  • Catering: Jonathan's has been in the catering business for over 25 years now, hosting a variety of off site events in the region from political gatherings, to family reunions, to wedding receptions!

    We generally use our Special Event menus as a base guideline for menus but, as always with Jonathan's, we may personalize any menu to meet your needs!

    For off site catering, a typical catering fee will be applied varying from 10-20% additional fee.
  • Private Party Facilities: Jonathan's offers 5 dining rooms that can be used as private dining rooms along with a 3,000 square foot ballroom.

    Each room may be used for various different occasions and timing. We host post wedding brunches, celebratory breakfasts, conferences, training sessions, condo meetings, retirement luncheons, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings and more!

    We pride ourselves on being on the most flexible and personalized venue in the area for private events!

    We have one of the largest private lots in Ogunquit. We ensure all of our guests have a place to park, may it be in our main lot in front of the restaurant or our auxiliary lot across the street, on Main Street, within a 1 minute walk to the restaurant.

  • "We had dinner tickets included with our show tickets. Good Caesar salad made at table. Both of us had the Salmon entree and it was moist and delicious. The broccoli and carrots were perfectly done, not over or under cooked. The Jamison's mousse pie was OK, too frozen for my taste. It was a lovely dinner overall and the convenience of walking upstairs to the show made it perfect."

One can always expect a nice night out at Jonathan's. The Club upstairs offers a great selection of entertainment; quite remarkable for a spot away from the big cities. Jonathan greeted us as always and is a great host."

First time we went was as part of a package deal with the Anchorage ( a great place to stay) when we pulled up we hesitated but said lets check it out anyway. Very friendly and accomodating staff. My wife's only complaint was the lack of alternatives to potato (rice, orzo, etc) in many of the dishes. Worked for me but I love potato!"

  • "The minute you walk in you feel like your at a close friends house, it has a charm,a warmth and a cozy feel. It is fine dinning in a very relaxed atmosphere. I had the lamb sausage. Wonderful! it was done in a red sauce over pasta and vegetables. My sister had the baked stuffed haddock. Also wonderful. the fish was cooked to perfection! The staff was great. The menu had a good variety to choose from and the prices where in the mid $20.00 range. To top the night off we went up stairs for the comedy show. A great and reasonable night to entertain family and friends. Don't miss it!"

  • "All was fine until 3 or 4 mom's showed up with 6 children. Seemed more like 20! Real noisy unbehaved brats running all over the place! Wait staff was helpless to gain any control and the "mom's" we're of no help whatsoever, in fact, they were the problem! Way too loud to even have any normal conversations at our table which was way on the other side of the room. Made for a dissapointing evening at an establishment where we have had many great experiences before. Not their fault at all. They tried to situate that group away from everyone to no avail. Food and service were excellent. Just too bad about inconsiderate people which seem to be multiplying far too rapidly in my opinion. They're inconsiderate to the point of not even knowing it."

  • "I picked this restaurant,sight unseen,for a birthday dinner for my husband.We were headed to Maine for the weekend and I took a shot because they were having a band there that evening. When we walked in there was a blazing fire and a wonderful piano and sax player playing dinner music. There was also a huge fishtank in the middle of the dining room.It was a very warm and inviting atmosphere.Our waitresses,Sara and Jen, were personable and very helpful. Honestly, they were a very good coupling. One had a bit of a bubbly personality and one was a bit more dry; both were helpful and wonderful to work with. They put a candle in my husband's dessert and had the sax player play Happy Birthday! First time that ever happened to him! Very memorable."

Food was overpriced - no outstanding flavors or memorable dishes. We had rib eye dinner and Maine seafood pasta. Rib eye was well cooked but not outstanding. Pasta dish was mostly pasta and bland. Seafood chowder tasted of Worcestershire sauce."

  • "This was just the right choice for a special dinner! The service was impeccable. The ambiance set the mood for a relaxing dining experience to suit even the most discerning "foodie" and the food was amazing! Clearly the owners, the chef and all the employees share the same vision of providing a welcoming, sensory experience for their guests. We were there in August and enjoyed a variety of summer specialties. We even had a tour of the garden after our meal. Kudos to the chef for the unique menu items and the exquisite presentation. The next time we are in the area, we will certainly be back and we will recommend Jonathan's to our friends who will be traveling in the area."

