Diner Reviews
  • "This place is amazing. We ordered about 8 items. One better than the next and desserts are also amazing. It's a bit cramped on the weekends but the wait is so worth it."

  • "This place is outstanding. We had the mushrooms and the scallops as an appetizer. Both were phenomenal. Then had the zen roll, spicy tuna and hawaiian rolls. Zen roll is definitely my favorite. But I can't complain about the others. Then we had the flourless cake and creme brulee for dessert. That creme brulee... good lord. Hands down one of my faves in Orlando."

  • "So nice to find a spot that serves beautifully presented, thoughtfully created, deliciously fresh and innovative sushi and sashimi. We were so impressed, we had to dine there again when we were passing through Orlando a few days after our first visit. We were not disappointed. Just as wonderful our second visit. We only wish they had a Tampa location…."

  • "even with reservations on the weekend expect to wait. Totally worth our 30 minute wait. Super creative sushi preparations. Fairly priced. If i lived downtown i would frequent this place so often that my mercury levels would go through the roof. (Joking of course duh!) In a town of mediocre sushi restaurants this place stands out."

  • "Kabooki sushi is our favorite sushi in Orlando. Always good, fresh sushi. Don't leave without trying their chocolate dessert."

  • "If you want to try fantastic sushi. This is the spot. It's a little pricey and the rolls are not that big. However, the quality more than make up for it. Go for the Biggie roll and Hawain if you like white tuna"

  • "The Mr. Mario app was Phenomenal! Also all the sushi rolls we had were awesome!"

  • "This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Orlando. My friend turned me on to Kabooki about 2 months ago and I've probably been back 6 to 7 times. It's the only restaurant I actually will order an appetizer, entrée and dessert (I'm pretty cheap haha). Love everything I have order so far and highly recommend the flaming creme brulee. Seriously try this place, it's amazing!"

  • "This place is amazing! So happy to have found such a good sushi restaurant in orlando!"

  • "Very expensive sushi. We felt the portions were small and the taste was nothing special. Our server apparently didn't believe that "the customer is always right" when we mentioned that we never received a menu item that showed up on our bill, he tried to argue that we were wrong. Accordingly, we will not be back."

  • "The entire staff and owner are extremely attentive and passionate about the restaurant, the quality of the food and the overall experience each customer. I would highly recommend Kabooki. They have a wonderful place to have a wonderful meal."

  • "Get in there and order everything! We had multiple mouthgasims..."

  • "Small restaurant with great options. Every week they have different sushi specials and I have not been disappointed yet. They have an excellent happy hour menu with multiple rolls around $4 to $5 and drink specials as well. Love their edamame with garlic and salt. The chicken satay was disappointing because it lacked any flavor."

  • "Cool neighborhood spot with the freshest and most inventive sushi in town."

  • "Fot a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy. We were seated at the bar, which was very social and entertaining. Everybody likes to sit and watch chef Henry, and his sushi chefs, and discuss what they're making, and sometimes the chefs join in. The menu is extremely creative, imaginative, and interesting. We just ordered what the waiter suggested, and specials. This is not drown your sushi roll in wasabi and pickled ginger type stuff. Everything had many components, was intricately thought out and put together. It didn't need anything beyond a little soy sauce. We're definitely planning a return trip. Our server, Hip was a good and passionate guide to the restaurant."

  • "Not much to look at from the outside but the inside is charming. Food is fresh and very very good. Chefs are great and staff is friendly. We eat here with our 15 month old and everyone is very accommodating. This is glamorous sushi in a casual setting. Not sure where to get better sushi in Orlando. Yummo."

  • "Went to Kabooki Sushi on Tuesday night, which might be our 4th or 5th visit to this restaurant. Food and service are always very good. This was the first time I made an OpenTable reservation ahead of time, and I received a phone call a few hours before to confirm the reservation, along with a follow up call the next day to inquire about our experience. Very nice! As I said to the caller, our food and overall experience was as good as ever, but I did feel that the restaurant was too cold during our meal. I brought a jacket and was still cold. The waiter said that he would change the temp, but couldn't because other diners blocked his reach of the thermostat. Still, this is a wonderful little place that we're delighted to visit often."

  • "We went to Kabooki to celebrate a birthday. We had a great time there, enjoying the food as well as the company. I would definitely recommend coming early and taking advantage of the happy hour specials. They were delicious! The place small and can get pretty crowded, but it was not annoying. The noise level was just right for us but might have been a bit loud if you wanted a romantic setting. The staff were pleasant, very helpful and made us feel special."

