Early dinner in the bar with the scallops special and dinner menu choice Ahi Tuna. White French dressing on the not so ordinary house salad is included and outstanding. Lindsey took care of us and was wonderful. Two drinks and a side dish will put you over the century mark, but this is Akron's finest dining experience and not some chain restaurant. Enjoy yourself ... and celebrate.

My wife ordered lobster tails ( her favorite and that's why we were referred to Ken Stewarts ). She took one bite and had to spit it out. The staff was compliant in getting her something else, but the lobster is why we came. I ordered a steak and for the price I thought is was filet mignon. I came to realize it was a filet but not worth the $47 price. The $170 I spent ( including tip ) Saturday night was not worth it and we will not be dining there again. I know that Ken Stewarts has a fantastic reputation as one of the best restaurants in Akron but, quite frankly, I do not see why.

We sat outside on the lovely patio...right next to a table that was SMOKING. Joy. I thought that wasn't allowed in Akron anymore?? Had the baked Brie (delicious)....would've had the special watermelon salad, however, our server didn't tell us about any of the salad specials (we overheard her tell the table behind us about them)...we had informed our server we needed to be out the door by 6:50, in order to see a movie (we sat for dinner at 5:30)--she said no problem...and we finally got our dinner at 6:35. We slammed down each of our $45 dinners in 15 minutes. Both plates were over salted, so much so, that my mother moved her sea bass to a side plate to eat it plain. Wasted $155. Got a $25 cert.for complaining. Gee, thanks.

We were very disappointed in this restaurant. My wife had Chilean sea bass. The portion was about 4 inches square and 1 inch thick for $45.00. It was set atop some type of pasta that was drenched in soy sauce and very salty. My porkchop was very good. Augratin potatoes and my creamed spinach were very salty. The wine was good, our waitress was very good. We didn't finish our salads before the entrees were placed on the table. The table was in an excellent quiet place and very private. Music was fine until they started to turn up the volume and then was annoying. For $136.00 plus tip, the food was nothing to really be remarkable and highly overpriced.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. It was packed with a lot of golfers and golf fans because it was the weekend of the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone CC. It was loud and I was surprised at the lack of a formal dress code. Several people were there in shorts and a few even continued to wear their hats! This is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. The food was good (but not great) and the service was better than average, but I would go somewhere else for a really "romantic" dining experience.

House salad and the pear and fig salad were cold crisp and fresh...entrees followed and were outstanding...I got the 1 lb crab stuffed lobster tail and my date enjoyed the featured blackened swordfish. Service was seamless...great night! Thank you....we enjoyed the cocktails prepared for us as well...

My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night at 5PM. Dining room was empty except for 2 other couples. Our waitress was fantastic. Just the right amount of service without being pushy. We both got the filet at $45 each. Steak was cooked perfectly with a side of onion straws. Dessert was a type of chocolate cake which seemed to have way too much flour. It was the only disappointing part of the meal. Decore seems to be out of the 70's with many disturbing looking paintings hanging on the walls and in the booths. While we enjoyed ourselves we both agreed that this place is not worth the price and that we would not choose to come here again.

Another Akron Gem ... Ken Stewart's is the finest dining establishment in the area. Always great, but this time our server was so annoying we were ready to move to another table. You don't want to feel rushed when paying the minimum of a Benjamin to have a nice romantic dinner. But we couldn't even take a sip of our drink order before hearing the specials. We both had the Thai Seafood Stir-Fry which was amazing and a house salad with their signature White French dressing that was big enough to split. Too full for dessert, but the bread pudding is also a KSG classic. We will make sure we don't have the same server next time we come back, which is too bad that this affected the rating.

The food here is fabulous, the best tasting I've had. This would be a great place for foodies. We split a Cesar Salad and it was plenty. We also split the scalloped potatoes and couldn't finish them all, even though they were wonderful. The Chilean Sea Bass was very good as was the three filet's each prepared differently. I've had $150 meals where I thought "I can't wait to go back" so I'm fine spending the money on a great meal, but this was not worth it. The steak (with no side) was $46. I was expecting something amazing, but ended up with a quality cut of meat that was very bland. $9 to add a baked potato? Come on. We sat outside and the chairs looked and felt like cheap Walmart lawn chairs. At $46 for a steak, buy some better furniture! While we ate outside, an employee stood nearby smoking and drinking while playing with his ipad and listening to music. Not cool. Overall, the food was decent and the restaurant wasn't bad, but if I'm going to pay that much money, I'll find a better place next time.