  • "Lamb Pot Pie delicious. Lobster/shrimp perfect inSeafood Pasta; cherrystone clams dry/chewy like jerky. Our terrific waiter dispatched to other area during meal & bartender took over. Bartender was attentive & provided timely service, but no offer for overcooked clams. Should have replaced with properly cooked clams, substitution with lobster or shrimp, or small discount on bill. 2nd dinner: onion soup & jaeger schnitzel. Soup very flavorful, right amount of cheese. Pork schnitzel uniformly sliced, very tender, but a bit scorched. Sides well cooked & appropriately sized. Will dine here again. Much good here with potential for excellence. Kitchen needs to pay bit more attention. Wait staff needs to react proactively to correct mishaps."

My vegetarian dinner of eggplant, spinach and gnocchi was fabulous, though my wife's chicken piccata was just OK. The staff was well organized using tickets, dinner coupons and coupons good for drinks upstairs. We would certainly return herefor another dinner and performance"

  • "We went specifically to have dinner and see Marc Cohn’s performance after. The atmosphere was pleasant and a new coating of snow outside the well lit windows added greatly to that. The service was prompt and friendly and the gluten free menu was a welcome addition however it was mostly restricted to beef offerings and needs to be diversified. Our meals were nice but not exceptional and a little pricy for the offering. The show after was in an intimate setting upstairs and the closeness of the performers made it feel very personal. The room was understandably full and moving around was slow but not impossible. The biggest drawback to the show room was the folding wooden chairs were very uncomfortable."

  • "We booked Jonanthan's to have Thanksgiving Dinner with our parents. Booking via Open Table was easy. When we arrived there we waited about 30 minutes for our table (booked 2 months out). We all ordered some appetizers, they brought some bread and we had to ask for more butter a couple of times since there were 2 pieces for a party of 5. They also served this little dish of a slice of cranberry sauce (jellied), a couple of pickles, a couple of olives as well as pickled onions...for 5 people. It was a bit embarrassing and I was shocked they served this. We all god the traditional turkey meal which was okay - not amazing. Dessert was good but they had run out of basics like apple pie, pecan pie and pumpkin pie (for a 4:30pm reservation)."

  • "My wife and I have lived in the Seacoast area for 20 years. We had known about Jonathan's but had never tried it because it was a bit out of the way (We live in Hampton NH, about 30 miles away). The truth is, is that we were attracted by the prime rib special on last Thursday night. How bad could it be for $8.95? It was Great! Far better than our expectations ! Presentation a 10 out of 10 Taste a 10 out of 10 Service a 10 out 10 A Prime Rib dinner for the price of a decent 'burger? We'll be back to try other meals, and we'll bring friends with us."

  • "Thank gaud for Jonathan's; in a sea of closed for the season establishments, Jonathan's is a welcoming oasis. We were able to sit at the bar in a warm atmosphere, fire roaring, fresh and delicious food, good martini, nice wine (bartender choice)... it was wonderful and all during a snow emergency. Burger was cooked perfectly, fries were very good and the b ours in stuffed mushrooms yum. We were also there for a more elaborate dinner on New Year's day. Ribeye was perfect, asparagus spot on and the salmon was cooked just right albeit a tad too sweet for him. But devoured. =) cheesecake and berries with a bit of compote was a shared perfect finish. Service was superior!"

  • "We came down for a show and had dinner reservations at 6:15. We arrived on time and we didn't get our food delivered to us until 7:50 and it made us late to head upstairs. The food was so so, nothing spectacular, nothing jumped out at me on the menu so I had a great salad and a mediocre app. they ran out of mussels and another seafood appetizer, had to keep coming back to get a new order. Didn't get the beer order correct and didn't remember to take off the show credit right away. Great spot, nice ambiance but don't need to return any time soon. Would have been nice to see a shrimp or salmon entree or something more original than chicken piccata."

  • "The outside of the restaurant is very welcoming, a pretty country setting... the inside is also very comfortable and welcoming, with one exception, the huge fish tanks in the middle of the dining room are really out of place and ruin the look of the dining room. Too bad... The food was pretty good and the portions were generous. The waitresses were terrific, especially considering it was Thanksgiving at 8:00 pm and they were working all day ...they were still very friendly and attentive... All in all, worth a try ...I just wish they could move the ugly fish tanks."
