The restaurant is located in a strip mall so the ambience is not as good as other places in OC. However, the food and service more than make up for the lack of ambience. We had a great meal with our party of 6 adults amd the wait staff was quite good and knowledgable. There are several unusual meals here--the soy duck stands out--which are approachable.
My only concern about our experience was the wait for the food. The wait between bread to appetizers and then to entrees was too long (15 minutes for apps and then 25 mins for the entrees). The place was busy (we were seated at 8:30 pm) but a party of 6 should have gone quicker. It is early in the season so maybe it will be faster in a few weeks.

Reservations are suggested. They were waiting for us! Food was creative. Presentation was great. The curry crab cake was not suited for my taste. Filet mignon fastatic. It's an unpretentious place in a strip mall, but offers excellent food. The menu is a bit limited and changes from time to time, but the chef does an excellent job of sourcing local grown or caught food into excellent dishes. We did not even know the restaurant exists (in a strip mall a few doors down from Food Lion). The Prix Fixe 3-course dinner selections look appealing to us. I had Carpaccio, Pasta Salad, and Filet Mignon. My husband ordered the Tomato Soup, Arugula Salad, and Filet Mignon. Our son ordered the Caesar Salad, Braised Pork Belly, and Salmon Rockefeller. We were all happy with our choices. Good food. Good service. Good prix fixe price. We probably will visit again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMprice fixe is the best!we had the best time at jules yet again. the bread was amazing and if may family liked it, you know it was good. each meal was hand prepared, wonderful tomato soup with bread with asiago that reminded me of a grilled cheese with tomato soup on an upscale version. kellie was an outstanding waitress. we can't wait to come back again.
