Arrived at 6:30 for reservation, seated immediately and was served shortly after we ordered. When we lingered too long, I told the waiter to bring the check while we started dessert, and the bill was paid as we finished. We then left in time for the opening bars of "Pirates of Penzance". Service is consistently good without being overbearing. Made early reservation for 2, there for bike event the next day. Due to traffic,etc was late and alone and w/ long ride next day not drinking wine. Would expect not the greatest service , but treated like I was a party of eight and ordering most expensive wine on the list. Very courteous and accomodating, no problem was told when called to explain I would be late and 1 instead of 2. Had choice of tables, great service and food was amazing. Veal cutlet special very tasty & tender, mixed gree salad w/ citrus had me licking the bowl. Sorry I couldn't try the wine list. Can't wait to go back. The food is excellent. The cost is a little high, but worth the price. On a warm evening we were seated on the indoor/outdoor patio overlooking the herb garden and the vineyard, with the mountains in the background. We had the best table in the restaurant. My dinner consisted of clams on the half shell with a glass of Chardonnay. Then I ordered a Caesar salad, which was outstanding. My entrée was the mushroom ravioli. Without a doubt, it was the very best I’ve ever had. I almost licked the bowl it was so good. This time we ate out on the patio with heaters and it was very nice. Our server was very nice and we enjoyed talking to him. Service overall was excellent. I had the cawliflower soup and stuffed chicken breast and both were outstanding. The chicken was prepared perfectly and was moist and delicious. My husband had the Rib Eye Steak which was very good as always. He loved the twice baked goat cheddar cheese potato. Brussel sprouts were very tasty. We stay overnight at the Vintner's Inn when we can - Which is on the same property. We brought friends with us this time and they liked it also. Great drinks, wine, and fantastic food!
