John Palmer's Bistro 44Service needs some workMaybe our server was assigned too many tables for a Saturday night, but she was rarely in sight.
No bread brought to the table; no inquiry after entrees brought by someone else, no steak knife for the pork tenderloin, no inquiry whether we were done long after we finished.

I love the food, the wine list appeals to me, and the atmosphere is great. Bonus, it's close to home and I don't have to travel into a crowded and busy part of town. The steaks are the best in lake county and have plenty of apps and salads, they always have specials and always have amazing fresh seafood on the menu. I've never seen the same specials from week to week which means there changing things and trying new things out which i love. The nightly specials are always good and steaks are some of the best made easily able to compete with any high end steak houses. It's great that this restaurant doesn't go out of there way to make outlandish selections on there menu, which most people order but rarely taste good (aka east4 street) but focuses on making amazing food for everyone. The wine list seems good although we usually go for the same bottle each time we go.
