  • "Shrimp creole consisted of two shrimp a few tomatoes served over a cold waffle. The snapper offered had no flavor to dry to even finish. The asparagus were however good. The eggs benefit were disaster. Dry and extremely Overcooked eggs and again lacked any seasoning Finally the chicken was ordinary side items on the buffet line were not the quality I have gotten at Julieettes the many of the dishes were empty with no attempt to refrsh. • "I work in downtown Jacksonville and hadn't been to Juliette's in quite a while and was so pleased to discover it has been newly renovated and remodeled. Very refreshing and relaxing downtown spot in the Omni Hotel and Office tower, and a nice quiet alternative to the noise and bustle of the restaurants at The Landing. Would highly recommed as a choice for dining before or after a concert, or to meet a friend for happy hour after work. The food was very good (some entrees had a nice New Orleans flair) and the service excellent."

  • "I am not a fan of the new menu. They took away some of my favorites, like the shrimp nachos, crab cake appetizer, and salmon BLT. We often like to eat here before the Symphony concerts. The food is decent but the new menu is a bit pricey. The lunch buffet is a good deal and nicely presented. I wish they would have the buffet before the concerts since they dropped so many of the reasonably priced items from the old menu. "

  • "Located in the Omni, Juliettes is convenient for anyone attending thr symphony or performances at the Times Union Center.New décor is a vast improvement, but weekend menu is very limited."

  • "After reading some poor reviews we were a tad leary about dinning here. Our concern was not a problem . We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The dinning room is very open but still pleasant."

  • "How nice to eat across the street from the symphony in Jacksonville! Convenience coupled with delicious food. Great combo. Yummy rolls, too, for those who still eat bread!"

  • "I've eaten here before with no problem, this time I left without eating. arrived a little late, the restaurant was understaffed and the staff that was there was rude and overworked. Did not receive my food in time to eat it before our show, had to leave. If you are going to be available for show schedules you need to staff accordingly. Very, very, very unhappy. No apology received when I said we would have to leave, I got this response,,,,"well everyone is having to wait",,,what kind of service is that?"

  • "We'd never been to Juliette's Bistro, and went there before the musical Memphis at the Times-Union Center across the street. Great dinner. Perfect timing. Loved it. Happy to have such an elegant restaurant in downtown Jax."

  • "Excellent service, good food. Pre concert/show menu is always good."

  • "Tried it before a show at the theatre. Good location, great service staff, but food leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited dinner menu and the quality/taste of the food was very bland. Had shrimp and pasta dish that was exactly that, shrimp mixed with pasta and no flavor....shrimp was mushy. Wife had chicken expecting a chicken breast but it looked and tasted more like a mystery meat...disappointed because we had high expectations. Will not return."

  • "I had the Blackened Snapper and it was terrible. Way over cooked and dry as a bone. I am not sure it was even snapper. Texture was more like grouper. There was a conference of songwriters where a group played amplified music facing into the restaurant. You could not carry on a conversation at the table because of the loud music. I will not be back. Dennis R Markos"

  • "Simple menu with everything done extremely well. Scallops and Shrimps not overcooked. Caesar salad with anchovy vinaigrette could use more anchovy flavor (would have preferred real anchovies). Service perfect. Good wine list. Table in the hotel atrium added to the spacious uncrowded ambiance."

  • "We chose Juliette's because we had tix to Warhorse across the street and my wife had been there before the remodel and said the food and service were fine. The restaurant was less than 1/2 full when we arrived and yet it was 10 minutes before our waitress came to see us. It was all downhill from there. Everything took way too long to come and although we got out in time for the show it was nerve racking. I was in position to watch most of the restaurant's wait staff and realized that it was a matter of very poor management. I could see our waitress serving tables on the opposite end of the place. All of the wait staff has to enter the orders into a single touch screen on the far end of the place. They were at times lined up 3 deep waiting"

  • "This restaurant has a great location, especially when you are going to a show across the street. The food is nothing special, and the wine list leaves much to be desired. Both of our meals where lukewarm at best. The service was exceptional."

  • "We had a very enjoyable dinner evening. The service was astounding; valet, host and hostess, servers. I was thoroughly impressed. Food was excellent. Fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had."

  • "Both the service and the food were horrible - I will never go back! Do not waste your money...I never eat at fast food restaurants but would choose to eat at one over going back to Juliette's Bistro at the Omni."

  • "When we come to the downtown for theater/music productions at the Times-Union Center for Performing Arts, we like to have dinner first. We want a special, although not exorbitant, meal to make a great night of it. Juliette's Bistro fills those criteria, plus the wait staff is very careful to make sure of the time we want to leave the make the curtain time, and they have never disappointed us in getting us out by that time. This time, we brought friends, one of whom must have gluten-free food (which is not always easy to find in restaurants.) Juliette's offered a wide variety of choices, and her meal was delicious. I was glad to be able to bring her to a great place that could meet her needs as well."

  • "Considering this was a New Year's eve last minute reservation at a downtown hotel hosting the Gator Bowl the next day, we felt fortunate to get a table. The food was good. The wine list was sparse. The service was hurried, probably because they were trying to turn the table over. We had a 6:45 reservation. I had the duck which was very good. My friend had the filet mignon which she liked. All in all a good experience."

  • "We use Juliette's for after concert meal. We had friends in for the holiday and went there for New Year's Eve dinner. They were impressed with the restaurant in all aspects. The only negative element is the introduction of a shuffleboard in the bar area. This draws a rather loud crowd, especially when associated with football. Otherwise a wonderful place to eat and enjoy. The wait staff is noteworthy, competent and helpful without being intrusive."

  • "The restaurant was dim and very quiet. The waitress was very attentive and polite. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's a good restaurant for special occasions."

