Diner Reviews
  • "Made reservations and had to wait 15-20minutes for seating. The restaurant was loud and too small for seating available. The chef's choice dinner with wine was $140 for two and the entrees were bland. The wine pairing was at most fair. I won't be back."

  • "The food took a long time to get to the table, at 45 min. When it did show my wife's meal was cold. She was so Hungary she ate it anyway. She said it was still delicious. They made it up to us by not charging us for the meal. We've dined there before and thought it was great."

  • "They ran out of the scallops by 7:20, so I ordered the "duck two ways" and it was fantastic. Our friend had the brown butter trout and my husband had the filet. Both were very good, but the duck was the run away winner. We love Brussels sprouts, but these weren't as exciting as we had expected. The service was friendly and efficient and the wines we chose were very nice. The lavender bread pudding wasn't on the menu, so we skipped dessert."

  • "Fresh produce and great gluten free menu. Also nice variety of choices. Our food was warm, but very tasty. Also perhaps my scallops were undercooked, but seared well. I would next time ask them to cook them fully."

  • "I have eaten at Junipers on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent and the wait staff very knowledgeable with the menu and wine pairings. I will definitely recommend Juniper when the opportunity arises."

  • "Juniper was the perfect place for our girls night out. Leslie, out waitress, must have had a masters degree in how to wait tables. Honestly, the best wait staff I have ever had. Food was perfect and I loved all the gluten-free options. Overall a lovely experience that I can't wait to repeat!"

  • "We had great service for lunch. It was over half full. Food was just okay - may have been what we ordered. The menu selections are somewhat limited and portions are on the smaller side. They serve Farrell Family bread which is delicious. It is served warm with a special butter."

  • "Highly recommend Juniper. The menu is superb. The chef is amazing. The wait staff is friendly."

  • "Leslie made our visit very enjoyable. Menu a bit over pricey for us to go often, but we will be there for special occasions. The food and choices on the menu were superb. Thank you for a very nice evening."

  • "I took my mother to dinner here because I had read such great reviews and we couldn't have been more disappointed. We ordered our food after the bottle of wine and it arrived before our wine. The vegetables were the last thing to arrive at the table and they were cold. Our waiter never came back to check on us, until it was time to give us the check. Will not be returning."

  • "Not only was my martini late in arriving but it was very warm. Don't know if it was shaken or stirred but it was lackluster. They usually make great martinis and say that they are a martini bar but they certainly were off their game Saturday night and we were there at 6pm before the ballet and they place was not busy. I will think twice about coming here again but it will be a long time from now. There are so many other terriffic places in downtown to experience. It certainly was not worth the expense."

  • "The Sea Bass and Raspberry salad was excellent. Great restaurant before a concert at BOK. Found a rating that rated Juniper as a top restaurant in Tulsa. We agree!"

  • "The food was great and the service excellent. Our waitperson made spot-on drink and entree recommendations. Some of the portions were a tad small but the flawlessness and the flavors made up for that. All in all, a great place."

  • "We took our son and his friend to the Miley concert and went here to eat, it was our second time and it was as good as the first time!! Great specials and great menu items to choose from!! Our waitress was very nice. We will eat here again!!"

  • "We split a ceasar salad and ordered the chicken and beef stroganoff. The chicken was moist and full of flavor with a light golden crust cooked to perfection. The stroganoff had thinly sliced mushrooms that were fried, homemade noodles and an unbelievable beef. It was all such a delight. Next time we will save room for desert. It is small and intimate setting and close to all the great things going on downtown."

  • "I've eaten Brunch, Lunch and Dinner at Jumper on business trips and the food is outstanding. The Havarti Jalepeno Crusted Chicken Pot Pie is incredible as well as the roasted veggies."

