Diner Reviews
  • "I met two friends for lunch at Juliette's . I made reservations at 11:30,which was good because we could pick any table. We sat on the patio and it was very pleasant. My only complaint (and I'm sure this is an age issue) is the music , which added to the noise factor. We each ordered a different salad, and they were all delicious. Lunch at Juliette is a special treat"

  • "Have used this for everything from the office holiday lunch to dinner with old friends. Always wonderful."

  • "The food and service was great... highly recommend... we enjoyed and shared all small plates... well worth it, the chef made sure to pace delivery so we were not rushed..."

  • "Four of us dined at Juliette on a Monday night. Restaurant was largely empty and quiet; weekends are noisier. We lingered for close to three hours and never felt rushed. Started with wine and cocktails at the bar, then ate at a quiet corner table. Two couples shared a cheese and charcuterie plate. The "Ewe" blue cheese and mole salumi were especially good. We shared several excellent small plates: beets with cherries and goat cheese; sweetbreads; a moist and tender quail; tasty scallops, and mussels with fries. Strawberry shortcake was disappointing; sherbet was not a good substitute for real strawberries. And there was a shortage of bread to sop up the great sauces, especially the mussels. A nice experience, overall, and we will return."

  • "always a fabulous meal, and the wine is never disappointing. had the veal skirt steak salad today, with the 2012 experience pinot noir. Andrew is such a great server, always has great suggestions & is just such a sweetie! looking forward to my next meal :P"

  • "The Open Table description in terms of price is a little deceiving as the plates priced under $20 are all smaller plates, similar to tapas. The waitress eventually explained this, despite asking if we had eaten there before, and then recommended for two people 3-4 smaller plates and 1-2 entrees, meaning our meal would be +/- $85 before tax, tip, or wine. The food was very good, we especially loved the scallops. The waitress however forgot to fire our last plate and a big rush had come in so it took easily twenty minutes between our last plate and the one before it. There was no apology for messing that up, no slash in our wine glass while we waited, nothing. Will be back, but will be sure our server got our order right."

  • "The food was good. But I ordered medium hamburger and it came out rare. Not too many variety for entree lunch. The tables were too close and noisy."

  • "Most USA food is low quality and highly processed. We just returned from France and Spain where they value high quality food. Juliette's understands how to do it right like the French and Spanish. Their dinners are exceptional and now we are hooked on lunch!"

  • "I met with a few of my former coworkers here for lunch. It was super easy to reserve through opentable, and though I showed up later my party was able to get seated under my reservation. The food is great and the weather was nice enough to sit outside in the covered patio area."

  • "My first visit and I will go back!! Great food! Nice wine list but not to expensive, You will like this place. Easy to find but parking a bit of a challenge."

  • "Decent food, casual spot, great neighborhood find. This place was recommended to me as a romantic restaurant-- not so much it couldn't hear my server let alone my date. Next time I'll come for a glass of wine and casual dinner with a group of friends."

  • "Food was good but no substitutions are allowed. Picky eaters need not apply. Noise level inside is like being next to a jet engine. Felt like we were being rushed the entire night."

  • "Perhaps the best lunch I've ever had. Four in our party and everyone was blown away with their lunch. The risotto appetizer was incredible, just incredible. "

  • "There is a wine shop next door and you can purchase wine to consume in the restaurant for a very slight mark-up from retail. A good value. They switch from the lunch menu to the bar menu, somewhat limited but varied enough to enjoy, at 2:30. The quality of the food is excellent and our server, Andrew, was attentive even though he is the bartender as well (we sat at a high top in the bar). He is very knowledgeable about the spirits, wines and food and were happy we followed his suggestions. A great place to go if you want to catch an afternoon movie and then go somewhere to discuss it. • "There were five of us at lunch. Four of us were pleased with our order, but the fifth ordered a chicken sandwich thinking it would be slices of chicken between the bread slices. Instead the kitchen used little pieces of chicken, which made a very dry sandwich. The little fell out with each bite. When my friend complained to the waitress that she was dissatisfied with the sandwich and would like the manager to know. The waitress answered that they never had any complaints about it before, and never indicated that she told the manager. Also, no concession was made on the bill. This made for bad feelings for the whole group."

