The service is great-our waitress was a doll! The food was very good -I had the salmon-it was very tasty. My friend got the flank steak and really enjoyed it. She mentioned that it was cooked perfectly.

They need to work on their menu some. The food is good but it has been the same menu for a long time. Some more either exciting specials or just a change of the menu items in general. Don't get me wrong, the food is very good, but I have been eating off the same menu for a couple of years. Up grade your menu please.

Unique, peaceful ambiance. Always good food here, but don't get too attached to any favorites because they keep changing the menu! We really miss the whole striped bass and the BBQ rib appetizer that they used to offer. Side dishes used to be a bit more imaginative, this last time were more run-of-the-mill. Don't believe the waitress/waiter when they say a dish is just "a little bit" spicy - My advice: if you don't like spicy, opt for something else. The steak dishes (both the flank and fillet) and the salmon are excellent.

Moved to the Round Lake area back in April of 2013 and have been driving past this restaurant for months and have wanted to try it. A friend of mine from St Charles was going to visit and wanted to go out to dinner somewhere. I immediately thought of Karma. We made reservations and the women on the phone was very friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and peaceful feeling. Our service was terrific, the wine and food were fantastic. We will be going there again soon.

Karma is a beautiful restarurant that has amazing, attentive staff. The atmosphere is most recommended for romantic dinners. The food was average; nothing to write home about. The miso soup was over the top salty and this is coming from someone who puts salt in ketchup before eating french fries. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly. The selections on the pub menu, are much better dining options. The service staff was outstanding. Kim our server was attentive, and was fast and friendly. The general manager, I don't remember his name was helpful with drink selections and very accommadating for our menu needs. Thanks for making our annivesay memorable.

When looking for an upscale romantic spot without driving into the city; options are few. This place does nicely. The decor is beautiful; with low lighting, quiet water features and nicely spaced tables with comfy chairs. The food was a mixed bag (my wife's ahi tuna with forbidden rice was amazing, my thai chili steak stir fry was just ok). Coffee was great, cheesecake was decent. We had a "split" of champagne for $9 that was very good for the money. The service was great; friendly, helpful and prompt without any pretense or making us feel rushed. Bottom line, you can get everything Karma offers and probably better food if you drive to Chicago, but for close to home, this is a really nice night out. Enjoy!

There were only two tables occupied at noon in the whole restaurant and we had the worst service. Appetizers were brought without serving pieces. Took 10 minutes to flag the waitress down to get spoons. One dish was missing chicken and when we mentioned it to the waitress, she defensively said "that's not my fault, it's the kitchen who messed up". She never returned to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. This was a very disappointing visit as I've had dinner here before and had outstanding food and service. I was embarrassed as I was entertaining clients and had raved about this restaurant.

The food was not good at all and completely overpriced. Our bill was $165 for four people and unfortunately the only thing that I enjoyed was the appetizer of lettuce wraps. The food in general was very sweet. The server was very pushy on appetizers and desserts, but this may have to do with the fact that it was a Saturday night and in the time that we were there 6pm-8:30pm, there was only a total of 4 tables the entire time. The atmosphere was beautiful, but the food was simply not good.

This place has a very cool vibe with modern zen decor but food was underwhelming. We ordered appetizers for a light dinner. They were good but I was hoping for something exceptional. I really enjoyed the spiced chips. The molten chocolate cake we had for dessert was not even as good as the frozen ones I would buy at the store and the whipping cream tasted artificial. The waitress forgot one dish that we ordered so we just went without.

We don't go often, but we are never disappointed in the fine menu and food. The food is nicely prepared full of flavor. The Japanese/Asian setting is very unique. We rarely see Karma crowded, probably due to its unusual location inside a hotel, but Karma is quite a nice and special restaurant. My advice... TRY IT! You wont be disappointed. Love the Ginger-tini!

Unique Asian restaurant with a slightly different menu than your standard Asian fare. The flank steak I had was marinated with cilantro and served with green beans and red pepper. Very flavorful and plenty to eat. Pot stickers were excellent with a slightly spicy sauce and the chicken fried rice was very good. The interior of the restaurant is very modern, clean and beautiful. Although it is part of a hotel Karma does not have the feel of a hotel restaurant.

I have dined here a couple of times with girl friends several years ago. We visited both bar area and restaurant, and we liked both. This time, we dined at the restaurant side. To be honest, food tasted much better than what I imprinted to myself in memory. We had spinach salad, fried calamari (too much batter), five spice noodle and ahi tuna salad. All were decent taste. One downside is the lack of attentiveness. Serving wine was extremely slow. I had almost finished my salad before the second wine was served. It took us longer than we like to get the check. Ambiance is exotic, and we liked it. We would probably go back again, but we would like to see improvement in more attentive service.

My husband and I went there on V’s Day. It was embarrassment since we invited another couple to join us. Service was awful. Our waitress forgot to take my husband’s order and then she disappeared. We had to ask other helpers to find her. After she took additional order we didn’t see her again until she brought check 2 hours later. We ordered from Special menu which looked appealing. We had Lobster Bisque $10 which we sent back – pure salt. Entree Seafood Ravioli was a bit strange. If I have to pay $28 for pasta dish it had better be great. It tasted like store bought cheese ravioli with two tiny scallops on top and was garnished with quartered RAW bok choy. Really? Not sautéed, not blanched, just raw.No chance that I will ever go there again