  • "The food was delicious. Menu items were very creative combinations of high quality ingredients. My steak was among the best I have ever tasted, but this one was the most consistently perfectly cooked (medium rare and warm!). My husband's venison chops were very tasty -- he let me try them and warned me that if I ever tried deer again, it would not be as good as at Juniper. The chocolate plate was the perfect ending to the meal."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed a Valentine's dinner at Junipers, and it was the best restaurant meal that we've had in a very long time. The food was incredibly good--full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Our table was ready on time (I made reservations), and the waitress had great recommendations for the martini cocktails. It's a farm-to-table restaurant--they use as much local food as possible, and the freshness is evident. Each of our entrees was less than $17, but the salad and martinis were $10 each, which tends to add up when they taste so good. It's not a restaurant for kids--it's a romantic or special occasion place, and we will be back."

  • "Took an other of town guest who travels and entertains for. Living and she thought her "Ducks two Ways" was The duck dish she had ever had!!!! I love to show my guest what they are missing!"

  • "Great atmosphere and decent food. The service was excellent as well. We made reservations and were seated almost immediately even though it was quite busy at the time. The numerous options of infused liquor leaves plenty of options to experiment with. The chili was decent but nothing that stood it apart. The rosemary chicken was delicious with a lot of flavor and the sides served with it really complemented the dish well. It's difficult to go wrong with most locally sourced restaurants and we all should do better at supporting these establishments. We will definitely return."

  • "Wine List Was Paltry - Only one Shiraz and I had last glass as my first glass... wow. My food > Good. I Had trout. But it wasn't amazing. I wanted amazing. Her Food > Sea Bass. Mediocre. Frozen??? Server > Top Shelf. We didn't order our food, we told the Server to give us his best shot. (From film Ratatouille ) He knew the menu well and was well trained. Polite and Responsive. Ambiance > noisy... not much in way of noise dampening efforts. Speed of Service > Quick Appetizers > Pork thingy...off the chart! < Highly recommend. Dont know the name. Im not so sure about the place after eating there... I think if I spend $150 on a meal for two with tip, I want "amazing"... not "OK" or Pretty Good""

  • "We had a date night at the symphony and decided to grab dinner close to the PAC beforehand. The location was perfect...we were able to walk comfortably from the restaurant to the PAC. We were seated quickly and told the waiter we had a show to catch, so we were somewhat limited on time. He said that wouldn't be a problem. We ordered drinks and a salad to start then chicken and scallops for our entrees. Everything we ordered was amazing. This is a great place if you're looking for somewhere to go before a show or just to go out downtown. Will definitely be back soon."

  • "Friday January 31st was the best dinner that I have had in Tulsa in a long time. The venison/ scallop dinner was outstanding and so very rich and flavorful and cooked perfectly. The wine pairing was excellent."

  • "...A little rough...we had a reservation for 4 but the table we were waiting on was having too much fun and we ended up waiting an hour but in that time the staff was beyond accommodating and made the time pass quickly! They ensured we had an appetizer while we waiting and offered dessert at the end of a phenomenal meal. So even though things started off a little rough it was an excellent night and I would definitely recommend it..,looking forward to trying brunch there soon."

  • "Our food was excellent and our server was FANTASTIC! When I called to ask a question, the hostess was snippy, but that's the only negative we experienced. Will be back to Juniper:)"

  • "2nd time to eat here, everything we've had has been ridiculously good. Service is top notch as well. Only complaint is that the drinks are a little overpriced."

  • "Our meal consisted of carrot soup (my favorite dish amongst excellent dishes), Bixby Greens salad (as name implies supports local economy and a favorite of my date), I had Trout with Brussel Sprouts. The trout was cooked perfectly (easy to over cook but was very moist) and the brussel sprouts were seasoned and cooked to perfection. My date had the King Salmon and (as a connoisseur of Salmon) loved the preparation and the beets that seemed to be the perfect accompaniment). We finished with the cinnamon roll bread pudding. All in all the price point and the food were an exquisite value and you could tell the chefs and staff took pride in the preparation, presentation and customer service. I highly recommend you give Junipers a try."
