  • "Was not disappointed! From the moment we arrived for my friends birthday lunch, I was impressed by the excellent service which continued during our visit. Food was exceptional - salmon tartare, seam bream (with the best crispy skin ever!) and peach trifle, were delicious. And the sparkling water was perfect and refreshing. One friend did not like her chicken sandwich, so the fabulous waiter replaced it with the sea bream - outstanding service once again. And he made note of it being a birthday visit and surprised my friend with a special birthday dessert. A memorable lunch. Thanks team Jump!"

  • "Haven't been back here since 2009 and it didn't disappoint! busy place for lunch but crowd quickly dissipated after mid morning hour. Food was wonderful, service prompt, proper & waiter was friendly, helpful. Main course was just right, desserts were even better! Yummy! Good down town scene, near subway line and ambience was just right! Nostalgic for me and new discovery for my friend. We agree: definitely will return again for another great lunch."

It's embarrassing when he shows up with clients and is told he doesn't have a reservation when I made it for him (open table) and someone called and confirmed that day! Apparently this has happened a few times, personally I rather not get yelled at by your error...If you can't honour reservations under open table then please remove your restaurant from list..THX"

  • "Enjoyed the first day of Summerlicious at Jump. The menu was varied and offer good choices. While the service was outstanding, I would have to say that food was good but not great. My group all felt the same - no complaints but no compliments either. We had high expectations for our meals and we were all slightly disappointed. The desserts were the best part of the meal which is why I gave a 4 rather than a 3 star rating."

  • "It's been a few years since I was at Jump and so I was really looking forward to the evening. A Thursday night out in the finance district used to see Jump as a happening, fun, super social place to be with an inventive menu. Our party sat on the patio which was DEAD and inside was quiet too. The staff were very good and attentive but the food was mediocre. We shared pulled BBQ sliders, salmon ceviche, and had an heirloom tomato salad and a caesar. The caesar salad was terrible with one solitary anchovy and a strip of hard bacon. We also had to ask for a bread basket. Sooooo.....it was OK but I won't be in a hurry to go back. Sorry Jump :("

  • "I was overall pleased with our visit to Jump. However, there were a few things I wanted to point out: 1. No oysters available or Halibut fish on menu. 2. Asked for no pulled pork in the scallop appetizer, but pork was still added to the plate. 3. Truffle mushrooms (side order) initially ordered didn't come out with the salmon (main dish) and had to ask for it. Otherwise, no issues. We really didn't have any big deal with the above, but wanted to point it out. Thank you."

  • "Very accesible....restaurant ambience was OK...service friendly but not great, especially since we looked at earlier reviews that praised service. We advised at reservation that it was a birthday event and requested a birthday dessert...was acknowledged as a birthday by waiter upon arrival but then nothing!! Desert was not even offered...any kind! The Food was very good overall but the ribeye for two was just ok."

  • "We were a group from out of town in the city for the weekend. We wanted to find a great spot to eat within walking distance from our hotel. I found this restaurant on the urbanspoon and it did not disappoint! The food was phenomenal and the service outstanding. The staff were efficient and attentive and very patient. The special that night was a bacon wrapped beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth. The oysters were also popular at our table. My only minor complaint is the lamb shank I ordered (which was very tasty) didn't come with any greens. Wasn't a fan of the pot lights pointed in my eyes all night but the food and service more than made up for it."

  • "My wife and I dined there Saturday night. Overall these were our thoughts: PROS: - Nice ambiance. Not too noisy. - Everyone we interacted with (i.e. our server, bus boy, hostess etc.) was very nice. - Portion sizes were quite large for a restaurant in this price range. CONS: - Food is mediocre. For a restaurant in this price range we expected more flavorful food. - Not good value for money. Between my wife and I we ordered 2 drinks, 1 app, 2 sides, 2 mains for a little over $150 and left feeling disappointed. At the Chase, we ordered the same amount + dessert for $200 and left feeling blown away. OVERALL: - In this price range, you should walk away happy or thoroughly impressed. We were neither. There are much better options in the city. "

  • "I went here for lunch and ordered the Calamari main. Although the calamari itself tasted good the plating made it difficult to eat. The two large pieces sit in a deep bowl surrounded by some veggies, however in the bottom of the bowl is a pool of liquid (perhaps from veggies and calamari itself). This made it incredibly difficult to cut the calamari since you basically had it swimming in water and splashing all over (did not seem like an intentional sauce). I also had a side Kale salad which was great, and a beet juice which was over priced but good. My colleague had a white fish that she enjoyed quite a bit. I've been here before and although I've like the food I think there are better options in the city for the price point. "

  • "My boyfriend & I went there to celebrate his birthday. When I made the reservation at Jump through Booking.com, I made a special request & Jump had accommodated my special request upon our arrival. Not only did that set the tone for the restaurant right away in showing that their level of customer service was exquisite, but it continued throughout our entire dining experience there. Every worker there played a part in bussing our table, coming to casually chit chat with us, ask how our meal was, and so on. To top it off, the atmosphere there can be taken as romantic or business casual. Jump should be extremely proud of their incredible food & customer service; I'd recommend anyone go there for any occasion!"

  • "I had the half roasted chicken. It came with feta, balsamic and tomato runner beans. The dish was so delicious. Husband had the Piglet shoulders with veggies. The cheesecake was crazy good - one a biscotti crust, wrapped in layers of phylo then served slightly warm. How decadent, but so good! It's been on their menu for 20 years."

  • "As usual the Mushroom Soup was excellent. Your Daily specials have become our go to items, the butter chicken looked amazing, pasta was perfect and your famous Tuna continues to impress.   • "Excellent dinner. Raw Scallops superb. Steak (rare) was tender and tasty - excellent. Service was excellent. We commented on the wine we were enjoying (not available via LCBO) - a few minutes a manager came with a wine distributor web page for us to contact (we have !). Steak tartare - the meat was good - the crostini way to powerful/complex to accompany it - resembled a small rolled up pizza - the cheese and other flavours overpower the tartare ."

  • "We went here for Winterlicious. We reserved in advance so there was no wait. We were greeted nicely and were able to dine comfortably. The food was great too although the portion size was a bit small - note however that this was during Winterlicious so it was expected. Overall a great experience. Would recommend."

  • "This place caters to suits so you'll definitely feel out of place if you're dressed for a casual lunch. The pros: I liked their daily specials and the food came quick. The cons: we went for lunch and I ordered the daily special of pasta (fettucine and chicken), which was too oily and salty. In fact, it was alarming how much olive oil was put in that dish. Overall, the service was good and they were attentive but the food turned me off. In fact, I've never liked anything I've had at an O&B restaurant but my company paid so I don't complain about free meals. Although, next time? I'd prefer to eat in the Path."

  • "Consistently mediocre food. Went there for lunch recently and they were out of the specials by 1. Had a flavourless mushroom soup garnished with, get this, raw sliced button mushrooms, and an oily puddle that was supposed to be truffle oil, I think. Not a hint of bred was offered which would have been useful to soak up the broth of the tortelli do bologna, also. Not sure if this was an oversight by the server but by this point I didn't really care."

  • "Hands down, the bone-in cote de boeuf for two is the best piece of meat I have had in Toronto, and quite possibly anywhere else. I have now had it 5x in about six months and it never disappoints. It is succulent and delicious, and perfectly cooked every time. The chef will go out of his way to prepare a requested side dish (like lobster tail or shrimp) even though it is not on the menu. The service is impeccable and management is top notch. Add the fact that Jump allows patrons to bring their own wine and it is hands down my favorite restaurant in the city."
