The atmosphere is only okay. The service was slow for everyone. The food was excellent. As long as one's expectations aren't too high, it's a great place to eat before a concert. Park just once and walk from dinner to the concert.

Ordered drinks Jack Daniels for myself and CC for my wife -- "the bar just ran out, have to go to the storage room for more - 15 min. Ordered grilled grouper -- over cooked and very dry. My wife ordered filet mignon (med rare) -- over cooked (med at best) and dry. Succotash was totally under cooked -- rather crunchy. Would not recommend.

We did not care for the inside seating. I sat on a long bench and my husband sat on a chair and we felt so far away from each other. Not very comfortable. Also my husband ordered the blackened rib eye and it was not very good. We did not send it back because they were very busy.

we had tix for the show at the Times-Union for 8pm. the Omni is right across the street. we were a group of 8. my husband & I did Sunday brunch there a couple of years ago & it was good. this time it was barely fair. service was laughable (they ran out of coffee cup saucers and folders for the checks, we were given a piece of paper like at Denny's) and very disjointed. perhaps not enough staff for the large crowd that was there. the food quality was great, once it showed up. service very slow. not a pleasurable experience. ran out of wine, too!!

Dining at the Omni is consistently good experience. My wife and I have been there a number of times before a concert at the JAX Symphony. The food and service have always been good, but nothing exceptional. However, the Omni is right next to the parking garage and across the street from the Symphony. The location cannot be beat.

We ate here prior to Jax Symphony concert. Room is very high, mostly glass overlooking city. Menu is varied & interesting: roasted beet salad -very good but on the small side. Crab cake appetizer (treated it like my entree') - outstanding (great crab flavor and corn garnish) & artfully presented; looked like 3 seared scallops (clever). Generous portion for an appetizer. Partner had special grouper with andoullie crusted on collard greens, which was extremely tasty, not too spicy hot, and perfectly cooked. The collard greens were exceptionally well seasoned and flavorful, not bitter like collards can be. This was such a nice dining experience & so convenient to the symphony. Will repeat it as often as we go to the Times Union venue.

We were in JAX for a concert at Veteran's Memorial and stayed at the Omni. We almost didn't go here, noting some mixed reviews. I'm certainly glad we did! We sat on the "patio" which simulates an outdoor experience with all the comforts of being indoors. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad which arrived with freshly grated cheese, warm chicken and the perfect amount of the most scrumptious dressing. Ever. My friend chose the Grilled Salmon with Whiskey Sauce and all but licked the plate. Afterwards the Flourless Chocolate Torte was amazing. Service was very attentive. We were in want of nothing. I will definitely return.

When going to the Symphony Hall it's convenient and just a short walk. We have eaten there many, many times, since we are season ticket holders. Recently the quantity of food has decreased and service is not stellar at all. My husband and I paid 8.00 each for a salad prior to dinner. It tasted fabulous, but was so small I almost laughed. We even asked if the split it by mistake. Our entree was basically the same. Presentation AND taste fabulous.........but small quantity.

Crab & corn chowder had a wonderful flavor but was kind of thin & I thought should have been a little chunkier for $8. Otherwise fun outing & delicious food & great service, and so nice not to have to worry about preparing & cleaning up after dinner at home pre-symphony.

Our family went out to celebrate my mother's birthday and everything we ate was delicious!! The crab cakes and fried green tomatoes were the best I've tasted so far and everyone enjoyed their main courses. Everything was a good portion size even the kids meals. My mom was really happy and even enjoyed the complimentary chocolate cake they served.

Went there on a Sunday night and was my first time there. The place was empty, probably due to the hotel and downtown in general not being busy, but the service was good, the food was great, and it was a very nice experience. Would like to try the bar on a busier night. No kids menu from what I saw. Maybe they bring them out separately if kids are there, not sure.

Great hotel and location but food quality of the Eat Up Downtown selection was just okay unfortunately. The bread rolls were not good. The wedge salad dressing mediocre and sauce on short ribs not satisfying. One outstanding item was the Pinto Bean Gumbo prepared New Orleans style. There is room for improvement with quality. The presentation of the food was done well, but it did not make up for the overall food experience. The bar area is nice and I definitely have this as a go to place when the occasion arises.

Our server immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. For appetizers, my husband ordered "black bean gumbo" and I ordered the "fried green tomatoes". My appetizer was wonderful, nice batter, with a mustard dipping sauce. My husband's gumbo was inedible. He likes spicy food but the gumbo was inedible. The waitress came by immediately to check on us. When my husband explained about the gumbo, she whisked it away, apologized, and brought him a 2nd appetizer, all in less than 2 mins. When you have a problem in a restaurant, this is the kind of action you want.

I've dined at Juliette's a couple of times a year for several years. Because the tables are along a half wall with banquettes and chairs, it doesn't get too loud, but you are in close proximity to other diners. The food is well presented, with excellent service. It can be busy, or, midweek, empty. If dining before a show or symphony, I recommend a reservation. Our entrees were perfectly prepared, but the fried green tomatoes were a disaster. Thick pockets of dough with a hint of green rattling around the hollow inside. Our terrific server, Turner, told the chef who revised the recipe. This time thicker wedges of green tomato came encased in a thin batter so you got the taste of texture of tomato. Much better.

Our appetizers were terrific: black eyed pea gumbo was somthing I've never had before and the fried green tomatoes were delicious. I very much enjoyed my filet mignon and my husband had a whole fried fish that made him think he had died and gone to heaven. We drank a nice bottle of wine. The portion sizes were generous but not obnoxious. We overall had a great meal and plan to return with my parents.

I wanted a Mother's Day brunch no where near the Town Center or TPC so Juliette's was it. I was say the food was average (good, but average); nothing mind-blowing. I also felt like the staff was a bit disorganized that morning; maybe since it was a Mother's Day Brunch. Not sure what a normal brunch service would include so I can't really comment on that. I enjoyed that there was a live instrumental group playing. That was nice. I may wind up going back again just to really formulate a better opinion.

We were greeted by name when we checked in by a friendly staff. That was the best part of our dinner that night. The waitress didn't know about the fish of the day other than the name. She took our order and delivered our food, that was about it. The food was good, but not great. The Wedge Salad with warm bacon dressing was no more than a wedge (as expected) with cold mustard dressing and bacon chips on the plate, really not worth the $8. My wife's shrimp were a bit undercooked and even though they were billed as fried, they were sauteed. My entree was good, no complaints. Overall, this night it was just a restaurant, not a great dining experience.
