Diner Reviews
  • "tuna cones were wonderful&the flavors blended perfectly, scallops were cooked well but the flavoring was terrible, calamari was tasty but cold, lobster roll was very fresh. The restaurant has potential but being behind a gas station charge that much."

  • "Don't let the location throw you off. This is old time fine dining with a contemporary flair. Wonderful food and service presented beautifully and imaginatively. Excellent food and service don't come cheap, but you get what you pay for."

  • "Service and food are both good. Neat and clean................Not a diner so the menu is not expansive.............. Excellent presentation.....................I suggest the Tandoori Chicken..................lots of food, very reasonable price."

  • "As in the past, food was outstanding. When it came to service the server was pleasant but we felt like she was eating with us. Maybe it was because it was early and they wanted something to do but someone seemed to be at the table every 5-10 min for something or asking a question. Must have been asked 3 times if we wanted another drink, even though we made it clear we did not, after the 2nd time."

  • "My husband and I frequent this restaurant a few times a month and have yet to be disappointed. We usually come at night during week and it is the perfect way to unwind. My new fave is the short rib ravioli!!"

  • "an unforgettable dining experience in a regrettably poo location."

  • "Just is JUST WONDERFUL! It IS a neighborhood "gem", and a hidden one, at that, sitting behind a GAS STATION, but the inside is absolutely elegant! The food choices are eclectic and are both beautifully cooked and presented. It continues to be our favorite restaurant!"

  • "The oyster sliders were killer. Just always has great specials and the menu changes to keep things fresh while keeping customer favorites. And save room for dessert every item is off the charts. Fried Oreos!"

  • "This restaurant always has something interesting on the menu. I had the duck and my husband had the Ahi tuna. For dessert we tried the crime brûlée s'mores. This was a new dessert for us and it was very good. The drink selections are also very interesting and not just the "usual" drinks you find at most places."

  • "The food was very tasty, service was exceptional (folding napkins when you get up), presentation was very high end and creative. Went there for our anniversary, as we are not accustomed to spending $160 for dinner for two. it was appropriate for us for a special occasion but not a frequent visit."

  • "Just is just like being in Manhattan. Service is great. Food is good. Calamari is very good."

  • "This was our second visit to Just. It was fabulous again! I had a chef's special fried oyster slider, and I loved it. Shared the special appetizer, Crab and Shrimp tater tots. They were great, served with a few crispy homemade chips. We had the Tagliatelle pasta with a cream truffle sauce with crispy wild mushrooms, and Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, which was phenomenal! We shared a dessert, the Oreo Zeppoles. Delicious. Could've eaten all of them myself! Nice drinks, too. I had a pear martini of some sort - it was killer. I forgot the other drink, but it was also good. Total bill was $110, but so worth it. So if you haven't been to Just, and you want a nice meal, check it out."

  • "My hubby and I went to Just for our anniversary. We went earlier than the regular dinner crowd so it was quite and service was excellent. The food was delicious. We both got filet mignon and they were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be going back!!"

  • "This place can be easily missed yet the menu leaves you wanting to come back. The food and service where great. The restaurant is quite pretty. They should consider having some dancing on select nights."

  • "My husband and I went to JUST for our Friday night date night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. First off, follow JUST on Instsgram because they post specials that you need a secret password to order. This weekend, the special was fried oyster sliders for $1....they were delicious! Next, the meal. We ate a few apps off the daily menu (the sliders, crab tater tots and pork belly), split an entree (lamb shank) and had a few desserts (the citrus donuts and the creme brûlée). Everything was delicious and well prepared. Their fresh baked pretzel rolls with Dijon butter and homemade hummus started us off in the right path. The drinks were yummy and accompanied the food well. In all, a great meal. The service was impeccable & welcoming!!"

  • "Finally got to Just after reading so much about it! The location is fine, the gas station is actually a great land mark. Service was impeccable. General manager came around to every table, no request was too big or small. Gluten free menu options are great for someone with a dietary issue. The homemade pretzel rolls with honey mustard butter and hummus with crackers (given to every table) are a wonderful and delicious touch that puts Just over the edge in my book. Cocktails were delish especially the cucumber mojito! Had the snapper entree, yummy! Greens salad with candied walnuts, dried cherries and bleu cheese had perfect balance. Every dish that went by looked amazing. Food presentation was fantastic. Can't wait to come back!"

  • "We had the chef specials of shrimp and crab tater tot. Which were very light and comparable to a crabcake. We also had the beef and cinnamon apple kebabs. They too were delicious however every other beef kebab was a little too rare for my liking. The star was the Chilean Seabass as an entrée which was utterly delightful!"

