From the duck to the pork tenderloin to the fabulous filet. I typically do not order the filet but it was exceptional and I would order again. If the pimento cheese is on the menu I highly recommend you order it. I immediately felt comfortable walking into the restaurant due to the very attentive staff. We were seated at a nice two-top in a low (but not too low) lit back area. The menu was filled with locally sourced fare that all looked very appetizing. We both decided to go with the Restaurant Prix Fixe menu. The pork belly app and marinated pork entree with grits was truly a noteworthy experience. The robust wine list has something for everyone. The service is attentive and helpful! The hostess was friendly. She allowed us to sit at the table and wait, when half of our party arrived late. It is so much more pleasant to wait sitting comfortably with a glass of wine!
The food was outstanding. The menu is small. locally sourced and changes frequently.
I started with the squash blossoms-which is not something you see very often!
The salad with watermelon was delicious and refreshing. I have had green salads with lots of ingredients, but never with watermelon! Loved it!
The pasta was good. My husband said his elk was tasty but cold-he didn't want to send it back during a celebratory dinner.

What a shame, we would have eaten there more then once! First of all, we got the wrong address from the yellow pages and ended up at the old location. We finally figured it out with the help of the hostess on the phone but ended up half an hour late. They held our reservation and were very gracious. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and of course, the food was wonderful. The duck was especially good as was the yummy bread pudding! Whenever we travel, we seek out places like this--where the chef uses local ingredients in a farm-to-table mindset. We were NOT disappointed! This restaurant was excellent. We arrived a bit early for our table (actually before the restaurant opened for dinner) but the server greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating. We ordered three appetizers to share and they were all fantastic. We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. The entrees were also wonderful and the peach cheesecake was the perfect finish.
