Diner Reviews
  • "I love Keg & Kitchen. It's such a great alternative to heading over the bridge for a great meal. It's a top notch eatery right in Westmont. Really good beer list (if they have it, this is my only complaint, sometimes they only actually have half the great beer list) with excellent food. This is a great happy hour spot. I love to go and get lots of small plates to share with friends. The hummus is some of the best I have ever had."

  • "The place rarely disappoints. I can't get over the variety of awesome beers on tap. And the food, well it is always almost top notch. Nice ambiance within also."

  • "I was looking for a place for a quick dinner before a show at the Scottish Rite Auditorium and a couple beers to wash down the work week. Keg and Kitchen did the trick. The beer list, though not as expansive as some other places, provided more than adequate coverage for me and two dining partners. The food was the real star. Mushroom flatbread fragrant with truffle oil, and a salmon burger with Asian slaw were great. The fries were fantastic. Dessert was the doughnut trio, another hit. Matt provided excellent service, providing beer samples for an undecided quaffer. The only drawback is limited parking, but a kitchen staffer on break out back kindly helped us guide our ride into a tight spot. We are looking forward to a return visit."

  • "We frequent Keg & Kitchen for it great food, fun atmosphere and options to fit every budget. We brought our friends who were visiting out of town and they loved it as much as we do. I always recommend trying a a draft special which is always changing, as well as a cheese & meet plate for the table as a starter."

  • "This spot is loud when busy. Ok for 2 people to talk, but hard to have a conversation with more in your party. As always, great beer selection, and the menu offers a nice variety from small plates to full entrees. One of two appetizers we ordered never came, and wait staff didn't notice my empty water glass for 20 minutes until I could find someone to ask for more. Overall, service wasn't very attentive, but we did enjoy the food that we actually received."

  • "We love Keg & Kitchen. Such a great craft beer list and the ambiance is great . Their service is always fast and our orders are always correct. The only reason I deducted a star for the food this time was that my salmon burger was spicier than I thought it would be (and I think spicier than advertised on the menu), so I couldn't finish it. My boyfriend's pulled pork sandwich was perfect and delicious."

  • "Chose this place last minute after getting a good review from a co worker. Made my reservation for 830 and was promptly seated. Ambience was great. Open, rustic, and warm. Didn't have the best seat, I would have preferred a booth or a high top. Beer selection featured my favorite drinks, the menu had many of my favorite meals. Had the fish and chips but also tried the short rib sandwich. Both great. The service was a little slow. I think they didn't know which server was supposed to cover our table. And a 10 o'clock the DJ set up and it was a bit hard to hold a conversation. Overall I'm looking forward to eating/drinking there again over some of the other similar restaurants in the area."

  • "Stop cranking up the music so loud! This place is not a club. When your restaurant is only 30-40% full and it's impossible to talk to someone without screaming in their ear...it's too loud. I saw a band on Saturday night and it wasn't as loud as in here. That said, sitting in the side room it is much quieter and the fireplace was nice and warming. The food was great as always. I had the fried chicken for the first time...so good. The service was mediocre...I had to ask for a fork three times and the waitress was pretty unattentive. Usually the service (hostess and server) is much better."

  • "Well I guess it had to happen. With a new Ex Chef, items will change and my all time fave item did - fish tacos. Sure they are still good, but no where like before. Frankly I am disappointed. The beers are still good. My wife enjoyed the flatbread. But even the wings were rubbery and overdone. Not sure if we will go back many more times with results like this. Why do good restaurants cut back on menu items, when they would be better served by raising the prices 50 cents or 1.00?"

  • "had the short rib sandwich and carrot soup for $10 lunch. both very good. only downside was fries did not seem fresh and were very soggy"

  • "Try the fish tacos.....All the food is great. Something for everyone, but always interesting; not your basic bar food. Can't wait to go back:)"

  • "Went here for the first time with a group of 6. They put us at the large communal table in the center of the room. The restaurant was full and very loud. While we all enjoyed the food a lot we had trouble hearing one another so it was hard to hold a conversation. Definitely will go back again but request not to be sat in that spot."

  • "We were there at 1:30 on a Sunday and the main room of the restaurant was LOUD. Lucky for us, we were seated in the room with the fireplace, so conversation was fine. Sunday menu was a brunch/light lunch menu, so the offerings seemed quite limited if you did not want breakfast. We shared a plate of the pulled pork nachos which were outstanding. The pork was tender and sweet which pared wonderfully with the homemade salsa. One in our party ordered a ruben. Waitress came back and informed us they were out of pastrami. With a very limited brunch/lunch menu it would be a good idea to have all the ingredients of the offerings. Average burgers, good fries. Great white cranberry martini. Nice beer selections."

  • "Met a friend for drinks and dinner, food was reasonably priced, service was spot-on and drink selection was expansive without being overwhelming. Nice specials as well."

  • "The food was very good but service was slow-so slow that we were seated for 10 minutes before we put in a drink order, we were not encouraged to have appetizers or dessert. After we ate the dinner, we sat for 10 minutes without any offer for dessert or coffee. Our bill was low because we didn't have anything but the meal-It's nice to have all the extras."

  • "This was the second time my wife and I have eaten at Keg and Kitchen. The food is very good and they have a great beermenu. My only complaint is that it can get a little loud if your looking to have a conversation without yelling."

  • "This is a fun bar/dinner place. The food is very tasty and prepared well, but is a little on the heavier side. There is a decent variety of items for a smaller menu. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal and appetizers. They have an extensive beer menu. I was a little disappointed that they were already sold out of one of their drink specials at 6:45, but I enjoyed the cocktail that I ordered. The service was good and our waiter was attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "It's casual but classy. The menu and beer selections are great. Just wish there were a few more wine selections, and the espresso martini wasn't good- need a new recipe. Service is always great."

  • "A friend of mine and I went to lunch and ordered a house salad, mushroom soup, hamburger and a short rib sandwich. The soup and salad were fine. In fact, the soup was excellent. The short rib sandwich was so salty that I was amazed that the juices didn't crystalize right on the plate. The burger was mundane. The drink menu offered a nice selection of beers but the wine prices were ambitious for Westmont, NJ. Like the title of this review says, "There's better out there.""

  • "The appetizers were very small and not that good. The server was nowhere to be found most of the time and we have to ask the hostess several times to get her for us. I had the fish and chips and they were just ok... the place was very loud. We were 5 of us and all of us agree we will not be back."
