We had several friends tell us to try Julian Serrano's while in Vegas. We are glad we did. They specialize in tapas. It was perfect for my husband and I. We got to try out great food but not be overly stuffed afterwards. Everything we ordered on the menu was excellent. The service was amazing.

Visited Julian Serrano for lunch during restaurant week and we were extremely please with all aspects. Food, service, atmosphere and $20 for lunch for THIS wonderful food? What a deal. We have found a new favorite place in Las Vegas. It was truly a memorable lunch. Mushroom soup with foie gras toast, rib eye with Japanese eggplant, chicken skewer over beet hummus, dense moist cake with ice cream for dessert and the flan all were truly outstanding.

  • Felt like an airport lounge

Since the Aria basically looks and feels like being in a nice airport, I guess it was only fitting that the food and service at Julian Serrano was like eating at an "okay" airport restaurant. I was excited about trying Julian Serrano because it had fairly good ratings and was on the cheaper side. The decor looked cheap and tacky and the food was underwhelming. Of the Tapas we sampled, the "Tuna cones" were by far the most interesting. The paella was a disaster and I would not recommend ordering it unless you like your seafood overcooked and your rice soggy and bland. I wouldn't go out of your way to try this place... if you are staying at the Aria, I would recommend sticking to the tapas rather than the larger plates.

Good food samplings prepared fresh. Good for lunch, happy hour, late evening snack. Service is too slow for Pre-show dinner, even though they assured us we had plenty of time, we were late! Ask for the check before the last dish is served!

Excellent food, something different for Las Vegas. Staff great and food excellent but did take a while coming out and we had to wait 30 mins for 2 of the dishes, this was after we had finished the rest of the food. Lovely deserts too.

The quality overall, food-wise was lacking. We sent back the calamari which was cold and chewy. The sliders were tasty, but tiny and the rest of what we ordered from the menu was the same. Either poor quality or small in portion. Even the waiter remarked that the good was a far cry from authentic Spanish cuisine. I do not recommend.

One word to describe this experience: underwhelming. $200 tab for two. Small plates were very small - as in one bite. Service was poor, and food was just okay. We left the restaurant still hungry and very disappointed. I do not recommend.

Food is amazing, beef and cheese tapa included a filet of beef that was so tender, you could cut it with just a fork. Service was attentive but understated and very professional. Great, delicious, fun original cocktails. Overall, loved it. It's pricey, but worth it.

Pardon my French but this was a sensational meal for $39 (before 7pm.) My lobster gaspacho was the best version of the cold tomato soup I have had despite years in Paris, DC, Seattle and Las Vegas. The ladies shared their stuffed peppers--- almost as good. Main course of crisped chicken breast on cabbage and peppers with sour cream sauce was delicious if a little over cooked. The ladies' salmon sautéed in lemon and soy was better. Deserts were great, too, chocolate cake with sour watermelon sorbet, Spanish rice pudding glazed like crème caramel and my almond cake (the least flavorful of the three). This may be the best dinner bargain in Vegas.

First of all I must thank Jason our waiter!! What a pleasure and gem!! He was helpful, engaging and super friendly!! Totally made our vegas experience on our last night!! After overspending for dinner the first night in vegas at supposedly the finest french restaurant in vegas with a pretentious waiter who knew nothing about the menu we almost gave up on a good meal and good service!! Well let me tell you we received a great meal and great service!! It is obvious management at Julian Serrano-Aria realizes how important service is!! My wife and I couldn't of been happier with Jason!! He was attentive from the minute we arrived. He checked on us at appropriate times to make sure everything was to our liking!! It was!! Thank you Jason!!

  • Shamefully Bad Food

My girlfriend and I were very excited to dine here but the food turned out to be appallingly bad, especially for the price. One of our dishes was described as eggs with chorizo on top of fried potatoes. The eggs were bland and mushy, the chorizo had the taste and texture of mediocre hot dog meat, and this restaurant actually had the gall to serve these things on top of pre-made french fries for $11. The other wildly overpriced "tapas" were consistently ill-conceived, poorly cooked, under-seasoned, or some combination thereof. I have never been actively insulted by food before, so the dining experience was unique in that respect. Julian Serrano should be ashamed. Avoid this place if you like food at all and have a modicum of self-respect.

