"Katsuya was outstanding beyond expectations! The kobe steak with foie gras was a piece of heaven! The grilled lobster was almost as good. The service was impeccable and faster than any decent restaurants I have seen. The location (the old Hush) remains pleasant, especially on the outside deck.Congratulations Katsuya!"

"We've been to this location of Katsuya several times. Our last visit was definitely the worst. There was a group of 10 - 12 people at a large table in the center of the restaurant who were extremely boisterous--drumming on the table, throwing things, and generally just causing a scene. EVERYONE in the restaurant was glaring at them and they clearly just didn't care. I was dining with my husband at a small table for two and we literally had to yell to be heard by each other. How romantic! :("

"From the moment I walked in the door, the service was fantastic. Jenny the manager made it a point to introduce herself and make me feel at home. The wait staff and bar tenders were just as friendly and right on top of my order, making sure I had a pleasurable dining experience. The food is fantastic and the price is reasonable."

"After an excellent Katsuya experience in LA we decided to dine at our local Laguna location. What a disappointment! The acoustics in this space are horrible making it impossible to talk to my guests, and the food was below par. Cool factor was virtually nonexistent. It felt more like a cafeteria at a community college. So sad! Doubt if I'll try this one again."

"I would recommend the food but not the atmosphere/ sitting arrangements. They stack as many tables as possible in the restaurant. The entire time we were there I was being interrupted by the other people’s conversation."