  • "The chef does such a great job creating food with unique combinations and flavors. Everything was delicious and not like any sushi we had ever had. The server was super knowledgable and had great recommendations. I highly reccommend this spot, but make a reservation since the location has limited seating & fills up quickly."

  • "This was our first time visiting the restaurant and overall had a great experience. Our reservation was for 9 people and was at 8:45. We were not sat until 9:40, although the owner was VERY apologetic. We were all given free wine and appetizers. This is apparently an issue, as several others who were regulars say they overbook and usually have a long wait even when a reservation was made. Our group was very understanding, and the food was worth the wait for sure. We all had a great time and would go back."

  • "This place has some of the best sushi I've ever had! The only downside is that you are CRAMPED in that place unless you are lucky enough to get a booth. I wouldn't recommend it for large parties as it just isn't a very big restaurant and, in my opinion, you are going to feel squished wherever you sit. However, for a great bite to eat for a table of 4 or less, I'd highly recommend it!"

  • "Kabooki is the best sushi in Orlando, and quite possibly beyond that. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious!"

  • "We love the staff and the food was amazing. Affordable and we're never disappointed when we are here. Refined and inventive food and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu."

  • "I enjoyed my experience overall. The dessert was especially out of this world. It was romantic yet could have been louder only because the tables are very close together. I like an intimate atmosphere but had to get used to sitting very close to the couple next to us. I didn't mind it much though, very city like. I like the decor. The service was incredibly friendly and quick. It's a bit pricy but I will come back for sure!"

  • "We spent Valentine's Day dinner at Kabooki; our table was ready within a few minutes of arriving, the waiter was great and the food spectacular. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu"

  • "We have dined at Nobu's in Aspen and Vail often and Chef Henry reaches the same level of quality and creativity with outstanding textures and flavors using only the best ingredients. What a treat to find such a restaurant in Central Florida! This young chef has passion and vision, which will put him at the top of his game. The servers work as a team, each willing to share their knowledge and love of the items on the menu. The restaurant is small, so we would strongly suggest making reservations. Well worth the drive from anywhere in Central Florida! Chef Henry and your team, thank you for a wonderful experience!"

  • "My wife and I are truly addicted to sushi and we have to visit our favorite sushi restaurant twice a week. Before finding Kabooki, we used to frequent another local sushi restaurant which we thought was the best in town. We very hesitantly decided to try Kabooki and we're glad we did. This is definitely our new sushi home!"

  • "The outside is not much to see. The inside however is very chic and modern looking with booth, table, and bar seating. We started with a cold tasting of the crudo, and it was to die for very light and delicious the flavor were so good I never once dipped my fish in soy sauce. Then we tried their garlic and kimchi edamame it was very yummy and not too spicy. We ordered two rolls, I had the special that night it was a tuna with tempura asparagus and an assortment of fish and mango on top. Loved this very flavorful again not reaching for the soy sauce. We also had the ghost roll that was fantastic as well but my favorite of the night was the crudo! Try this place it's fun and unique but make a reservation it can be hard to get into."

  • "If your palate thirsts for complex flavors, this is the place for you. Trust the chef and your server to create a meal you will long remember. Your dining euphoria will overcome the fact that the restaurant is in a nondescript strip mall."

  • "We loved Kabooki Sushi! The sushi was top notch. Presentation was modern! The sauces matched to sashimi was fabulous flavors! My other favorites were Cobia Hamachi Kama , Garlic and pepper edamame, Booki Booki, Smoking Double T, and Hawaii X.O. nee"

  • "It's been a while since my husband and I could say that we loved absolutely everything we ordered at a restaurant. There's usually at least one dish that we'll say was "just okay" or "not bad." All of the items we ordered at Kabooki were awesome. We started with the tsunami sailboat app (per our server's recommendation)and the pork belly app, which were both wonderful. The pork app was rich and the portion size was perfect for the two of us to share. We then shared the Lava roll and American Lover roll - the American Lover was my favorite, but both were delicious! I am not a big dessert person, however the bread pudding and creme brulee desserts that we tried were phenomenal. Outstanding food and service - We will definitely be back!"

  • "In a nondescript strip shopping center. Inside is the surprisingly nice space with a menu that is simply wonderful! We've eaten here5 times now and have loved each. Not inexpensive, we save it for special times. Reservations are now necessary as the word is spreading. Foodies should head here!"
