  • "The resturant burned out on Friday. Maybe a suggestion on how to end that reservation so I could have made a new open table reservation for that evening. I tried everything but your web site would not allow me to choose another spot or to cancel the existing reservation. The only post that came up was to call the resturant to cancel but their phone wouldn't answer. Hope they reopen as I have been there many times"

  • "We never ate at Juno because there was a fire there the night before and it was closed. Had no idea until we showed up and the restaurant was closed Would've been nice to have had advance notice from Open Table before we showed up. In the past open table has sent messages when reservations cannot be accommodated For some reason. Glad no one was hurt in the fire. Hope to try Juno in the future when it re-opens"

  • "Congrads to Jason Chan on his fabulous restaurant. Everything was succulent and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the wasabi tobiko with quail egg - so fresh and yummy. The restaurant is lovely, the ambiance perfecct for catching up with friends, the service impecable, and the food amazing. Thanks for such a wonderful experience."

  • "I used to hedge when people asked me for my opinion on the best sushi restaurant in Chicago: "Masaki has some really interesting pieces and dishes, but it's a little over the top". "Coast is always a really great time, but it's more of a BYOB and rolls kind of place." "I've really enjoyed the quality at Mirai, but sometimes leave unsatisfied". "Arami is great, but they took a hit when that killer sushi chef left..." No longer. Juno is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Chicago. Full stop. No hedging, no qualifiers, no uncertainty. Interesting pieces, cleverly conceived dishes, and highly on-point staff on both sides of house. It's the best and I can't wait until the next time I go back."

  • "The food was maybe the best Asian I've had. We shared som e sushi and had Ramen - the perfect meal on a cold Chicago night. Service was that of a 5-star fine dining restuarant - smooth and professional. I was SO sad to hear about the fire but happy they will be open in another couple of months."

She guided us through recommendations on sake and the different sections of the menu. The spring rolls were a highlight as was the Tako Maguro maki."

  • "Hey foodies. I loved the food. I've been eating Japanese/Korean food for a long time and to my surprise I was floored. Ingredients and flavors were very clean. Uni shooter, smoked hamachi and caviche maki are the winners. Stay away from duck tongues. Stay away from ordering any drinks. You will be disappointed. The "bartender" was too busy to pay any attention to perfecting any drinks. When he tried to make it he failed every time. Please improve because we will be back for food and service. Jason yeah!"

  • "It was a truly memorable meal and a wonderful way to celebrate the day AFTER Christmas! Every course was meticulously and creatively prepared which made even the most familiar dishes new and exciting. In our party of four we each had our own choice of the favorite course. Mine was the Uni sushi, my husband's was the grilled amberjack cheek, others voted for the impressive and highest quality sashimi platter and the amazing coconut custard dessert. The service was great and the ambience cool and comfortable at the same time. The only critique is that we would have preferred the price of the Omakase meal to be one fixed price rather than per item."

  • "It was a Sunday night, not crowded but service was slow. Waitress was wearing red plaid pants that looked like pj bottoms. The oyster shooters and hamachi were excellent. Then more complex preparations were disappointing. Niches behind the sushi bar were probably decorated when restaurant opened but now look abandoned. The lighting needs work"

  • "Everything about our dinner at Juno was wonderful. Every staff person we spoke to was solicitous, friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing. The flavors were fresh and surprising, and the quality was outstanding... Each course we ate was better than the last. Don't miss the smoked hamachi, oyster shooter, ceviche maki, and ramen. We can't wait to go back."

  • "The fatty tuna and the hamachi was probably the best I've ever had. On the other hand, the waiter reeked of cigarette smoke. A real turn off when you are ordering food. He was the most pretentious waiter we have had in years!! At the end of the meal he slapped the bill on the table and said, "good bye!" Nice...NOT. The shrimp saki maki was SPICEY but not marked as such on the menu. The saki tasted watered down. If you go, stick to sushi or nigri."

  • "Walking into Juno you feel as if you've uncovered a lovely secret, and you can't wait to experience what will happen next. The ambiance is very soothing & elegant, and you are sure to be greeted by more than one person with a smile. Our server Kat assisted in each of our selections from beginning to end. My friend and I both had the Toro Tartar which was a nice amuse bouche with Miso Soup, and Green Tea. I decided on the refreshing Ceviche Signature Maki, while she ate a spicy tuna roll. Finally, I ordered the Duck Raman which had duck confit, and will now put any other raman to shame. She ate a chicken special with a parsnip puree she couldn't stop raving about! I suggest you stop reading this review, and make a reservation already!"

