Jonah’s Seafood House specializes in seafood treats with an eclectic mix of steaks, pork, chicken and pasta dishes. The menu is printed everyday to keep pace with seafood seasons and offers hundreds of choices to please. Children’s menu, too! Lunch prices average at $9. Dinner entree prices average $18. The house specialties change with the menu. The Bayou Marlin is a Jonah’s Classic. The 2601 Oyster Bar is a casual, seat-yourself atmosphere set in a world class oyster bar. The menu is a diverse mixture of oyster bar treats from around the nation. New York, San Francisco, New Orleans, Tampa and Miami are all represented. Price average $7. The house specialty is a wide offering of flat breads and the signature Cuban sandwich. Jonah’s "Down Under" Banquet Bar & Grill is a banquet facility with capacity from 20-300.   • "The filet mignon steak at Jonah's is the best my wife and I have found in the Peoria area. We also enjoy the fresh fruit plate. The food is always very good and the service has always been great, so my wife and I celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries at Jonah's . This visit we were celebrating our anniversary and were disappointed that my wife had to eat alone while I had to wait for my steak to be prepared as ordered. I told the server it wasn't his fault, but it would have been nice to eat together on our anniversary."

  • "My expectations were really high on this restaurant, after hearing a lot of feedback about it. But it was just ok. They brag about having fresh food and prepared at the moment, but I got one order in less than 3 min... Food didn't taste like nothing spectacular, something you can find anywhere, nothing new."

  • "There was nothing lacking about our (my wife and I) dinner experience at Jonah's. The service and food was outstanding. A little pricey but outstanding. I enjoyed the King crab and Lobster dinner. The lobster was cooked to perfection and ,by far, the best lobster tail I've eaten in this area. I would definitely recommend Jonah's to friends and I look forward to going back."

  • "I've been to Jonah's several times and the food is always spectacular. The menu changes everyday depending on what the get shipped in that day so there are always new things to try. I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy. If you haven't been here before, the au gratin potatoes are a MUST TRY. They are cheesy and sweet and wonderful and probably the best part of my meal every time I go there."

  • "I always enjoy a local restaurant over the chains. Food is pricey here but good. We each had the broiled seafood platter which had swordfish which sadly lacked spices. I had the gumbo which came cold but was spicy from the sausage. Service was very good here."

  • "I've had my rehearsal dinner, a few lunches, and several romantic dinners at Jonah's. Each occasion was memorable and fantastic. The menu is well-priced for what you get, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable yet refined, the service is always fantastic, and the food is fabulous. Probably the most impressive part of Jonah's to me, is that they really try to impress with every little detail. So many upper scale and more expensive restaurants don't. They print your occasion on the menu to take home, they have special free desserts for occasions (ie: huge piece of chocolate cake for anniversaries) they specially prepare their fresh food, the free bread and spread is delectable, even the garnish on their drinks makes them special."

  • "Jonah's seafood is fresh, and you can tell! The scallops were some of the best I have ever had. My daughter's crab legs, and the wife's lobster tail were perfect! For those who prefer steak, the filet was done to perfection and as tender as could be. Make sure to get the sweet aug'ratin potatoes, they can't be described! It was nice to have our name on the daily menu while we celebrated our 25th anniversary. "

  • "We had the special of the evening Oho Fish (3 of us). I did not include the garlic sauce, which may have been why it was a bit tough (dry). The mashed potatoes were good. My husband and friend had the sauce and my husband said his was good. Our friend didn't remark either way. Our other friend had jumbo shrimp and liked them, but she didn't eat the mashed potatoes. It wasn't a "wow, that was great food", Nobody said that. We enjoyed the area view."

  • "I had heard a lot of great things, so maybe I came in with high expectations. The ambiance was ok. Service was good overall even if our waiter was a bit brash. I expected a lot more from the food especially. The tuna appetizer was fantastic, but the main courses left a lot to be desired. I had scallops with mango chutney. The mango pieces were cut way too big to be eaten with the scallops, and tasted as if they had fish sauce squirted on them. Scallops were greasy. My husband had the halibut and it was just ok as well. We won't rush back."

  • "We have gone to Jonah's every year for our anniversary for many years now, and it is wonderful! On the menu, our name is printed right at the top with "Happy Anniversary". I keep one and put it in my scrapbook each year. The food is amazing. The chocolate cake that we got from the restaurant for free for our anniversary was so big that we took it back to our room and ate it together later. Wonderful! A great place to enjoy a special occasion year after year."

Arrived 10 minutes before scheduled reservation after having difficulty finding parking, the hostess sat us at a table immediately. Food, drink, and service were good. The atmosphere definitely reflects the menu price. Highly recommend"

  • "I typically go there for the oysters, the oysters are on the half shell and the ambiance is very nice. Friday 3/28/2014. Oysters, the East Coast Blues were good, the Apolachicola's lacked flavor, but overall the oysters were shucked and cleaned well. The main course was flavorless and overdone, The fresh vegetables were very good except the broccoli need to be cleaned better. Service, the service was lacking the attention to details. No Bread service until we asked, waitress was non-existent and got things wrong the first time. But I still gave the service as Good because of the previous times I've dinned there the service was spot on."

Calamari was good. Shrimp cocktail was great. Felt was very overpriced. Main disappointment was no room in Oyster bar river view room."

  • "I've eaten at Jonah's many times over the years. I have thought that the last two times I've been there that the quality was not as good. Maybe new ownership or new chief. Cesar Salad was served in ice cold bowl and lacked dressing. Fish was very dry. Cream cheese served with bread, had to ask for butter. Not sure if I will return again."

  • "Service was good. Waiter made good suggestions. Throughout the evening he was attentive without being annoying. Salmon and Tuna were both very good. It was probably one of the better meals I've had in the Peoria area for some time. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars rather than 4 is because Jonah's is a very nice casual restaurant, not an over the top luxury experience, and I appreciate that. It is a relaxing atmosphere. Jonah's had been hit and miss over the last couple decades. This meal puts them back on top."

  • "Surprised my wife for Valentine's day at Johans. Good atmospher, good food, great service. We started with an appetizer, fried oysters. 3 med. oysters $10.00. I had a very small stake and small bowl of augratin potatoes. My wife had some shrimp stir fry that had 6 good size shrimp in it. A couple of beers and a couple of glasses of house wine we were over $100.00. Very over priced. We have been there before but don't remember paying this much."

  • "The food was terrible. I've been to islands, I know how fish is supposed to be, but that was no where close. My favorite item was taken off the menu and I know they jacked up the prices for that night. The waitstaff only wanted to get people in an out. They didn't care how you were treated. My glass was not refilled and the waiter didn't care at all about us, they seemed more inclined to serve alcohol to everyone rather than answer questions."

  • "The meal we expierienced on Friday was by far the best we have had all year and we eat out every weekend. The waiter Jay was actually on of the best I have ever seen and added to the overall dining expierience. this wasn't our first time at Jonah's but it was a great reminder why we keep coming back. Great Food, Great Service and affordable."

  • "We went to Jonahs for Valentines Day which was also our anniversary. We got right in (made reservations on open table). Were not used to paying a lot of money for dining out but this was our anniversary . My wife ordered the filet and king crab legs and I ordered the filet and scallops. Salad was good but had to remind the waitress to bring us our complimentary bread. Filets ok size not much flavor. Crab legs not so king. I had 1 1/2 scallops on my plate for an extra 11.00. Didn't feel to good about that. Overall for price and what we had and taste , hate to say not going to recomaend or go back. We did get a free piece of cake for our anniversary. That was nice."
