  • "Ambience was comfortable and interesting. Kumomoto oysters were amazing. Caesar salad was standard, but not special. Cotton candy bacon was mind blowing and a must. Creamed corn side dish was outstanding and one of my favorite parts of yhe meal. French fries were amazing because of the unexpected ketchup with Vietnamese sombol (?sp) sauce added. Waygu New York strip was mind blowing . The only weakness I could find was what I consider to be a very weak wine list."

  • "Everything I ordered was superb! Must start with the Bacon Appetizer. Just like Cotton Candy, it melts in your mouth. The only problem I had with my Filet- I ordered a 6oz. Next time I will go with 10oz. Definitely splurge on the Wagyu (Japanese Cow). You won't regret it. Best steak in Nashville!"

When I booked the reservation I noted it was her birthday and as soon as we walked in the staff was very nice and wished her happy birthday. The entire night was absolutely great. The waiter was nice and knowledgable of the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "I made reservations for my husbands birthday. I made a little note stating it was his birthday with his name. We were seated where I requested. The first thing the server said was Happy birthday to my husband addressing him by his name. ( I was very impressed). Drinks, appetizers, dinner and desert were outstanding. Tristan was our server. He was a delight and very knowledgeable about the area. We like early reservations so the staff does not have that many tables yet and we can converse with the staff. We do enjoy this. Everything was perfect. I would highly recommend."

Our server (Joel) was outstanding, the food was delicious, and even a little fire alarm incident didn't come close to ruining our night. The Filet Wagyu was the WAY TO GO. This place is honestly one of the best restaurants I've been to!"

  • "Some of the best food I have ever tasted. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was very informative about all the food and was helpful when trying to decide what to get. The prices are a little expensive but it's understand with how well cooked and prepared all of the food was. We were treated exceptionally well by all of the employees. We had a great experience and would definitely visit there again."

  • "Easy walk from Frist or Union Station. Was fairly busy for a Wednesday night, but even so we only had to wait about 10 min or so past our reservation time. Service was great. Food was fantastic. Excellent steak! Lots of truffle options! My only worthy complaint is lack of beer selection. Definitely need to up their offerings in this area. Could use a few more dessert options as well. They do have good wine list though and some interesting and tasty cocktails."

It came already opened down the middle with three unique butter options. The sides of black kale salad and Brussels sprouts were delicious. It was delightful."

  • "My husband and I came her for our anniversary dinner. I've been wanting to try this place since they opened but waited until we had a reason to spend more than we normally would on a dinner. This place surpassed all my expectations and then some. By far the best dining experience I've ever had in this city. The service, impeccable, thanks to Brian. All the food was amazing: bacon, wagyu filet, regular filet, the corn brulee (way better than I could have imagined), potato gratin, very cheesy and flavorful and ended with warm banana bread. Can't wait to go back and experience more!"

  • "The signature bacon w/ cotton candy is a saturated fat heart attack on a plate. Almost entirely fat with no lean. The Caesar salad was excellent. The signature filet was seasoned with way too much salt. My wife's chicken was good as long as she didn't use the sauce which fortunately was served on the side. Wines very expensive. Desserts nothing to write home about. The highlight of the evening was superb service staff, but that wouldn't bring me back to eat anything I had again or anything I saw on the menu. Not in the same league as Morton's or even Ruth's Chris."

  • "We have nothing to complain about from beginning to end. I made reservations through OpenTable with a note saying we would be dining here after my engagement proposal and it was not forgotten. Upon arrive the hostesses congratulated us, the server, even the GM came by the table to greet us and congratulate us. The bacon / cotton candy appetizer was great, we both had the Wagyu Beef filet mignons, she always orders well done meat, which makes me cringe when it comes to a steak like this, but I was extremely surprised at how it reserved the tenderness and flavor. The side dishes were exceptional. Overall, our server Guy was personable and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back each time we get a chance to visit Nashville."

There were a few fruit flies in the restaurant which was a little unfortunate, but when there was a question of one landing on my uncle's plate, Joshua very quickly took action and got us a new one. The concierge at the hotel corrected our English and George, the amazing former NBA basketball coach turned golf cart driver, blugrassbband connesseur and ambassador for the city of Nashville helped us find the hidden 12th street, which for those of you new to town is not exactly between 11th and 13th. There we met a bevy of beautiful and brazen hostesses and JR our waiter whose company candor and camaraderie was the highlight of our night. The food was spectacle but overshadowed by the ambience, the service and the fact that we were in the amazing Music City! Five stars!"

The first time was a year ago on our honeymoon and we loved it so much we came back again and it's the first place we made reservations for. I highly recommend the house made bacon with maple cotton candy and the risotto tots. I don't think you can go wrong with any steak but I've had both the wagyu strip and wagyu filet and they were melt in your mouth tender and perfectly cooked. My husband had the progression of strip both times and loved it."

  • "Nice ambiance, terrible terrible service at the bar and table. Soba noodle veggie entree deplorable. Filet ordered as recommended but overcooked. . Side dishes were very good. The place has lots of hype and lovely vibe, but will never receive my business again. Others have raved about it so they must get it right sometimes but we were all thoroughly disappointed."

  • "Make sure you ask fro bread at first so you can get some with your salad. Even though their bread isn't the best. Steaks are good, but I like Bob's steaks the best. All the sides items are really good here. That's where other steak places fall down. But they really should just give you bread with salads."

  • "We have been at Kayne Prime many times but lately the staff seems to have little interest in details. Drink orders were extremely slow and for no apparent reason, they were no busier than usual. Cleanliness has also slipped, one of the non-alcoholic beverage glasses was visibly dirty, the server who filled the glass obviously never even looked at it. If he had he would have immediately discarded the glass for a clean one. When we dine at Kayne Prime we expect superior food quality and at least above average service. The food was still good but the rest of the experience was very disappointing. It was obvious the servers realized they were doing a poor job because they brought popovers "on the house", presumably as an apology."
