We ate at KPC four times that week.
On the fourth visit we were seated by the manager who tried to sit us at a table in the corner when there were at least 8 open tables in front with a great view of the ocean and sunset, when we requested to sit at one of those tables she informed us that those were for ELITE reservations and cost $25.00 per person. If we wanted to sit there it would cost us $50.00! When we asked to speak to her boss about this fee one of the front tables opened up and we were allowed to sit up front at no extra cost.

Resort prices for good but not great food. However I will rave about the banana tapioca, the best thing we ate at dinner. Mahi Mahi with mango salsa was good but no better than any other place I've had it on the island. Drinks are expensive and barely have any alcohol, as if you're drinking a non-alcoholic drink so I kept it to one. We ate here about 7 years ago and food was better then so for the price you're paying for the service level and the location. 1 salad, two meals,1 beer, 1 martini,1 shared dessert, $160 for 2.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you want one of the oceanfrontIf you want one of the oceanfront tables for 2 in the front, you can guarantee seating with $50 per couple, which also gets you an appetizer and glass of champagne. It's well worth it. The food is delicious, but the view is the main reason you need to eat at kpc. The service was a bit off. We had to wait several minutes before we could place a drink order, and entree was served the minute we finished our appetizer and before we had finished our cocktails or ordered wine for dinner. But Moonfish special was delicious, and we were allowed to linger after dessert as we savored our wine.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect DiningWe where very happy to sit even inside (we had planed outside, but it was raining) and the Service, Food where exzellent.
Most important was the low noiselevell, so we could talk to each other and not shout!! The Hawaiian Music in the background was just right. As we had a friend with hearing problems, he liked it so much, that he felt never disturbed, Roys, Sam Choys, Merimen are too noisy - and I cannot unterstand why these Restaurants are visited. In Germany the majority of Restaurants are so much quieter and invest more in the architectual design of the rooms. Your restaurant is a perfect place to visit and enjoy the Drinks, Food and Scenic.

The only thing that didn't allow me to rate this 'excellent' overall was that it was a bit overcast with chance of rain so they weren't serving on the lanai. They did place at an open window however as close to outside as possible.
