Diner Reviews
  • "Food was very tasty and it was a nice overall experience. My wife loves the house cocktails as well."

  • "We are always amazed by the items on the menu. The coffee rubbed steak and Wagu steak were out of this world. And of course we couldn't eat at Juniper without having some carrot soup - one of our favorites! So nice to have dinner in a quiet place where we can visit with each other without talking loudly."

  • "We were in town for just one night and found this gem on Yelp... What a terrific place. From the moment you step inside you know you are someplace special. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the cocktails were delicious. I had a grilled watermelon salad that was fantastic paired with the trout on the menu. My husband had the coffee rubbed filet that was out of this world. The wine is reasonably priced. We wish we had such a great place in our hometown of Plano Texas. We will be back if ever in Tulsa again!!"

  • "This was my first time at Juniper. It was recommended by a colleague. He said it was great and I was not disappointed. The menu is unique and the food is wonderful. Service was outstanding! This was a business meeting and we could talk without shouting."

  • "I met a friend for dinner here. We had one cocktail each that were good but not spectacular. But the carrot soup was delicious - really just about perfect. We also loved the Thai style gnocchi and the scallops special for the evening. It was an enjoyable dinner and we would love to return, but next time will try it for lunch because of the price. I will return again for dinner, but only for a special occasion."

  • "The food and service were superb. We dined there on a slow night, and the ambiance was comfortably cozy. The table settings were simple and the furnishings well appointed. This place allows the food and creative cocktails to take center stage."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "Juniper is high on my Favorites list. Although recent seasonal menu updates changed the gnocchi (one of my usual choices), the BLTFGT (fried green tomato) sandwich was a tasty lunch alternative. Of course, the Sweet Carrot Soup, presented beautifully with a swirl of chili oil and creme fraiche, remains the perennial starter-of-choice. Service was gracious, friendly, and efficient - in other words, nearly perfect."

  • "Waiter was very knowledgable about the menu, evwn though this was the first week of the summer menu so it had just changed. We had the cheese platter appetizer, and our entres' were the Tuna and Duck two ways. It was by far the the best meal we've had in the Tulsa area."
    Dined on 7/2/2014
  • "It was a little pricey for me to very frequently dine there, but the seasonal menu ensures the food is fresh, delicious, and well worth splurging a bit. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion or just for when you're craving a finer dining experience."

  • "The food was fantastic! I will be going back in the near future!"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "The food was delicious and service was prompt and courteous, had to wait a bit for the check or would have given 5 stars for service, my party had duck 2 ways, flank steak, and pork lasagna for entrees and all were wonderful. The flank steak was the best of the three entrees in our opinion. The white chocolate bread pudding and the homemade vanilla ice cream was exceptional."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "Awesome food!!! Salads were great and the rosemary chicken was to die for. Hubby got the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. This is our new favorite place to eat."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "I always enjoy coming to Juniper. Their specials reflect the seasonal produce available and they have a variety of protein to accompany it. I thought the food was just a hair rushed this time, but in general sill a great experience."
    Dined on 6/24/2014
  • "Went to dinner to celebrate anniversary, food tasted OK, but not impressed for the high price. Our service was poor at best. We also witnessed at least 2 tables near us send food back. Not impressed!"

  • "I don't live in Tulsa, but I come often for work and this is my favorite place to eat. It's been wonderful every time."

  • "I thought I was in a New York restaurant! Fabulous atmosphere, incredible food, amazing service!"

  • "Went on a Saturday night and eventhough very busy all courses served promptly. The food parings were unique and wonderful. Had many food choices that are unique to Juniper. Overall excellent food and great staff."

  • "This restaurant does not disappoint. They get their veggies from the farmer's market. They have a great drink menu. This is just a very cool place. We had great service. I highly recommend!!!! "
    Dined on 6/5/2014
  • "We ordered nine starters, entrees, & desserts and sampled each other food. Overall the food was bland & had very little taste. The cauliflower steak was outstanding! The duck confit was just okay but the duck in cabbage was tasteless. The rack of lamb was good but the lamb pastry was devoid of flavor. Cinnamon ice cream was very good. Very disappointed! Overrated & over-hyped!"

  • "Service was well-meaning, but inept. Forgot to offer specials, disorganized during order process, non-communicative in general. Food was good, not spectacular."

