Food prepared as ordered5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFine dining in cajun/creole styleWonderful food, decent portions, classy setting, The wine pour was a bit stingy. We enjoyed all the Rodrigue paintings.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWent with friends, a coupleWent with friends, a couple visiting us from Vermont, and had a great time. We all loved the food, service, ambiance - the whole experience. The crusted drum and pan fried soft-shell crab were hits. I made up for not choosing the braised ox-tails during a visit a couple weeks ago and got it this time. A great dish - loved it. I think we've settled on Jolie's as our favorite dining spot in Lafayette. Delicious food at decent prices in an elegant setting,5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding in LafayetteThis was our first visit to Jolie's and we are already looking forward to another visit! Service was impeccable and the food outstanding!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMPretty interior although somePretty interior although some two top tables are a little too close to each other - I wish there was a better layout. Crab cakes and charcuterie board were great. We almost never order steaks when eating out but out waiter said that they had a new source for their meat and that the prime grade ribeyes were great. They were rather ordinary. Cooked as we ordered but nothing special - especially for the price being much more than all other entries. I should have gone with my first instinct and ordered braised ox-tails - at least I would have eaten something new for me. Still a nice night out. Will definitely be back.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AM6-course tasting menu was6-course tasting menu was heavenly!! Oysters, lamb, and meyers lemon cheesecake were my favorites! And as always, our server, Dorita, was outstanding!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was one of those mealsIt was one of those meals where everything was exactly right and nothing went wrong. Yellowfin on a romesco sauch was lick-the-plate good and the fish soup (cioppino) was good to the last drop. The appetizers of lamb meatballs with two sauces was a perfect starter, but the oysters Jolie were as well. The brownie desert was as rich and fudgie as a lava cake. I was expecting something to complain about but there was nothing, and the service was attentive but not overpowering. There are bar food specials on Tuesday and Thursday with special drink prices and I fully intend to go next occasion I have free.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique place for romantic dinnerUnique menu and interesting building for upscale food. We thought it would be more Creole but the menu is new American if you ask me.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe only thing about Joly's....The only thing about Joly's....
