We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and I had hear for some time how good Josephine's was. I had the best crabcakes ever and the staff and kitchen were very accommodating to my dietarian needs and wine tastes. The only negative was my husband's steak; he would only say it was ok and he ate only half of it.

Great food, with a good menu selection. Appreciated that small plates are available for many of the entrees. Good selection of wines as well, with reasonable prices. Dessert was outstanding (pumpkin cheesecake)! Service was friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. Course timing was perfect. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last.

Mark is a genious with his cocktail creations. We had the Bloody Mary and Cosmo. Oustanding! Bloody Mary came with crispy bacon and a home made stuffed olive. Cosmo had colorful sugar around the rim of the glass. You will love them! Also, Melody was our server. She is like a favorite aunt. Personable and thoughtful.

Service was prompt, waiter knowledgeable, and presentation was incredible. Thought we were looking at a picture from Food & Wine magazine! Delicious, although just a shade pricey in my opinion. Only problem is not enough parking, but we understand that is being addressed. Definitely will return in the future!

Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't up to its usual standard tonight, taking over an hour to serve the entree after the appetizer. The waiter seemed inexperienced as well. The manager was extremely gracious though and reduced the cost of the meal.

There are many good restaurants in Greensboro, but Josephines is definitely one of the top 2 or 3. The food preparation is amazing. The Flatbread on the appetizer selections is a must taste. My wife had that as her entree and the pear salad, which was great. I had a special offering featuring a flat iron pan cooked ribeye steak with a sorghum BBQ sauce which was beyond wonderful. The accompanying green bean-asparagus casserole was superb. Great and timely service as well.

Eclectic atmosphere in an old converted building sets the tone for this neighborhood gem. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and started with drinks at the bar. Mark ( tending bar) is the best mixologist I've ever encountered (and I've dined all over the globe). Our party of four ... two of us ordered the salmon special , one ordered the catfish and one the burger. All parties were very pleased with the quality, quantity and persention of their meals. The salmon was outstanding! Our server was good but could have been somewhat more attentive to our wine glasses. And the red wine portion of the wine list ( Fernch offering in particular ) could use some enhancement. But... Josephine's is a winner... a must stop if your in Greensboro!

I love Josephine's for 3 reasons: food quality, diversity of menu, and great service. Josephine's rates top notch in all three. Taking care of customers is a priority for this restaurant. My friend was unhappy with the taste of her cocktail and the server immediately offered to replace the drink. I especially like the offerings of small plates. I highly recommend this fun, upbeat restaurant!

I went to Josephine’s Bistro with my wife for a date night. We were looking for a nice atmosphere and higher-end food. The decor was nice, dimly lit and cozy. The food prices were on the high end, but the descriptions of the dishes made it seem worthwhile. The wait staff was very good. We ordered the Chicken Milanese and Carrot Gnocchi. The one complaint I had was that the dishes were very bland. I don't think that either were seasoned at all. The Chicken Milanese basically tasted like bread crumbs. Even the Carrot Gnocchi tasted very flat. For an 18-25 dollar entree, I would expect a more impressive flavor. I might try Josephine’s again, but would be hesitant given the other good choices in Greensboro at this price level.

Wonderful evening spent with out of town friends. Terrific and friendly service. Food and drink were great. Too bad there is no wine cooler for the red wines, which are always at room temp or higher here. For such a nice wine list, the reds this is the only drawback that I can ever see when we dine here. Otherwise, can't wait to return.

I couldn't rate at 3.5 and I just can't give 4. Let's start with the fact that they share a parking lot with the burger bar next door. I had to park on the road two blocks away on a rainy night. Minus .5 stars. We walked in and there was no host/hostess. A bartender had to hunt down the host for us. Minus .5 stars. We were looking for white table cloth and a quiet evening away from the kids. Not so much. This really is a bar with a restaurant. I had to yell at my wife across the table for her to hear me. I was not impressed with the bistro itself leaving me to take another .5 stars away. However, the food is AMAZING! Quality food for a fun evening, but not the place for a quiet romantic evening getaway from the kids.
