Never disappointing and always a welcome and friendly smile. Love the amuse bouche concoctions, the creativity of the starters, and the tenderness of the beef main dish. Will definitely be back.

I organized an outing for a group of people who used to work together, at Juniper's, for a long lunch. What we got was good food, no undue pressure to move along and pleasant...hear me...pleasant service. Three of us had the risotto and it was a fine thing. It is hard to beat truffle oil. One of our friends had the trout and spoke so highly of it that we all wished we had ordered it. ( the server had recommended it as his favourite dish). The carnivore of our group ordered the lamb burger and was so silent that we knew he was in burger heaven somewhere. He didn't rave about the chickpea chips however. Only two of us had dessert...the brule. It was heaven sent. The wine selection is superb and I really like the decor. Bravo

I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was terrible... overcooked, dry, tasteless. I mentioned it to our waiter and she informed the chef, but no feedback was provided to me, and I was charged the full amount for an entree that stayed in my plate... pretty sad.

We had a fantastic dinner at Juniper Kitchen, start to finish. From the appetizers (the salt cod, spot prawn brandade with chipotle aioli was outstanding), to dinner (beef tenderloin with chimichurri), to dessert (oh hello crème brûlée), everything was delicious. We also can't say enough about the service. Ali was attentive, positive and helpful -- graciously answering our questions (what the heck is a 'brandade'?). We'll definitely be back.

Really exceptional food, beautifully presented for all courses and well trained service staff. I tried the beef filet "sous vide": my first taste of sous vide preparation for meat. Wow it made for one fabulous steak. We especially appreciated their straight forward approach to the Ontario law allowing you to cork your remaining wine and take it home. They offered to hold back from over pouring (traditionally aimed at finishing the bottle) and even decanted the bottle and recanted the remainder so that our fine wine was still served at its best. Now this was service! Most enjoyable evening thank you.

Was there at noon for a business lunch (first time ever) and went away with clear memory of the fragant, taste, the texture and of course the service. A supper is now imperative. Well done!

very good in general. I like the restaurant because I can bring my own wine there and enjoy it with the food. The food was pretty good, but it doesn't have lamb, so, a bit disappointed.

We had a lovely family reunion dinner at Juniper's just before New Year's. The food, as usual, exceeded its superlative standards, as did the service. Juniper's has become our "go to'" place for special get-togethers.

This was my first time at Juniper. My first impression was quite good - nice decor, chic. The menu was the same or similar to what I had seen online - no surprises. I was debating between two menu items and asked the waitress for suggestions but she was non-committal. So, I chose the duck as it came with foie gras (according to the menu) - that tipped the scale. My son chose the same. Unfortunately, my waitress didn't mention that there was no foie gras until the plates were served. It was still a good meal but not sure it was worth the price ($36). I should mention that the others at the table were also satisfied with their meals - nothing bad but nothing overwhelmingly good either.

  • Favorite dinner spot in Ottawa

We have dined at Junkper several times and have always loved it. The food is consistently fantastic, the service is impeccable, yet friendly and not stuffy, the atmosphere is beautiful and can be either fun or relaxing - depending on your mood. Easily our favorite spot for a nice night out in the city. The beef tartar is always a different daily creation, and I can never bring myself to order anything else on the app menu...sooo good! Also, their creme brûlée is the best I've ever had.

I'll start by saying we have been to Juniper several times already. We return because the food is fantastic and the service is top notch. We show up two or three times a year but are treated like we come every weekend. Staff remember our names, previous servers will stop by the table to say hello, and we are made to feel special. Top that off with food that always impresses and great recommendations from the wine list and we always leave feeling like royalty - well fed royalty.

What an explosion of flavours! We have been to most of Ottawa's top 10 restaurants and we say it's time for a review! Un expérience culinaire inoubliable qui vaut la peine; à ne pas manquer! La terrasse est aussi très attrayante! Il faudra l'essayer la prochaine fois.