We made a reservation based on some other good reviews, but we're pretty disappointed. It was incredibly loud for starters & my husband could hardly hear a word I was saying. I expect that in a bar but not the entire restaurant. We were seated, but after the initial server assistant/busboy came to tell us our server would be over soon to go over the menu with us it took another 30 minutes for anyone to come and we had to wait that long just for water! The busboy apparently forgot that when he greeted us. All of the entrees we ordered were presented well but the taste left a lot to be desired. We had the grilled shrimp, Maryland crab & avo, short ribs & beef & cheese. I wouldn't recommend any of them. The mixed romaine salad was decent

This is a Tapas style restaurant. We enjoyed many of the dishes and the waiter was very helpful in making suggestions as well as helping us with how much we should order. Its hard to get away from the ambiance of being a restaurant in a casino, but they do an excellent job of this. Good Vegetarian selections; Some dishes I liked - Stuffed Dates; Rabo De Toro (Oxtail); and the Spanish Tortilla.

The menu looked great but the food didn't live up to the menu and advertising. The ceviche was not ready (raw, needed more time in the lime juice). The tapas were generally greasy. Individual pieces were different sizes, looked odd. The champagne was cool, not cold. We left after our first round of tapas and went to another restaurant in the Aria which was spectacular. Too noisy for easy conversation.

Everything was exceptional, however the piaella we ordered was supposed to take 45 minutes and arrived in probably about 20, so in that sense we felt a bit rushed. However our server was apologetic and said that that was not the way it should have been done. I would indeed go back and sample their food again.

I am not a fan of Spainish but this was the best Spanish food I had thus far. We tried many of our server's (Beatrice) suggestions and they were all great, the best bite was the oxtail tapa. The prices are a bit high but for Las Vegas strip, the price seemed on par perhaps cheaper than many of the high end place. Sour cherry cocktail was amazing with the food, I enjoyed it although I rarely drink. The ambiance is electric some can be hard to hear or converse during dinner.

We have taken large groups to dinner at Julian Serrano twice. Definitely get a reservation for large groups, and make sure that everyone is there on time! They would not seat incomplete parties, but we made our way to the bar while we waited for the stragglers. Tapas is a fun option, as it gives everyone a chance to try a few different things. I would not order the duck salad again, but the other small plates were good and our shared paella was rather nice.

The Spanish-themed menu at Julian Serrano was quite authentic. As one might expect from a restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, the prices were a bit high compared to a neighborhood haunt. We had the paella and it was indeed quite filling for two people. It was a bit loud and the tables are just a bit too big to easily have a normal conversation.

Wonderful tapas!! Had peppers stuffed with goat cheese, crispy artichokes, japanese eggplant, oxtail with mashed potatoes, iberico and beef sliders. The favorite was the peppers with their luscious sauce that was finished up by cleaning the plate with bread. All were really excellent. Unfortunately, the mixed paella was not as successful. it had a somewhat overwhelming smokiness which made the rice almost unpalatable. We mentioned to the waiter that we enjoyed the tapas more than the paella (without actually complaining about the dish.) He comped us two of our three desserts ( all excellent, especially the churros with chocolate/chili dipping sauce) because of that comment. Cocktails excellent as was sangria. Knowledgeable staff.

The restaurant is a little crowded, they could rethink their table placement. We sat off a peninsula on the bar. Four of us went to have a fun dinner before seeing a show. The We had a blast, the cocktails were amazing (even if a bit pricey, but hey, it is Vegas) The menu is massive. Ask for advice from your server! Our server, Jason, recommended the oxtail and yellowtail tiradito, two of our favorite dishes. Definitely order the tuna cones, they didn't finish the meal, but they finished us!
