Josie's WestHave eaten at Josie's westHave eaten at Josie's west several times and have never been disappointed .The food is always excellent and just the right portions6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVegans and meat eatersThis place was very good! Was it mind-blowing? No. But we all enjoyed our food and the menu catered to Vegans and Meat eaters in our group. Dessert WAS mind blowing though. Try the pecan pie!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh VarietyIn addition to great service and a clean, crisp ambience, Josie's menu has excellent variety of choices, so that all kinds of people can have a great meal together.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMhealthy & deliciousWe really appreciate food that we can enjoy for its taste, variety and preparation while knowing it's nutricious and not high in calories. Josie offers a wide variety of options, all well-prepared from quality ingredients, from salads to steaks. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. The wait staff are knowledgeable and they can adjust menu items to suit particular preferences. If we had Josie's where we live, we'd eat there every week.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe find Josie's to fit theWe find Josie's to fit the needs of small groups - vegetarian/meat lovers. We highly recommend Josie's!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat mother's day brunchMy brother and I took our Mom here for Mother's Day, and she absolutely loved it! As did we! The food was incredible. We tried the club sandwich, the omelets, the Mediterranean salad, and the butternut squash soup, and they were all delicious! The restaurant is predominantly organic, so the flavors are vibrant and delicious. I also really loved the Tropical Sunset Bellini. I highly recommend this as a great brunch spot!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat time!We had a great Mother's Day brunch. Server was very friendly, prompt, and we had a great meal! Thanks!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMJosie's - YUM!!!Josies's is just that far south from where we live that we often forget about it as a place to go. Never again - Josie's has something for everyone and healthy, healthy, healthy!!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMReliable and deliciousWe wanted identify a conveniently-located place with consistently good food on the Upper West Side. Once again, our selection of Josie's was perfect.
Three in our part, this time, each person raved about the clear care exhibited by the Kitchen and friendly floor staff. A real treat!!
Strongly recommended. Wish we had a Josie's West in Los Angeles.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFinally I get to taste this...... and I was not disappointed! Really great menu, great service and somewhat reasonable prices! (Especially for the large size of the entrees)4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch!Went for brunch with a girlfriend, and remembered what a great neighborhood place this is! I haven't been in a while, not sure why, but can't wait to go back for dinner. Love that they have organic items and sustainable wines. I had the grilled tofu salad, which was amazing and my friend had the veggie burger (which I will try next). They have air baked fries, so healthier too. Great prices on wine at brunch, too. Can't wait to go back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely FoodHealthy lovely food and quiet atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed evening here. Thank you4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWent with some girlfriendsWent with some girlfriends for brunch, and felt a bit out of place, as it was mostly families with children. Otherwise, very good food and drinks.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting menu, deliciousInteresting menu, delicious food, pleasant service, all good.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMStill a favoriteHaven't been here in a while because it's out of the way for theatre trips, but we needed a vegan-friendly restaurant for a family post-matinee dinner, and this was a great choice. Our vegan and vegetarian both loved the salad with tofu, and other choices (squash soup and crabcakes, salad with bass special) were also delicious. The only disappointment was the steak special -- large portion, but on the tough side. We were given a nice table for five by the window, and the service was efficient and friendly. We will be back!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI have a walking buddy, weI have a walking buddy, we love to plan hours-long walks around NYC & make stops for a bite & a beverage and do all of our catching up. This was the perfect early Sunday brunch spot for us. Not a 'scene', no pretention, but really good food, nice portions and healthy options. I'm on a grain-free diet so my breakfast burrito with the sans-tortilla request was met without batting an eye, and it was delicious. We will be back.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the food at Josie's!I love the food at Josie's! I had the crusted tuna dinner with bok Choy, brown rice and veggies. When they were on the upper east side we would ordered this every week. My friend had the pork chop dinner and the portion was hearty! I wish they would re-open on our side of town. I tried their other Josie's when they existed near Lincoln center and also on 3rd ave in the 30's. neither of those were as good regarding the food or the service which is why they probably closed. The 2nd avenue subway construction is what drove them away from the upper east side. We're hoping they return. Their food is fresh, healthful and tasty.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMlocally sourced, organic, locally sourced, organic, well-made food, slightly Asian -- great juices and drinks too. A leetle loud but worth the time and the $$ --4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent for brunch GreatExcellent for brunch
Great fish as well for dinner4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent. OurThe food was excellent. Our waiter was ok - he forgot to bring the juice that we ordered. One was for an adult, which was fine. But one was for a toddler - not as cool. The busboys were excellent. I would return, it might have just been our waiter.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMreliable & convienentI visit NYC frequently and I always visit Josie's when I am here. It is one of my favorite places to dine in NYC3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe four of us shared a bunchThe four of us shared a bunch of appetizers for our dinner. All were delicious, especially the crab cakes and shrimp. The waiter was good, helpful and the servers prompt in removing dishes we'd finished since we had a lot of plates. It was a good and fun meal.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect for dinner before a showwas very surprised at how much I enjoyed my meal. I had the bass special and it was perfect. My husband had the filet mignon medallions and they were delicious too. Nice price, and left feeling healthy & happy. Will return.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the perfect placeThis is the perfect place to go to dinner before a show at the Beacon Theatre. We have tried most of the chicken and seafood dishes and they were all delicious. My wife loves the martinis. The wait staff was very helpful for a friend with dietary restrictions. We will be back for dinner before our next concert.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMPlenty of choices whetherPlenty of choices whether you're looking for meat, fish, or vegetarian options. Entrees are surprising large. Tables by the large windows provide good views of the active Upper West Side street scene.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was amazing. ServiceFood was amazing. Service was good, and that is saying a lot for the busy time we were there. I have nothing bad to say. A bit pricey but what do you expect in NYC?3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect when going to thePerfect when going to the Beacon. But we would go back again either way.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meeting placeJosie's West is a great place to meet friends for a relaxing dinner. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It gets a little loud as it gets crowded, but never too loud for conversation.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI miss the Upper EastsideI miss the Upper Eastside Josie's which closed because of the 2nd Ave subway construction. Their prices are higher than they were when East by a few dollars per menu item but the food is still good if you like healthful and natural foods. I love their crusted tuna, their macadamia crusted chicken and the turkey meatloaf but have tried others that were also good. Best is their multi grain bread! We had a young Irish waitress who was very sweet, accommodating and helpful. Some of the Westside wait staff have not been as nice in the past. Overall, it was good.2/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, organic andExcellent food, organic and healthy options without sacrificing taste. I have already been back twice this week.2/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBest spot in the neighborhoodBest spot in the neighborhood for lunch. Love the focaccia!2/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
