The staff at Katana (cooks, servers, hostesses, and managers) really make this a stellar experience! From the minute you walk in and walk out, these people will make you feel like VIP :) Highly recommend the spicy tuna hanabi, sea bass skewers, any of the tuna carpaccio dishes (maguro with pesto and shiro maguro with crispy onions are delicious), also highly recommend grabbing a roll and the kitchen is very good about customizing it as needed (I always get light rice, so I can taste more fish AND eat more of course, and like to add shrimp tempura sometimes). Josh Hering is the bomb and is always my favorite server!!! :)4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBEST service ever!!Went to celebrate a friends bday dinner..EVERYONE was awesome and the manager Josh went out of his way to make us feel special. The night was indeed memorable and set the bar extremely high for other restaurants. Josh and team created warm and inviting atmosphere, ambience was perfect, service impeccable and the food was divine!! Thanks guys, I'll be sure to come back with more friends:-)

Gorgeous wait staff who are also fun and punchy. Great time overall and this is my third/fourth time there. The managers are so friendly, Eiji and Paul always make us feel so welcome. Josh is an over-the-top amazing server, and I'm sure the other servers are as well (he's my regular whenever I visit LA). I highly recommend asking your server for house favorites and suggestions. All we can say is WOW.. It is a very hip restaurant with great food. The service was warm and provided great insight into the menu.
