Catering: Joy caters all-sized functions from office lunches to ten-course receptions. We work with clients to create a custom menu that reflects their individuality and preferences. We do off-site catering anywhere in the GTA as well as on-site catering at OverJoy, our sumptuous second-floor lounge, which accommodates 65 for dinner or 100+ for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
Special Events & Promotions: Joy Bistro Bar may be booked out for events of many sizes. We have a bistro that seats 80 with a licensed capacity of 120, a bar with a capacity of 60, 2 ground level patios with capacities of 40 and 114, and a second floor terrace patio that is perfect for small intimate parties of 16 or less. "We both ordered from the $30 Prix Fixe menu. Soup & Salad apps were ok, braised ribs were not very flavourful but cod main was tasty served on a bed of mediocre risotto. Service was good, but food took a very long time to arrive (30 min between apps and mains) This wasn't a big deal for us because we weren't in a hurry, but other tables were noticeably perturbed. Next time we're in the area we'll find another place to try."

"The ambiance and location are great and the food was pretty good but the service was kind of terrible. Our waitress was very friendly but the service was ridiculously slow. It took a long time for her to come and take our order, what seemed like forever for our food to come and we actually had to stand up and start putting on our jackets to get the bill, even though we asked for it 10 minutes earlier. We were there to celebrate some good news and the bad service pretty much ruined our evening. We were also considering holding our upcoming wedding reception there but not anymore..."

"Though my friend had been to Joy Bistro several times, it was my first visit. Quite impressive with the service... Everyone there was friendly and attentive that evening. My appetizer (Calamari) was great - lightly battered, moist, tender and the dipping added an extra zing; though the prime rib could be better with my preference of medium rare (than medium well on one side). Definitely will come back again and explore their menu."

"I was there during Winterlicious, so they were quite busy, and we had to wait a long time for our food, but the waiter was very apologetic and honest about the delay. The food was good, and the restaurant looks really nice after the makeover."

"En"joy"ed this restaurant very much.I liked the look of this place-from the inside and out-very relaxing and comfortable with the stone walls but a little more upscale with the tablecloths and chandeliers. We went during Winterlicious and had their prix fixe menu. I had the tomato/red pepper soup(delish)as a starter and the pork dish as an entree(also very tasty). Good size portions. For dessert, I had their cheesecake-I love to bake and this one was right on the mark.Service was friendly and unintrusive. I shall return."
