one should not expect to eat and run. This is dining not eating out; expect to be at your table for at least two to three hours. Enjoy the experience"

  • "This restraunt had excellent food but was way overpriced. I understand they had probably the best steak I ever had but $45 for a 16 oz steak is rediculiously high. If that doesn't seem high $11 for fries in truffle oil and Parmesan chease might. This place is a great place and if you don't mind spending $150-$200 with tip it is a great place. I do understand why rich people don't tip though. With prices that high tips should be built into the price"

  • "Enjoyed my first dinning experience with a business guest on a Thursday night. Enjoyed the tempura rock shrimp & pork belly in lettuce wraps - PLENTY to share. The house and pear salad were both great which lead up to the main courses. The restaurant had wonderful dinner specials but I settled on the red snapper. A wonderful dish with clams and muscles. My guest had the scallops which was equally brilliant. Needless to say if you had room, you can grab desert. I did and enjoyed the chocolate gateau. Look - the wait staff is wonderful and Natalie made the night as she was fun, timely and new everything by heart - the list of specials offered are as long as your arm so enjoy the presentation and your dining experience at Ken Stewart's Grill."

  • "This was our first time dining at Ken Stewart's and it was an experience we will never forget. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so naturally we wanted to dine at a fine restaurant. We were impressed from the moment we walked in to the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. We had impeccable service by our waiter, John. The food was wonderful. We can't wait to go back....In fact we are going back this weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day! This will always be our favorite spot for many years to come!!!"

  • "An absolute top notch place to dine. Only issue is that the prices are near imsane. Unless you have a Rediculous amount of disposable income, don't eat here. U of won't get out at less than $200 if you are having cocktails and apps. If you can afford it...go! Great food and service."

  • "Overall an excellent experience with a moderate size group of customers for a business dinner. Drink, wine, and food selection and quality was excellent. Service was attentive but not overdone. Cost appropriate for this level of service and food."

  • "My husband and I wanted to celebrate 2 of our children's birthdays in a special way. We had been to the restaurant 2 years ago. I wasn't sure if it would still be as good as we remembered. it was everything we remembered. Our food was excellent, appetizers were wonderful, and enough to share. Our dinners were brought out hot and looked magnificent. Our son ordered 2 bottles of wine, superb!! . Our server was very friendly and extremely helpful in our selections. It was a little pricey, but well worth every bit of it. We live about 1 hour away, but will definably make the trip more often. I would highly recommend the restaurant."

  • "Ken Stewart's Grille is known for its great food and impeccable service and my experience there was no exception. The steaks and seafood are especially good. I tried the special of three petite filet mignons, each presented in a different sauce: one peppercorn; one cabernet and one bleu cheese. Delicious! My companion enjoyed an excellent Ahi tuna and we shared a great appetizer of steamed mussels in a delicious white wine broth. The mussels and bread alone would make an excellent meal! For a special treat, Ken Stewart's does not disappoint! Great dining and exceptional and friendly service."

  • "We couldn't think of a better place to celebrate a milestone birthday and New Years Eve dinner than Ken Stewart's Grille. Everyone from the parking lot people trying to park everyone on this snowy night. We were seated promptly at 7:00pm and in a booth as requested. Christopher was our server`. He was very efficient as well as informed on the menu for that evening. Everything went well from cocktails to desert. At the end of the evening, my wife was presented with a complimentary bottle of wine from the hostess to celebrate her birthday. The whole evening was a perfect success, the best evening ever spent at Ken Stewart's from the many dinners enjoyed their in the past 10+ years of living in West Akron. The seafood was great. Thank you."

  • "Like most places this gentleman runs they do a solid job on every level. That being said it is one of the most expensive places to eat within 500 miles. The food is flavorful and large in portion but straight forward. Delicious but never exciting. People are not paying for that. Wine list is very good and there are some fairly priced bottles in addition to the standard Cristal and Dom (2003 uck horrible!) too if your OG. I will be back."

  • "I brought my 3 adult children from college for lunch. The waitress seemed like she was too busy and she even seemed bothered by the fact that I needed to ask for her to recite two of the specials again (there was about six). I don't think there was enough staff, our table did not get cleaned for a while and we felt forgotten. I was disappointed and will not return for that expense."

  • "My college roommate and I arrived for our 12:30 p.m. lunch and got to talking...By the time we left at 2:30 p.m. we were the only ones left in the dining room, staffers were talking from one end of the room to the other, and the lights were turned down. Now, I know we were there talking for awhile, but don't you think someone could have come by and said we are going to prep for dinner so it might get noisy. Or ask if we would like to continue in the bar while the dining room was set up. We got the hint and left."

  • "Made reservations for a nice romantic Christmas Eve dinner, but was seated across from the bar. Music was so loud it was difficult to hear each other, tv's had basketball games on. The tables were so close together you couldn't move your chair without bumping into the person behind you. Food was good but should have went to a sports bar and grille with the same atmosphere and could have saved a lot of $$"

  • "The menu offerings provide a great variety of several different foods that I'm sure will please any diner. Everything was cooked perfectly & the service was excellent. Great experience for our annual holiday outing:). Be sure to save room for dessert...the gingerbread bread pudding & creme brûlée were superb!"

  • "The food was very good and well presented. Your establishment, for us, is for the most part out of our price range for eating out. However, we had been given gift certificates by friends that enabled us to enjoy a meal at your restaurant. We were waited on by a waitress in training and she did an excellent job. Thank you for a very nice evening."

  • "Service was top notch. The Chilean Sea Bass over stringed squash was encrusted with grounded pumpkin seeds was outstanding. Salad was excellent. It had cranberries (just the right amount) w/ blue cheese crumbles topped with a light dusting of white French. Starters included stuffed pepper (3 out of 5), calamari (4 out of 5) and baked brie (5 out of 5). Cocktails ordered were vodka martini up with blue cheese stuffed olives. I asked for 3 olives received 2. I always judge an excellent vodka straight martini by the chill consistency and quality of olives, both were average. My wife had a white cake martini which was outstanding (5 out of 5). Dessert was less than desirable. Crème brulee was runny and cold. Overall very good. I will be back."

  • "We had not been to Ken Stewart's Grille for several years. If anything, it has gotten even better in the interim. Wait service was beyond terrific (thanks Megan) and the food selection in the verbal specials menu was wide and appealing. Great service is a culture there, not just an effort. My wife dropped her fork and the wait person greeting a large table next to us picked it up, replaced it with one from an empty table and didn't miss a beat of his greeting to the other guests - all within a few seconds. The food was excellent, arrived at just the right time, and the ongoing attentiveness during the meal was not overbearing - just the right amount of stopping by to inquire. We have rediscovered a place we have always enjoyed."
