It was our anniversary and the waitress took our picture and composed a hand drawn card for us. That was a first! We went midweek during the off season. I suspect that weekends during the summer could be very busy. But in Durango that will probably be the case for most of the restaurants. Based on others' reviews, I'd made reservations at Ken & Sue's well in advance.
The decor is understated elegance, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly.
We ordered the "Grilled Tuna Steak, Wasabi Smashers, Crispy Wonton, Toasted Sesame-Tomato Coulis," and the "Caribbean Jerk Chicken Breast, Basmati Rice, Black Bean-Corn Salsa, Habanero-Mango Butter Sauce." Both were VERY good, although the tuna was significantly undercooked. When I brought that to our server's attention, she deducted the price for the entree from our bill.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ken & Sue's to anyone looking for fine dining in Durango.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best in DurangoVery much on-par with Mahogany Grill; The service was constant and well-timed, the food was outstanding, and best of all the price was truly amazing! It makes me wonder how Seasons is still in business when Ken and Sues does everything better. I adore the entire menu and the wine list is perfectly robust and well-arranged.