  • "Had a party of five for dinner. Food was exceptional especially for the price. The duck breast was fabulous. Wine list was different and interesting. Service was cheerful although a little slow. But not a big deal. The restaurant is a little noisy but not enough to affect the evening. Great night. Good food, wine and friends. Will definitely keep coming back."

  • "Always excellent food at Juliette. Items that are always on the menu like the faro rissoto and mussels should not be missed. Ahi Tuna (not always on the menu) a fantastic option since its a standout compared to Ahi appetizers on other restaurant menus. Love the kale salad with the divine capers and pine nuts. This is consistently the best restaurant in Orange County."

  • "My wife and I highly recommend Juliette to anyone who wants to get away from all those chain restaurants. The food, service and ambiance was the perfect trifecta for a great evening. "

  • "We loved it the first time and loved it again. All the food is delicious but pricey! Great selection of off beat liquors. We will be back. The noise is loud so don't plan on any intimate conversations. Great place for a fun lively night!"

  • "I've eaten here for lunch and dinner, both times making me want to return. The food is creative and delicious, and the restaurant quite pretty. Our waitress gave fantastic, first class service. She was attentive without being intrusive and proved very knowledgeable for our gluten free companion. This is really a first class addition to the OC dining scene. Hope in it's hidden away location it doesn't get lost!"

  • "we have been to Juliette's about 15 times in the past 6 months and it never disappoints. This restaurant is becoming very popular and it is now hard to get into. You could once walk in and set in the bar area but now even if you go early the bar tables are usually taken. Even though we have been to this restaurant numerous times and the owners are always there, they never remember us. I like a good local place to remember the regulars and squeeze them in when they can. But we keep going back due to the outstanding food and the friendly bartenders and wait staff. "

  • "We have had many lunches and dinners here but this visit didn't make the cut. The cheese tray was excellent with a 5 cheese selection. We ordered the steak and the lamb entrees. Both were tough and the steak had so much muscle in it. "

  • "We have dined at Juliette several times and are always amazed by the fabulous dishes and wonderful flavors. We started with the mussels which are always great and the roasted beets were very good too. The roasted quail was amazing. The striped bass was perfectly cooked - crispy skin and fish tender and moist. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Our server, Kelsey, has waited on us the last few times and he gives excellent service. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "Juliette is a find. The service is always excellent; staff are friendly and engaged. The menu is fit for foodies. Food is very good. I love the wine list because you can order a 3oz pour vs a whole glass, which is great for tasting as well as being able to drive home! Enjoy!"

  • "Unbelievable meal. Quail was moist and flavorful while sea bass tasted as if it was caught hours ago. Amazing restaurant and owner Juliette is both gracious and a raving BEAUTY QUEEN who I am told was a former contestant in the in the Miss Universe contest."

  • "Seasonally changing menu showcasing fine preparations of small plates and entrees bursting with unique features. Great wine list or BYOB for $15 corkage. Try the pork belly and the pork cheeks, wonderful tartare of tuna, and roasted quail. Outstanding service. Week nights an easier reservation as weekends. Can be crowded"

  • "I have introduced this restaurant to over 43 people this past year, which means I have been here as many times. I have yet to be disappointed. My friend had the pork belly sandwich and couldn't stop talking about it. I am so hooked on the Turkey sandwich that I can't breakaway from it and have some of my other favorites. This restaurant really is the best place to go for lunch and even better for dinner. "

  • "Maybe I'm getting old, but the place has so many hard surfaces that it is difficult to have a business lunch and actually hear the conversation. The food was good, but nothing fantastic for the price. I won't be going back soon."
