A word from Juvia
Juvia is a 10,000 square foot indoor/ outdoor restaurant and lounge on the penthouse level of the parking garage by Herzog & de Meuron at 1111 Lincoln Road. Owned and operated by Jonas and Alexandra Millan of Bonito St. Barth, Juvia's dining room features a vertical garden, designed by internationally acclaimed botanist Patrick Blanc, which invokes the lushness of the Amazon rainforest. Chefs are: Laurent Cantineaux, a protege of Daniel Boulud, Sunny Oh, formerly of Nobu South Beach, and pastry Chef Gregory Gourreau, who has worked with Alain Ducasse and Francois Payard. The trio serves a harmonious blend of the regional cuisines of Asia, the vibrant flavors of South America and classic French techniques in the form of ceviches, tiraditos, fresh seafood and prime meats.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Very expensive for the quality, the views can only be appreciated if your table is outside."

  • "If the 3 things that matter in real estate are location, location and location, the 3 things of a restaurant should be food, food, and food. With that criterion, Juvia fails the test. Everything is overpriced so we assumed we were paying partially for ambience. However, the food was not good. Also, greasy"

  • "Like all the hype in Miami with the opening of new restaurants and their short lived staying power, waited until the dust settled to try Juvia. Super happy it's continued to impress and grow as a great spot for dining with commendable service. Great variety on the menu, good drinks and a solid desert menu."

  • "it's a great restaurant but just a bit overpriced for what it was, more of a special occasion kinda place."

  • "Every thing we had was outstanding and surpassed only by the specatcular view of Miami Beach at sunset! It was worth every penny and thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant scene and delicious and unique choices on the diverse menu. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town."

  • "Made reservation to arrive at 2:45 on a Saturday. First thing Im welcomed with is: order now as the kitchen will close in 15 mins. How come this is not notified over the phone? Then ordered our food and drinks and we had more than 4 different servers coming to our table, and at that point we didn't even know who our assigned server was. Then we had to remind 2 different people about our drinks, and got them after we ate :( Asked for a paper napkin....never got it. On a positive note, everything we ordered was superb. Ceviche, chicken bento box....deelish"

  • "Ate at Juvia with a friend who had dined there previously and recommended it. All aspects were fantastic, especially the cocktails. Excellent service, and the best view of any SoBe restaurant I've dined in. Go!"

  • "I been to this restaurant a few times and the food quality had decrease tremendously. The Service its terrible, the Noise inside the restaurant its impossible to even have a romantic dinner. If you arrive late , you loose your table and they don't offer you a second choice. We were celebrating a Birthday and we were not allowed to bring balloons or the cake. We were asked to pay over $100 to cut our cake. The service was terrible, food took a while. You dine experience should included an indulge in service and accommodate your request, not make you feel this is free food. We arrive 8 minutes late and we were told we had missed the table and had to fight to get a table. This is not what your dinning experience should be."

  • "Dinner was fabulous again. I have eaten at Juvia several times as a group and just a couple. The food always tastes amazing along with great service. And, you can't beat the view."

  • "Always a winner. Wine list is expensive. Wish Juvia had some more reasonable offerings. Bot wine steward was great in helping us negotiate the large list. Food was great and views can't be beat."

  • "Juvia is a beautiful restaurant with a great view and okay food. Unfortunately, the ambience and view is ruined by the groups of people they allow to gather in the outdoor area of the restaurant. For the price of this restaurant they should understand that people are paying to get away from the crowds that are roaming around on the streets below. I was seriously shocked when they let in a group of 20 people before their tables were ready. This group, along with others, started to wander around the already seated dinners. Extremely amateur as this appears to be a common practice. I wouldn't go back except for drinks at sunset."

  • "Food is good. My tuna was good, just good. My partner's salmon was very good. Both well presented. No appetizer was offered. Price good. While the dessert order came wrong - we asked the chocolate bar and arrive the pear with cassis, people were very gentle and offer to change. But the pear was so good...that we held."

  • "Went to Miami for a week where we dined at all the best spots in town every night but this one was my favorite - in terms of food, service, ambiance was definitely a winner! A must visit for anyone visiting Miami or even locals would appreciate the beautiful design and amazing food and wine there. 10 out of 10"

  • "My husband and I just loved the atmosphere of the restaurant : great music, beautiful people, amazing food! The dishes were awesome: we had the fantastic foie gras as appetizer, the chilean seabass was terrific and the seared tuna was also great. The service was super well timed and the view is fantastic ! We plan to enjoy Juvia experience again in our next visit to Miami!"

  • "The food and wait staff was amazing, as was the view. The biggest problem was that the young lady at the front seating us was extremely rude. She made rude comments under her breathe to my girlfriend. In addition, we called on multiple occasions to request a table outside as this was a special occasion. Upon arrival, no table was reserved for us and we had to wait 45 minutes for an outside table. The reservation was made weeks ago."

  • "Great view, ambiance. Food underwhelming. Stick to drinks and appetizer/smaller plates."

  • "This is a great South Beach restaurant with beautiful views and an interesting menu selection. Definitely try the crudos as appetizers - very interesting and perfectly combined flavors. I had the tuna steak, prepared rare - it was very good!"

  • "I dined here last and had a great experience. What happened!!!! I returned this week and had a horrible experience . We could not be seated because one person from my party had not yet arrived. We were directed to the bar , ordered drinks and when my son arrived we were abruptly brought to our seats . The wine menu was placed on the table with the dinner menus. The service was so quick that our dinner order was taken before we could ask for wine. There was no time inbetween courses and the staff attempted to remove our cocktails from the table multiple times before we had finished them. Dinner for four with cocktails, 2 courses, and wine took approximately 1 hr. This was Not a fine dining experience especially that the bill was Over $500."

  • "I've been to Juvia many times, and yes, they have a wonderful view of Miami Beach, and a well designed space. But in the last couple of years that I've been going (once every few months), I've noticed the quality of food has been going down. It's been less and less interesting to eat there. Meanwhile, prices seem to be going up and up. It's a restaurant I have recommended to friends visiting in the past, but I'm sad to say, that I would now steer people to go to other great restaurants that are opening in Miami Beach instead. Sorry, Juvia! :("

  • "We had amazing time at Juvia. The food was delicious, the menu has a great selection that can please almost everybody. We found that all their staff was engaged to provide excellent service. The scenic view helps to remind you that your on vacation in sunny Miami. I read reviews that were complaining about the price. We found it was not too expensive for the entire experience that they provide."

  • "so the food was not okay. absolutely not fit for the price. The place itself though is beautiful, and has a great vibe. but I'd honestly suggest going there full and getting the buratta appetizer because that was the only good thing I ate"

  • "The food was fabulous. All selections were prepared to perfection. Juvia has a great wine list. Great energy, service and the scenic views are fabulous. A great place to take a date."
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "Been there a few times now and I have to say that Juvia is good to bring out of town guests for the view. Food is good but you can get good food all over Miami Beach. Service is technically good they take away glasses and plates too soon but doesn't have any soul. Prices are way to high for what you get and wine list is ridiculously expensive. Special Occasion at best. Yard Bird and Meat Market much better value and service. Get a cocktial in bar see view and go somewhere else for dinner"

  • "The environment is beatitful and the food is good (not magic!!!). Too noisy inside."