  • "You can actually taste the fish here instead of just wasabi mayo like most places. Very creative, delicious sushi and sauce pairings. The DYO hand wraps are amazing and also very creative. And one of the best parts is the service. Often if you find a good sushi restaurant, you have to deal with servers who are too cool for school. Not the case here. They are having fun and it shows. Very knowledgeable, conversational, professional servers. Highly recommend for sushi foodies, dates, and small groups celebrating a special occasion."

  • "The mark of a good leader is a strong following, and Juno has just that - an amazingly loyal and diverse following of sushi lovers. Exquisite, delectable, heavenly are adjectives that came out of my guest mouth Friday night as she sampled her first bites at Juno. I kept my mouth closed as I chewed and nodded in agreement. Now back to the leader. Jason Chan is at the helm making sure everyone at the restaurants is happy. His warmth is contagious and reflected in all the employees' dispositions. The service is as impeccable as the fish. Menu suggestions: Sake Yaki Maki - the almonds add a great texture, any "smoked" sashimi, and the soft shell crab unagi. The restaurant doesn't have a deep fryer, so the crab flavor really comes through."

  • "I would say the service here is awesome to say the least. Lot of ingredients and the server knew all and every thing. Had tons of food. Everything was amazing but the duck ramen with pork broth was freaking crazy good. Would go back just for that. Jason the owner was awesome. Super friendly and warm. Love him.   • "I'm working my way through the bib gourmand list. I don't eat seafood, so that knocks out most of their menu for me, but the had a good veggie roll. They waitress was at a loss when I came in and didn't even realize there was a veggie roll on the specials and never once offered substituting in a different roll (as other places such as Sushi Dokku have done for me in the past). My friend liked her roll, but it didn't stand out. The ambience is nice and they definitely had their regulars. The chocolate dessert was underwhelming."

I think there could be a few more "special" maki offerings, but all in all, we were very happy with our selections and enjoyed the extra sauces served with each. Will definitely go back.   • "I am not a big foodie nor am I adventurous about what I eat, so knowing that Juno was a little high end and different going in... I was skeptical I would really like it - let alone love it as much as I now do. The service was excellent. The presentations were artfully done and beautiful. The dishes were a very nice twist on some sushi standards, with some new offerings as well. I was hooked instantly. I do know that the owners took a tour of many parts of Asia before conceiving the menu and that influence shows. BK Park has done a fantastic job. Very highly recommended."

  • "My husband I had a wonderful, romantic dinner at the acclaimed Juno and Saturday night. The food was delish, but that was not the most remarkable part of our dining experience, as we really were blown away by the service. I think we were cared for by at least a dozen people in someway. We never had water glasses that were less than a half full and every empty plate was cleared within moments. Outside of the wonderful service and excellent food the decor and all around atmosphere was absolutely lovely. Highly, highly recommend a dining experience at Juno!"

  • "Juno Restaurant in Lincoln Park is a fusion of two places in one. Up front is an upbeat liquor bar with energy and electricity. In back is a Sushi bar and restaurant that is great for a Saturday night out or for any special occasion. We were celebrating my wife's 29th birthday...again! We loved the variety of choices not only on the food menu but the authentic Japanese beers and liquor choices were endless. Kudos to Jason Chan and his well trained staff. They know how to make their customers feel special. We're special!"

  • "We had some sashimi and a couple of outstanding maki rolls. The sushi is presented very artfully in unique dishes. There are some bites of things you can try, shooters and other little tiny creations that are not meant to be shared. There is an interesting smoked sushi. There is also ramen which we did not try. Good beer and wine choices. We will go back. Parking was easy to find. It's a beautiful room too. Next time I want to sit at the sushi bar."

  • "I recently took a client and his significant other for a business dinner and we had a great time. My client is a frequent sushi patron and was very impressed. We did one of the "Chef's Choice" options and a few other rolls and everything was outstanding. The sauce pairings with the rolls were great. If you are a cocktail drinker, I recommend their version of the Old Fashioned."

  • "Food was outstanding. You got your usuals but they are very fresh and some have a nice twist that makes it quite unique. it was a spur of the moment date night. Guest suppose to inform Juno 48 hr advance if they want to do Omakase. We came in at 930 and ask if there is a possibility that we could do omakase. The front of the house said no. But when we got siitted our server. chochi offered to let the chef decide on what we can get, basically doing omakase. Not sure if we got the same omakase menu that the people who called in advance got. But what we got was superb. Sashimi was very very good. Nigiris where very good. We liked everything except for one that we thought was a bit fishy. Not sure what it was but the rest was really good."