  • "My mom, 9 year old and I went to Juliette's for Christmas dinner. There were lots of couples and other families but the noise level was not high at all. The decor and ambiance were wonderful and service was good. They had a special Christmas dinner as well as their full menu available. The food was delicious and the prime rib was especially tender. The only downside was that their machine could not process Visa gift cards (mine was the third one that wouldn't work while we were there). We will definitely go back, though."

  • "While we gather with members of our large family here in Jacksonville on Christmas Eve, our new tradition is that we celebrate on Christmas Day in the serene, sophisticated, urban restaurant at the Omni Hotel....just the two of us! This is our second year of treating ourselves to this luxury, and we hope to be able to continue dining at the Omni downtown for Christmases to come! Joanne Liberty"

  • "The food was tasty and service very good. Wait staff professional and responsive. Atmosphere was upscale and a great compliment for a theatre night out. Convenient parking and a short walk to Times Union building made this a great date night option."

  • "Saturday night before an event at thetheater. As we entered, couldn't hear the waitress for the noise and she could not hear us without me raising my voice.Asked for a quiet section of the restaurant; told there were none. Could see empty tables further from tvs and noisy bar. Told they were reserved. Got up to leave and another server escorted us to a quieter table. Husband ordered gumbo but he had to remind the server. It came late and was quite spicy but good. brandy shrimp was ok. Oyster chowder had a few oysters but tasted very milky. I ordered crab cakes which were mediocre. The iced tea tasted like instant. NOT GOOD in the South! Had no alcohol, meal was well over $50 and mediocre. Don't plan on returning."

  • "I've been to Juliette's numerous times before for work lunches and occasionally for dinner, but have never been on a weekend or with my 4-year-olds. We were headed to the ballet and wanted a nice lunch beforehand and Juliette's was an obvious choice. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. The server was gracious to me and my children, and a delicious meal in a comfortable atmosphere was had by all. The menu is not that enterprising which makes it a good choice when dining with picky-eaters (young and old)."

  • "We were treating my new mother-in-law before the ballet. We discovered the restaurant a few months ago on our way to the theatre. The place was busy and the food and service was memorable the first time. This time was not the case. Our server was extremely friendly, attentive and pleasant. She offered helpful suggestions for wine and entrees. I choose the fish (grouper?), and it was extremely over cooked to the point where I couldn't cut into it with a knife without it bouncing all over my plate. I'm not one to complain, but my husband noticed my struggle with my entrée. Atone point the bartender yelled to our server from the bar that she had the wrong wine for my mother in law. The server was clearly embarrassed. Very disappointed"

  • "For some reason, restaurants downtown change their menu to a pricey, limited menu whenever there is a show. I was so pleased that Juliette's had a light sandwich menu when we were there before the symphony last month, that I made reservations for my friends and I to have dinner before we went to see Flashdance. Most people DO NOT want a heavy meal before they have to sit 3 hours at a show. The manager graciously allowed us to use the bar menu, but it was not the same menu that they had a month ago. Won't be recommending it again."

  • "My husband and I are always looking for a convenient restaurant with good food to go to before the Symphony. Juliette's Bistro is just the thing! They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and paninis. If you are looking for something more substantial, they have that too."

  • "The food has greatly improved since the arrival of the new chef. We heard there's a new menu coming and we're looking forward to it, not so much that the current menu is bad, as that we'd like the chef to put his "signature" on their offerings. It's been coming for a while and we're not sure what the hold up is. Maybe in time for the holidays? BTW, the service here is excellent, attentive without being intrusive. If you haven't been here in a while, do give it a try."

  • "My wife and & were attending the symphony across the street, and this dinner location was simply chosen out of ease for attending. I would offer that anyone who makes the same decision review what shows are playing the same evening. Unfortunately for us the "You Think You Can Dance" review was playing at the same theatre and the Omni Juliette's Bistro wait staff were completely overwhelmed. A table next to us with 14 people seated turned back 9 dishes which quickly delayed every single table after that. There is a minimal wine list that could easily be purchased at Publix so prices were 25% over the necessary, and the food was cold on arrival. All in all not a great experience."

  • "Juliettes always has a show menu with very good options, I would highly recommend Juliettes for anyone going to a show across the street at the times union, they have fast service and a very pleasant atmosphere. Only drawback was it is a little noisy but not enough to stay away."

  • "My salmon was cooked to perfection however my partner's veal was tough and chewy. Orange creme brûlée was not creamy but lumpy!! I use this restaurant when going to the Times- Union bldg. for a show as it is very convenient."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our meals: pan-seared scallops, and grilled grouper. Unfortunately, our main courses were delivered while we were still enjoying our flatbread appetizers. The waiter stood there with the dinners in his hands waiting for us to move the appetizer plates out of the way so he could put down the entrees. Overall we were happy; the bread pudding added to our experience, and the fact that we were across the street from The Moran Theater made it very convenient for the show we were in Jax for."

  • "A restaurant in this type of Hotel should never be backed up. We sat down at 6:30pm to make the Mama mia concert and I chose the specially prepared Menu for the concert. We had to wait nearly one hour for the entrees, did not have time for desert, many other tables were complaining and we almost missed the start of the concert. Only staff comment "kitchen backed up". Not acceptable."

  • "The food is very good. There are lighter fare options which is helpful for those wanting less dinner. We were shown a table first that seemed in the middle of the room and when we asked for something less exposed , there was some initial hesitation on the part of the hostess but the request was quickly granted by a manager and we had a table for 4 against the wall. This is a great restaurant for anyone going to the Symphony. WE had a 6:15 reservation on a Friday night which was more than enough time to eat leisurely and get to the show."