  • "We enjoyed trying something new sans kids for a mom's night out. The drink offerings were fun (a little pricey) with in-house made liqueur infusions. The farm-to table aspect was what piqued our interest in the restaurant and although the food was good, I wish there were a few more choices. I had the pork-belly "lasagna" and my friends ordered the scallops and rosemary chicken. No one was disappointed. Our waitress was great and we enjoyed speaking to the manager when he came by to ask is about our meal. Everyone was the right amount of attentive. Expect your bill to be on the pricier side but well worth giving it a try! "

  • " I was told that Juniper is a stellar downtown Tulsa gem worth visiting. Our experience was subpar. Near our table smelled like an old garbage disposal (musty, moldy, and spoiled). The waiter was attentive, knew his menu well, and was on key with timing. Waiter wore jeans - $150 for dinner for 2. Several knats or fruit flies were buzzing around our head during apps and meal, very difficult to enjoy the dinner. We arrived at 5:30 to catch a musical. It was too bright for a restaurant of this kind. The food was very good, the service was very good, but the overall experience was poor. If I am choosing the dinner location, I will not recommend this place, nor will I go back. I entertain many clients and Juniper will not have our business."

  • "Another restaurant in Tulsa that offers outdoor dining that doesn't sit on a busy street. Plus, it's charming and romantic. I'm not really sure why we were the only ones eating out there. Weather was perfect and once they lowered the music, it was just right (although it was a weird playlist). The food was inventive and delicious. Definitely get the pork belly as a first plate. We had a couple martinis and some red wine. They were wonderful drinks, but much, much smaller than any alcoholic offering I have had anywhere I've ever eaten. $180 with tip made for an expensive evening. Very pricey but very good. It'll have to be a very special evening the next time I'm able to go to Juniper. "

  • "Nice place with very good service. Carrot soup was excellent, green salad was a little bitter and the entrees were so-so. The dessert (cobbler) was delicious. We will give Juniper another try to see if it was just an off night for the entrees."
    Dined on 5/16/2014
  • "I love this place. The food and service are consistently good. Great ambience -- feel just at home in dressy, business, or dressy casual. (Not which noise level rating is good, but no problem with noise when I've been there.)"

  • "Tried Juniper for the first time and brunch was excellent. Good service, great cocktails and good food."
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "We have enjoyed Juniper in the past, but all at our table agreed that the meal this time was average at best. Portions were small, one dish was undercooked (which they did comp). Just not what you expect from a restaurant of this caliber."
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "As always a wonderful lunch, quiet enough to have a conversation and great service."
    Dined on 5/6/2014
  • "Food is always fantastic. Great cocktails and I recommend to sit at the bar if available."

  • "Sadly the day I was there they were having trouble with the kitchen "
    Dined on 4/22/2014
  • "Awesome food! Everything we had -- regular menu and specials -- was excellent. Time and attention was given to taste, presentation and even smell. The aromatic aspect of the food and drinks was stellar. The in-house made cocktails were wonderful. A throwback to old cocktail drinking days yet innovative and fresh! The wine list was very extensive. We had a wonderful culinary experience. Our only criticism -- very mild, but if we had to nitpick -- our waiter was a little slow at times in checking back with us on drink refills. But he was warm and friendly and it was the height of dinner time. All in all, one of the best meals we've had in town and we can't wait to go back."

  • "Made reservations and had to wait 15-20minutes for seating. The restaurant was loud and too small for seating available. The chef's choice dinner with wine was $140 for two and the entrees were bland. The wine pairing was at most fair. I won't be back."

  • "2nd visit several months apart & Cooper remembered us ...even where we sat before! Awesome!! Great date night!"
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "The food took a long time to get to the table, at 45 min. When it did show my wife's meal was cold. She was so Hungary she ate it anyway. She said it was still delicious. They made it up to us by not charging us for the meal. We've dined there before and thought it was great."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "They ran out of the scallops by 7:20, so I ordered the "duck two ways" and it was fantastic. Our friend had the brown butter trout and my husband had the filet. Both were very good, but the duck was the run away winner. We love Brussels sprouts, but these weren't as exciting as we had expected. The service was friendly and efficient and the wines we chose were very nice. The lavender bread pudding wasn't on the menu, so we skipped dessert."

  • "I have eaten at Junipers on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent and the wait staff very knowledgeable with the menu and wine pairings. I will definitely recommend Juniper when the opportunity arises."

  • "Fresh produce and great gluten free menu. Also nice variety of choices. Our food was warm, but very tasty. Also perhaps my scallops were undercooked, but seared well. I would next time ask them to cook them fully."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "We had great service for lunch. It was over half full. Food was just okay - may have been what we ordered. The menu selections are somewhat limited and portions are on the smaller side. They serve Farrell Family bread which is delicious. It is served warm with a special butter."

  • "Juniper was the perfect place for our girls night out. Leslie, out waitress, must have had a masters degree in how to wait tables. Honestly, the best wait staff I have ever had. Food was perfect and I loved all the gluten-free options. Overall a lovely experience that I can't wait to repeat!"
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "Leslie made our visit very enjoyable. Menu a bit over pricey for us to go often, but we will be there for special occasions. The food and choices on the menu were superb. Thank you for a very nice evening."
