JT Schmid’s was established in 1997 on a simple premise – to offer a splendid variety of the finest California cuisine and microbrews under one roof. We also wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm & inviting, thus our dedication to craftsmanship is reflected in our comfortable yet lively surroundings. And, because we take pride in our brewing process and delicious food, we have displayed our brewery and kitchen so that you might enjoy watching our Chef and Brew master as they carefully work their magic. It is our sincere hope that our commitment to quality will make us your favorite brewery and premier eatery in Orange County. California Cuisine best describes our diverse menu. We offer cuisine from all corners of the world. The centerpiece of our kitchen is a wood-burning brick oven which generates gourmet pizza and other of the Chef’s creations. • "Our favorite place to eat in Tustin. Great service and food."

  • "I am in love with the JT Buffalo Wings. There is something about them that is incredibly addictive. Their beers are also amazing. I prefer anything they make over one of the chain brands like bud or coors. Now the negative and the reason for only 3 stars. In addition to the wings and beer we got BBQ chicken breast. The Chicken in the entree was nothing like the white mean goodness in the boneless buffalo wings. Instead it was a pounded thin, flat, piece of over processed rubber chicken. It was awful. The BBQ sauce was watery, and not so great. I tried salvaging it by dipping the rubber chicken into the buffalo sauce I love so much, no luck. So, for this place I'd stick to their favorites. Boneless buffalo wings are a must."

  • "We live right down the street and the last 2 times we have been here, the service has been so great that I needed to post about it! We had the same server both times, John B. He was a tall, dark hair guy with glasses. Anyways, we have a toddler and as any parent knows, it's hard to go out to enjoy dinner with a toddler. Lol. But everytime we come here, we actually can have a nice dinner and our toddler is entertained the whole time. John B. gives great service, our drinks are never empty and he actually takes the time to pay attention to our kid! She loves him! We definitely will be coming back on a weekly basis now, and will try to request him everytime!"

  • "I was not able to attend due to a family emergency but the rest of the group had commented how well organized it was for such a large group of people and that the time I had reserved was perfect so that everyone could order before the large lunch crowd arrived."
    Dined on 2/5/2014
  • "I always enjoy this place! Makes me feel at home. Just wish you would ask me about my experience at The Port restaurant. It was a disaster.....hot mess......a disappointment!!! Please contact me! 949-233-0326"

  • "Have enjoyed many lunches and dinners at this location and have never had a bad meal. The service is great weather it's crowded or in between rushes. We stopped in for a post-dinner bottle of wine and were seated and served promptly."

  • "Paul was amazing as always. The food was just how I asked for it. I always can count on a good meal and great service anytime I eat here."

  • "We ordered the ahi tuna poke and Hawaiian coconut shrimp, 4 martini's, blue cheese prime sirloin, and thai salad with seared ahi. The tuna was just ok. No flavor and the color was not as vibrant as it should have been. The Hawaiian coconut shrimp was good and that helped save the disappointment in the ahi tuna poke. My husband ordered the blue cheese sirloin "medium" but received it rare. It was disgusting to our taste. We sent it back and proceeded to wait another 12 minutes before it came back out again and by that time we lost our appetite. Waste of food and money. My thai salad was very bland that after 3 bites I was done. I couldn't taste the sear on the ahi and the salad had no taste. Won't be back again unless for drinks only"

  • "Food was cold and there was too much sauce on menu items. Not sure why this restaurant was packed."

  • "I have continued to meet people here for lunch as the service and food are very good and the beer (house IPA this time) is great. Keep it up."

  • "JT Schmid's is a brewery and a chain restaurant. Located at the Tustin Marketplace, it has the tourists, shoppers, diners, and bar hoppers. It's a casual spot and they have decent fried food options and typical American food. Good service and can be a lively crowd."

  • "When your forced to pay and 18% tip you expect good service. We thought we would go to dinner and a movie on New Year's Eve. The table next to us arrived after us got their food before we did. The desert came before our food. The dinner was served in bits, you got a sandwich and later came the fries. I've never had fish and chips served with thousand island dressing. By the time tarter did come our food was cold. We will not recommend this place to anyone. Our server seemed to try to correct everyone else's mistakes, but the overall experience was not a group effort. It took so long we missed our movie"

  • "Our server was excellent. She made great wine recommendations and constantly checked on us. Very attentive. Food was really good however I'm not particularly fond of huge chunks of garlic in my garlic mashed potatoes."

