  • "Chose Kabuki for my wife's birthday dinner as she is a big Japanese food fan. When we arrived, I informed the hostess of my Open Table reservation. I even showed her my confirming email. She was unimpressed with that and said they don't accept reservations on weekends. They would, however, still be able to accommodate the 6 of us. The only panic point for me was that I had requested some Special Occasion attention on my Open Table entry for the birthday. Now I had to try to resurrect that despite the staff's apparent lack of interest in my reservation. Once we got past that start, things improved greatly. The food was very good and Amy, our server, was really great. By the time we were finished, all was forgiven and we would gladly return."

  • "Overall an enjoyable lunch. The service was good - from the host to the waitress. The portions were a good size, and food presentation was pretty. Spicy Tuna was fresh and had good balance. The Yakibuta was delicious and benefited from the fresh Jalapeño Slices. The teriyaki sauce was a good consistency and flavor. The green tea ice cream with fresh fruit finished off the meal nicely. The choice for brown rice was appreciated. The accommodations for my food sensitivities was much appreciated. The outdoor dining has a good view for people watching.   • "Has a confirmed reservation thru Open Table on a Saturday night. Got there and they said they do not accept reservations on Friday or Saturday nights, even though I had a reservation. As a result, they would only put me on a 60-min waiting list. Problem with Kabuki's reservation system allowing reservations on nights they do not take reservations. Also, people in the front were rather rude and did not care about the problem. We left and went next door to a nice veggie place and food was very good."

The combination bento was HUGE and the ramen was great. The sushi rolls were fresh and quite big as well. The staff was super friendly and the food came out quite quickly. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Not sure if this is the fault of the just one person, or a collective error. But it starts with a simple order: one appetizer, one entree and one roll for myself (party of 1). The entree came first, a seared tuna tataki, one of their signature dishes. When I pointed out that I was also expecting an appetizer, a yaki onigiri, they left the entree on the table and two minutes later returned with the missing appetizer. So imagine my dilemma: I have two warm/hot plates and I can only devour one at it's ideal temperature. Hard to leave a good food review in this situation. Oh and the roll, it was forgotten. I decided to leave it at that and not tempt my fate with a rush order."
