"A very quiet lunch spot at the Fairmont hotel, but the food was very good. I had a Seafood Cobb salad, that on the surface seemed like it would be rather ordinary, but had some really great flavors withe crab, shrimp&smoked salmon. The chicken salsd BLT croissant was good, but could have used a bigger bacon flavor. Altogether a pleasant atmosphere."

"We always enjoy our late morning brunch at Juniper whenever we are in DC, which is often. We usually ask friends and family to join us. Very conducive atmosphere, service and ambiance for a group like ours. We will return."

"Went back for dinner after a wonderful lunch. For lunch I had the tuna melt which was seared tuna on bruschetta with shaved parm, olives and tomato - outstanding. Had the braised rib for dinner, also very good. The honey bread was outstanding! Looking forward to going back for the cheese platters!"

"Went to Juniper at Fairmont for valentines day dinner and wine pairing. Our server was attentive, friendly and accomodating. He allowed us to substitute wine with dessert. The Juniper is located on first floor of The Fairmont. Great for special occasions, good place to bring s/o"

"My mother and I dined at Juniper for the first time on Saturday...And, I have to say that it is an excellent restaurant. They were feature a prixe fixed menu that featured the fresh honey that the chef collects from the rooftop bee hives. The menu also featured a wine pairing for each course. The wine pairings were excellent! Each course featured the fresh honey, and each course was delicious! My mom and I made sure to order different things so that we could try everything...At the end of the meal, neither one of us could choose our favorite dish because it was so GOOD! I definitely recommend this restaurant because of the kind and professional staff, the delicious food, the intimate atmosphere!"

"No surprise that, after living in DC for 6 yrs, no one has ever recommended Juniper to me. Ambience – not updated since 1981. Wine - Malbec. They served it chilled bc apparently they store all of their reds in a wine cooler. Food - Caters to the palates of seniors - bland, soupy, and uninspired. The crab soup was bland and served room temp. The mushroom gnocchi -- had very little gnocchi and very few mushrooms. Instead, it was inexplicably covered in ratatouille. “Homemade” Cookies - Neither hot nor soft. Hard, crumbly, dry, and salty. Service - Best described as neglect. We apparently had 3 waiters but none of them were around to refill our empty wine glasses or make take our order. One rolled his eyes when we finally got his attention."
