I have been eating seafood at Jonah's since 2006 our meals have always been cooked perfectly. I think the gumbo is as good as any I have had in New Orleans. Service is good from the moment you walk in the door. To find this in E. We were given a huge delicious slice of cake to celebrate our anniversary. I had a Ketel one citron Cosmo, perfecto! We shared the gazpacho shrimp which was perfectly portioned. the salad is not ordinary, it has dried cranberries, spinach, mixed greens, soy nuts, clamata olives, etc. no need for dressing! We both had the halibut. One broiled the other garlic peppered. A wonderful choice! Both of us has the sweetened au gratin potatoes. An amazing filling dinner. Had to take the cake to go. Wonderful ambiance. We sat by the windows and watched a mole, geese, ducks and chipmunks along the river, as well as fisherman fishing. We dined with a group of 8 on Saturday in celebration of my daughter's 1st birthday. When we arrived, we were seated at a table upstairs. I expected this because Shane asked me when he confirmed the reservation if anyone in my party would have a problem with stairs. I told him no because I forgot my grandmother would be joining us. When we arrived, the staff was gracious enough to accommodate us at a table downstairs instead. I know large groups can be a pain and I appreciate it. I had a cucumber martini that was so refreshing, and we ordered the crab and shrimp nachos, which were also very good. The Oyster Bar was very upbeat with great atmosphere. At the fish house, I ordered the Monkfish, which was divine! It tastes just like lobster!