  • "Location is @ " the District " in Irvine, very brand new. However, food is very ordinary and not that great. They kind of gave me a feeling of BJ, but their food is way better."
    Dined on 12/30/2013
  • "The Servers were terrific. We waited and waited for a friend to arrive and the Servers were so congenial about it and let us sit for an hour waiting, before we ordered. The food was very good and hot! The decibel level of the noise was my only complaint but it could have been caused by bad acoustics. If service is as important to you as it is to me, go!"

  • "As always the food was excellent! Enjoyed my dinner"

  • "All the food was good, but my favorite was the grown up mac n chz w/ bacon and jalepenos!!! So awesome! !"
    Dined on 5/10/2013
  • "Brewpub. Had the IPA. Strong bitterness and some aroma from the hops. Mild malt flavor. For dinner I had the Chilean Sea Bass on rice. Fish was cooked right. Soy ginger sauce had good flavor, but slightly on the salty side vs. sweet."

  • "Had a great dinner here with my girlfriend along with Ducks hockey and College football game being played on the various TV's. With all this happening, we were seated quickly. Our server took care of us like we were royalty and the food...in all honesty, was some of the best I've had in ages. She had the Pasta and chicken and I had the jambalaya I sound like an "insider" but I am not. Food and service was great."

  • "Food is not up to par with Yardhouse. Service was friendly and prompt. The spicy chicken wings were good, but the baby back ribs were luke warm and not very juicy. The buffalo burger was ordered pink in the middle and was delivered medium well. Had a tasty dessert. Probably better to just get drinks and appetizers but for a main course, and at the price they charge, I wouldn't recommend."

  • "From the service to the food, this is truly one of the better places for lunch in the Tustin area. Great beer selection too."
    Dined on 11/2/2013
  • "Pros: food is great. The portions are big. I got the cowboy burger, which was 2 patties with 2 huge onion rings on top. It was really good. The beer is good, but the pitchers are very small. Just enough for 2 pints exactly."
    Dined on 10/26/2013
  • "I decided to give this place a second chance and I just shouldn't have. There's really nothing good at all about it. The food and service are both mediocre at best and the people that work here are just not friendly or professional. There's really no good reason to eat here."
    Dined on 10/6/2013
  • "Nice selection of items, but some flavors/textures not to our liking."
    Dined on 10/16/2013
  • "I have been to this place several times. The food is good and there are TVs everywhere so you can watch the game. I had the Jambalaya. I had them make it spicy because the first time I ate it, it was just too tomato-y. This time it was much better. My wife had the club hamburger. All hamburgers come with two patties. They have a "rare to well-done scale" and will cook it rare for you which I find is getting harder to find people who will do that. Anyone who will must trust their beef product. If I find a restaurant that won't cook rare, I won't patronize it again. My wife asked for medium and they overcooked it so we sent it back. Came out perfect the second time. Waitress was friendly and upbeat. Good service. I will continue to eat there."

  • "I went to dinner at jt Schmidts and the place was very busy lots of off the clock bussiness people were there chatting loudly through out dinner watching the game etc.other than that the food as always was very good along with the service despite how busy it was for a Thursday night."
    Dined on 10/10/2013
  • "The place was packed due to a charity walk in the area and they did a great job getting the food out to everyone."

  • "First visit was with the family: Chilean Sea Bass was excellent and was a generous portion! Hubby enjoyed the Hibachi Filet Steak. Other adults in the group were also first-timers and all seemed to be satisfied with their different choices. I love the 1000 pts through Open Table! Last visit, hubby had the New York steak sandwich and loved the strong grilled flavor of the meat which was cooked just right. Although it was way past lunch, I wanted the Shrimp Louie Salad, which only available during lunch, but they happily accommodated me! It had tons of shrimp and avocado, which I loved!!! Kudos to the excellent service each and every time we dined! Yup, I'll be back!"