  • "It's unfortunate the location is so awkward. Once you get over having to drive through a gas station to get to the parking lot, the rest is history. Some of the best food I've had in a while. It's pricey, but you won't go home upset. (Read: WORTH EVERY PENNY). Great service. Excellent wine. Delicious food. I've taken my wife out for several celebrations and left happy and pleasantly full."

  • "We tried Just when it had opened, but it was still ironing out its kinks. Well, we tried it again for our 10th anniversary dinner last week and we were wowed to say the least. Our server was beyond professional, knowledgeable, helpful, charming and friendly. The food was simply superb. We had the dumplings, Foie Gras sliders (AMAZING!) Morroccan chicken & the short ribs which were oozing with flavor. The wine list was plentiful and drinks were mixed perfectly. The atmosphere is romantic and sleek, and is perfect for couples or groups. I highly suggest you try it now that it has hit its stride. We cannot wait to return for our next special occasion meal or just to indulge alone or with friends."

  • "We went out to celebrate my husband's birthday last night and the dinner and service were impeccable. The location is a bit odd, if you've never before visited (behind a Delta gas station) and the food is pricey (dinner for two, last night--and a generous tip--added up to about $195). That's why we reserve our experiences for special occasions. I expect that we will visit again in a few months."

  • "We have recently eaten at Just restaurant in Old Bridge. The restaurant is located behind a gas station, next to a convenience store, but the location is not an indication of the quality of this eatery. With many years livening in this area, the quality of the food at Just is far above any other continental restaurant in the area. We enjoyed the beet and caesar salads, the duck was outstanding, and the truffle french fries were sinful. Of course, we needed to finish this wonderful meal with something sweet, so we tried the oreo cookie zeppoles, fabulous. We are going to bring our family back to celebrate our anniversary."

  • "Just should start paying me for all the times I talk about this place! I have been four times now, and each time is better than the last. I wanted a place to eat that wasn't a "family" restaurant. JUST fits the bill. This last time we went, we took my ill mother for her birthday and they could not have been more attentive and courteous. You must go to JUST, don't wait for a celebration. Go because it's Wednesday!"

  • "Great food, great presentation. Good service, though this was the first time I actually had to remind the waiter to tell us the daily specials. But other than that, great."

  • "The food and service are ALWAYS wonderful! The pretzel rolls and flavored butter are amazing! The food is presented beautifully and is both creative and delicious! The only two negatives I would think are worth mentioning are that you must drive THROUGH a GAS STATION to get to the restaurant, and their bar is too small. I believe it only seats 8. That is a problem during their "happy hour". Nevertheless, those things would NEVER keep us away! The key to the gas station thing is that once you've accomplished LOCATING the restaurant, the gas station is your landmark!"

  • "I was aware of the the higher priced menu going into it, but the quality was meh.The food was for the most part good, but every item on the menu cost more then it was worth. The staff seemed a little confused when I ask simple questions, but they were nice and genuinely wanted to be helpful. "

  • "Went here with a friend on Sunday night. Excellent experience as always. The service, the food, and environment were all as great as the first time I remember coming here. All that while keeping the price reasonably low. I'll be coming back soon and I would highly recommend anyone to do the same. "

  • "Took my wife out to celebrate her birthday and had a great meal. More importantly, our server - Lucas was great in explaining the dishes (this was out first time here). Lucas was very friendly and very customer service focused, a key in this type of industry. Looking forward to returning very soon and bringing friends to enjoy as well!"

  • "A family member of mine shared this neighborhood gem with me. I went with my daughter and grand daughter for dinner. The selections were great and was within the price range of most restaurants for special occasions such as Mother's Day. The food was great "as is", but a dash of salt would have enhanced the flavor. There was no salt on the table and I felt I would have insulted the chef by asking for salt. I anticipated the children's menu being 1/2 the price of the adult menu, but felt that the children's menu was too expensive. At $55 per adult, each child under 5 could have eaten chicken fingers and burgers for free. Overall it was an excellent experience and I will go back to try items off the regular menu."

  • "My wife and I were enjoying a wonderful meal until dessert. The food is creative and the wine list is very well priced. The calamari appetizer was great. My wife's tuna tartare was just okay and not very plentiful. We both had filets for our entree and they were cooked perfectly. Then came the rude surprise that ruined the meal. I ordered coffee with my dessert. It was barely lukewarm and I told the waitress. She offered a fresh cup and I said I'll finish this, but to please bring me a fresh cup that is hot. When I got the bill, I was charged $8.00 for coffee. They have the nerve to charge $4 a cup with no refills, and on top of that they don't even share this policy with you. I almost had another cup before I found out.Almost $12 for coffee!Nuts!"
